This is my "Cheers" my home away from home. It is a welcoming place that reminds me of being in Miami. The best part of this place is Roy (also known as H.A.M.). Roy is more than a server, he's a friend. He will make you smile on your best and worst days. He anticipates needs before they happen. It's actually a bit magical. This was my first time eating with this location. I've always had excellent experiences with the Marietta St one. I ordered through Uber Eats. What I received was cold and bland food. The Mexican corn off the cob and the steak taco needed salt and more seasoning. I've never had bland Mexican street corn before. The steak taco I received was filled with shriveled dry meat. The pineapple I ordered wasn't sweet and they didn't cut off enough of the tough part so some parts were inedible. The only thing that was good was the pork belly tacos, which I had to heat up. Hopefully dining in is a better experience? I hate it when restaurants don't put as much effort into delivery orders, especially because we're paying MORE than if we dined in. I come to this location quite often and I'm generally pleased after each visit. There's always a great mix of people here and the service is usually pretty good. I order the same thing every time, but during this visit I added the salsa verde. It was great! It tasted really fresh and had great flavors. My usual consists of the following tacos: Baja fish, sesame ribeye and oyster. I also get the Mexican street corn (off the cob) and an order of plantains. I know it sounds like a lot, but the tacos are tiny. All of the tacos are delicious and so flavorful! I love the sauces that they provide. The jalapeño is probably my favorite. The corn is some of the best I've ever had and the plantains are phenomenal. The sauce provided with the plantains helps to balance out their sweetness. Also, their margaritas are excellent. Overall, Bartaco is a cool, casual place with great prices to kickback with friends or even bring a date. read more

We had to flag someone down & they explained the menu & the concept, but we never received a waiter. The tamales were okay! They do have gluten free options... The shrimp taco was horrible!!! The guacamole is very spicy! The salsa verde was sweet. The spicy cucumbers were good. Pineapples with lime was okay! The chicken soup was ok. The grilled chicken was better than more of the taco dishes. The drinks from the bar were fantastic! I wouldn't go out of my way to dine here, but would maybe stop by for a drink and 2 oysters tacos! Mehhh.... AVERAGE. I'm confused about all the high ratings if we're being honest. Lets get into this review. Reservations: This part was super simple. I was dining with a pretty big party and was able to reserve a table through Yelp. A few hours later the restaurant got back to me through email and confirmed. The day of I had to push the reservation back and they were accommodating and I was able to request that we sit outside. Restaurant: The restaurant itself was pretty cute they have options for inside and outdoor dining. We outside along the street which made the perfect place to people watch. Food/Drinks: This is the part that was absolutely underwhelming for me. On each table there are cards with the menu and you are able to mark off what you'd like to order and hand it to your waiter...cute touch. I ordered a mojito and it just tasted like lime juice..no mint leaves..no sugar cane..for a drink over $10 the thing had absolutely no personality. Same with a spicy margarita my sister got..please just order beer or wine here..these seem like safe choices. I ordered a couple different things. I ordered two tacos (chicken & fish) which were miniature and average. The Mexican corn.....underwhelming. Lastly I got a small guac and chips and that was pretty decent. Service: I had a pretty great waiter he was attentive and worked very well with out large party If you know anything about Mexican food, I don't think that you'll be happy with this place. This is a fun taco place in Inman park. Like all the restaurants in Inman park, technically there's free street parking, but your best bet for parking is in the paid parking deck. As the name implies, you should go here for the tacos and drinks. They serve about 13 different fusion style tacos. The tacos are delicious- highlights include the portobello taco(possibly one of my favorite vegetarian tacos ever), baja fish, sesame ribeye and roasted duck. The tacos are small(think 2-3 bites) and they cost anywhere between $2.50-$3.50. Expect to eat about 3-4 tacos before you start to feel full. Their drink menu was also pretty good, margaritas were great. The atmosphere is lively, they have a boat house like decor, with booth seating, bar seating, and outside seating. Every time I go here there always a lot of people eating and having fun. overall i really like this place. It's a great place to bring a bunch of friends to relax and drink. read more

Finally came over and explored this much talked about taco spot! We started off with their amazing house margaritas (made very fresh with no pre-made mixes), then went to explore their menu. There are cards and pencils at your table for you to order your food, once your table is ready, you put up a card to signal the server. The tacos come out on trays and they clearly tell you which tacos are which, and then immediately dug in! The clear favorite at the table was the pork belly taco (one friend even said she had dreams about this taco) with a carnitas coming in at a close second favorite. We also ordered some street corn off the cob to share, which was very fresh and had great flavor. This was clearly a hot spot in this neighborhood, there was a great energy in the place with the bar packed at all times. Late post for this review but I had get it in! So wish there was a bartaco here in the Miami/FTL area! My first experience at this wonderful taco spot and it wont be my last. We came in on a late 4th of July night after watching fire works and dealing with traffic. It was 3adults, a teen and a 4yr old. We were all starving. My sister lives in the area and suggested bartaco and we were game. We walked in and was seated right away. The restaurant was also quite busy as I am sure others were just as hungry as we were. We got right down to business and ordered some drinks and lots of food. We had the Guac, Grilled Corn, Street corn fritters and an array of different tacos. The Baja Fish, Crisy Rock shrimp, Chicken Chorizo and Falafel. They all were very tasty. Hit the spot and we were definitely satisfied. This is a great spot for a quick or not so quick bite. The prices are great if you're only getting a few items. But that can quickly change if you have a larger party ordering as the bill can get high because you can't order just one thing. You want it ALL! So just keep that in mind. Overall, great food, great drinks and aesthetically pleasing decor inside. You'll have a great time..trust me. read more

First time here will also be the last time. If you want tacos, don't come here. Drinks? Maybe, but you got way better choices elsewhere. Simply the tacos are horrendous. They are charged for 2.50-3.50 depending on the protein and type you want. The tacos are in corn tortillas, singly wrapped. They're just so not good. I don't know any other way to put it. If you know your tacos, this is simply miles off. I can't dare to compare these to El Rey or any other great taco shop. The menu itself doesn't have that many options as with many other taco shops. So if you are here for food, this definitely limits your scope. I ordered a few types of tacos. Overall, the protein was incredibly dry. The sauces were also off. They were simply just so flat in taste. The portion size, never mind the price for now, was just too small. For example, I ordered a chicken-based taco. The protein was dry and no offense for any taco shop worth its weight, the protein simply shouldn't be cooked like this. Yes, sure some places will compensate with sauce, but this was lacking as well. Honestly, if I wanted some dry tacos, I could've just made them at home. Service, no offense, was absolutely not great. It took a while for the server to great us, and then he proceed to mixed up some orders. After ordering drinks for at least 10 minutes, he came back to say they ran out. Parking is in the lot across the street, they have complimentary parking if you get it validated. Bottom line: just don't come. read more

I LOVE BARTACO. It is my go to, especially when I have people visiting from out of town. Prices are reasonable, the food is fresh and the service is always quick and consistent. This location is so cute, especially in the summer when they open their outdoor seating. I usually get my tacos on lettuce wraps which is an additional 25¢ I believe so worth it. The guacamole is also TO DIE FOR. The chips always come out warm. Yum. They validate parking up to two hours in the garage behind the restaurant which is also a plus. Bartaco will go down in history as one of my favorite restaurants of all time! The atmosphere, food quality, and reasonable price is what makes this place so incredible. From the outside you can see the gorgeous patio, with low benches and a humongous fireplace! You are greeted by a friendly and knowledgeable staff, who also all happen to be very attractive! They are all in the same uniform, but each and every employee has their own unique twist added (whether it's colored hair, bandanas, or artsy jewelry.) This makes the atmosphere feel classy, but also relaxed and hip. It is an aesthetically pleasing restaurant, with white wood accents, woven basket chandeliers, photography on the walls, and a chill music playlist heard in the background. The whole place has a "classy California boardwalk" feel to it. As great as the restaurants vibe is, it's the food that keeps me coming back so often (I eat there 2-3 times a week). The main reason why Bartaco steals my heart is because it is incredibly vegan/vegetarian friendly for not being a specialty veggie restaurant! I usually enjoy the fried plantains (the sauce on the side has dairy), a cauliflower rice bowl, cucumber salad, black bean salad, chips & salsa, guacamole, and mushroom tamales. Yes, I usually eat all of this in one sitting! All of these options are vegan and taste so fresh and delicious. The red pepper romesco sauce that comes with the cauliflower is intensely good, I often have to ask for extra. Also, it isn't vegan But their mint chocolate chip gelato is the best mint ice cream I have had, ever! It has a real flavor of spearmint and huge chocolate chunk swirls throughout the dessert. Sometimes, I just can't resist. Most or all of the speciality drinks are made with fresh squeezed juice. The bartenders work hard pressing limes, oranges, grapefruit, lemons, blood orange, and watermelon right in front of you at the bar. Cocktails run between $8-$12; to me it's not a bad price for the quality you are getting. I usually enjoy a spicy watermelon margarita. It was so warm, fun, and busy, and you could tell that people were enjoying themselves and having a good time. Aesthetics were on point!! Speaking of on point, holy delicious tacos!!!! If you like spicy things, get the shrimp "banh mi" taco, it was so so good. I don't remember the name of the drink I ordered but it had peach nectar and jalapeño; it was super yummy but definitely more spicy than refreshing. This is the cheapest, unreliable thing they ever could've done. First appetizer came fast, then we had to order food after, so like THREE charges on the card for the same GD restaurant and it disengages the mood when u have to stop conversing to use your phone to order more things, like drinks etc. NO GOOD. Then you have a card that's supposed to serve as a hint that you have a question and the host stood right across from US looked at it and kept going...WTH? Food was great and drinks, but I can get that from MOST places in W. Midtown...? Where's the human interaction (this is what's wrong with the world today, people think TEXTING is personable). Bots don't replace HUMANS PERIOD, You want quantity or quality people? And we wonder why unemployment is up...? We should have went to the one on Marietta st. I haven't been to this one in a while and I was reminded why. The servers for our table seemed new, but they were very nice and did their best to be helpful. However, the tacos came to the table cold and the food runners (who made several appearances at the table) were pretty dismissive when we raised the issue. This was my coworkers' first time at Bar Taco and I feel bad for convincing her to come. The food being cold was unfortunate, but that can and was eventually fixed. The food is southwestern style so there are lots of great dishes that include fresh spices and peppers. My cousin sampled the "Ribeye Rice Bowl" and said it was delicious. For my dishes I chose tacos: the "Baja Fish" taco and "Portobello and Fresco Queso" taco. They were delish! The service was prompt and the staff very through on explaining questions I had about the dishes (not that l had many). Everything is served family-kitchen-style so it's always fresh and made to order. The ambience is laid back and relaxing and the lighting is really unique; they were wicker basket and added a cozy feel for me. The music was perfect and kept the "good time" flow going. Lackluster? About a year ago I visited bartaco at King of Prussia mall & was in love. Maybe I was just hungry that day. Maybe there's a shortages on spices due to COVID-19. Maybe this one just doesn't use spices. I don't know. But, the food was boring. The churros was tasteless, the chocolate sauce wasn't. The lobster taco had no essence of the brown butter it boasted. The duck and pork belly taco were fair. The oyster taco was blah. I don't know. The street corn was the best thing on the table. But, I wouldn't go back for it.
