Who doesn't absolutely love bad taco? Met the girls for lunch and it did not disappoint. Love the house marg made with fresh juice. Goes down too easy! Have to get the esquites when I go as well. This time, my favorite taco was the fried shrimp. Service is the greatest! They remembered my name when I walked out the door somehow even though there are 5 million people coming in and out. Our server was so sweet as well and she let us stay and yap at our table as long as we wanted. We all commented on how good the music was and were informed that the staff loves to put on the millennial bops!

It's an open, airy setting with a nautical decor. A fusion cuisine with Mexican dishes main focus. It threw me off a little. Started with Street Corn, Guacamole and chips. We then ordered Carne Asada, Pork Belly and Chicken Verde Tacos. It was good overall with smaller portions served. They offered a QR code to use and emphasized we can use it for anything we need. I am more of a traditional dine in customer. I had to waive down our server several times. For water, for menu questions and for our bill. Maybe they expected the QR code to be used.

Bartaco is perfect for Hyde Park happy hour with the girls! We were definitely the oldest people in the place, but that never stopped us from enjoying tacos & margs!

I know I've left so many reviews for Bartaco and they're always positive, but I had to come back and add another one. The new coco watermelon margarita is TO DIE FOR, seriously so good. I actually tried it because it was recommended by the bar staff, who are always so so kind. They even recognize my friend and me at this point since we come here so often, which just makes it feel that much more welcoming. Love this place so much, will definitely be back soon!

Best Tampa Margaritas in town. Happy Hours is the time to check this spot out. Just get all the small bites menu and you still under $50 bucks! Chicken fluntas were top for me.

I normally love bar taco but after eating here this evening I didn't feel well. Unsure what it was but everyone in my party felt the same. I ordered the sampler with chips/guac - corn - plantains - and cucumber salad 2 tacos and tres leche for myself (we did share the app) so I am thinking it's something that was in the app. Also the fire alarm was going on for about 15 mins while we were waiting for our checks it felt like it would never end. I normally really enjoy bar taco but this time my visit fell short.

We stopped here while shopping in the Village for a quick bite. The food was excellent- came quick and was super tasteful. The restaurant vibe was cool with a full service bar and outdoor area. We put our name in, but found a seat outside quick. The wait ended up being about 30 minutes with multiple tables still open throughout the restaurant. We were here on a Saturday and it was very busy, so we didn't have the best service. We waited about 20 minutes after finishing our drinks and food to get our check. There were several tables around us that also didn't get served in a timely manner. This brought our experience down a bit since everything else was so great.

Loved the ambience and service here. Located right in Hyde Park this location was packed when we stopped in for lunch on Sunday. Highly recommend adding yourself to their digital waitlist online. This doesn't guarantee you a seat. You still have to check in and it'll cut down your wait time. The food was consistent as the other locations. We ordered everything from the tuna rice bowl, duck Birria, chips with guacamole, Baja fish tacos and the ahi tuna tatako. All of the textures and flavors were on point. The food came out really quickly and our server was great. It's a great place to enjoy some margaritas and tacos. They have some nice vegetarian options as well.

I've visited Bartaco on multiple occasions. It's not a place I go to very often, but every time I've come here it hasn't quite exceeded expectations ~ especially when compared to many other restaurants in the Hyde Park area. Most recently, my sons and I stopped by during Gasparilla and waited about 30 minutes, which honestly wasn't bad at all considering the circumstances. Other nearby spots like Timpano had a 3-hour wait, and On Swann was completely closed, so Bartaco was definitely the more accessible option that day. Service is... fine. I can't say I've ever been blown away by it. One of the pros is that food comes out quickly, and they do replace water right away. That said, the QR-code ordering system seems to be the preferred method, and while traditional table service is still available, it sometimes feels like you're inconveniencing the server if you ask for it. I'm giving Bartaco 4 stars mainly because of the fun, lively atmosphere. However, both the food and service consistently fall just short. I ordered the ahi tuna bowl, which was overwhelmingly salty from the amount of soy sauce and spice ~ so much so that I woke up in the middle of the night chugging water. My son's pork belly bowl was also extremely spicy, and I wouldn't recommend it unless you really enjoy fiery dishes. The tacos, on the other hand, are consistently good. Even though Bartaco is located in the heart of beautiful Hyde Park, surrounded by great shops and businesses, it's not one of my favorite taco spots. Having lived in California, I'll also say that truly good, traditional Mexican tacos are hard to come by in Florida.

Food was not that great because it was insanely spicey. I love spice but sheesh. the ceviche tasted like thawed out cheap shrimp and cod. the drinks were strong and mine was great but the flavor was bland, I had a margarita but the paloma tasted terrible. the service was amazing and the ambiance was a bit overstimulating but it was a friday night, just expect to have a lot going on around you. i don't think i'd return, maybe hit up a food truck?

Tucked away in a Hyde Park, BarTaco delivers pure bliss with every bite. The street-style tacos burst with fresh, flavorful fillings--my favorite is the steak taco. Their guacamole is simply amazing, it's creamy and perfectly seasoned with just the right kick of lime and cilantro. Paired with inventive cocktails and refreshing margaritas that strike the ideal balance of sweet and tangy, it's a fiesta for the senses. Warm service and lively atmosphere make it a must-visit. Highly recommend

I went to Bartaco in the morning for an event and ordered French toast. It was pretty good overall, although I prefer traditional French toast without the extra crunch. I wish it came with a side but it was still filling. I've been to Bartaco before for lunch and dinner. Their tacos are really good but small, street tacos. Service is always great!

Love the huge variety of tacos here. I ordered the pork belly, roasted duck, Baja fish, and mushroom tacos, and they were all so different yet equally delicious. I honestly couldn't pick a favorite because each one had something special about it. The fish taco was surprisingly crispy, the duck taco had an incredible sauce and was very filling, the mushroom taco was unique and the pork belly was probably the most flavorful. One thing that could be improved a little was the service. We ordered eight tacos and had to remind our server about two that were missed, even though they were clearly written down. We also had to repeatedly ask for water refills despite sitting directly at the bar. That said, the restaurant was extremely crowded and busy, so I don't entirely blame the staff. It might help to have water bottles available for self-refills or larger water glasses, as I found myself feeling thirsty throughout the meal.

All was inviting, and a great way to remove yourself from the very busy atmosphere of the Marriott lobby which was crowded. We sat at the bar since we loved to be surrounded by the activity of the place. We started off with their special spicy margarita and ceviche. Loved that it was more Peruvian style, and not the tomato based one. More my preference of the lime taste. Then for dinner my husband had the strip steak, and I had the chicken fajitas. Both were flavorable, especially the sides, especially the corn cake type side, that were served with the strip steak. Both were seasoned well. My husband's flank steak, though delicious, was overcooked. The bar tender was attentive and answered all our questions about the menu, and provided some great suggestion including which entrees were most popular and also her favorites. Definitely will come back. Will also order the carne asada again but make sure to tell the server to cook the steak more medium rare than medium.

We're never made to feel like we're simply customers walking through the door. Nos reciben como familia, and that makes all the difference. I made an OpenTable reservation for 7 pm thinking it would be busy on a Friday night, but the…read morerestaurant was basically empty. Despite the lack of a crowd the service was still slow! We were sat at a high top table and it took almost 20 minutes before our waiter came to the table. Another hostess actually came by with waters and apologized for the wait before our waiter came to take our order. My partner and I ordered the table side guac, 3 street tacos, and a steak enchilada. We also ordered a Pacifico beer and my partner got a passion fruit iced margarita (slushee). When the waiter brought the drinks it was a completely different margarita. My partner ordered the drink with tajin and the other margarita came out with salt. That was the first giveaway that this was about to be a bad experience. The table side guac was disappointing. I'd had it 4 years prior and was excited but it just didn't live up to how I remember it. He gave us the option for mild medium and spicy - we chose medium but it had no spice in it at all. We had to ask for more salt because it wasn't salty enough. The avocados were not ripe, and he didn't use any lime juice. And finally, towards the end of the meal I was chewing and part of the avocado peel was still in the guac. Quite an unpleasant surprise. The steak enchilada was okay. The steak was a little tough and I think the cheese on the enchilada was melted mozzarella - it was similar to pizza...as an enchilada... My partner thought the street tacos were okay but for the price point of $25, probably not worth the cost. All entrees come with beans and white rice - I needed to add salt to mine, but it was fine. The table seated behind us was very close to us and we could hear their entire conversation. The guy specifically said "I never eat the side of rice and beans here because it's not very good". The service was okay. Our waiter was very low energy and rather muted for an early Friday night. It's possible he had a long shift or a long day, so I'm willing to cut him some slack, but in the service industry, I think I'd appreciate a positive attitude. This dude clearly did not want to be on the clock. Finally, the restaurant didn't notify OpenTable that I arrived for my reservation so now I have to explain to OpenTable that I did actually attend and I wasn't a "no-show" for the reservation. Bit of a waste of my time. I came because I heard Westshore is closing and was hoping for a fun date night with my partner. I'm glad to know I'll never be going back and I probably shouldn't have tipped 20%.
