I am a longtime fan of lolis. I usually go to the original location on Benjamin Rd. This location is just as good! I absolutely love the grilled onions that came with my food. So authentic and so yummy. They also have a hot sauce bar and some bowls added to the menu. We ordered ahead online and our food was ready to go on time! This hot spot was in the parking lot next to my hotel, so I decided to pop in and give it a shot. I had read reviews and liked what I saw. I am SO glad that I came here. I ordered 3 Carne Asada Tacos, a small Chips and Guac, and Churros with Chocolate dipping sauce. They also come with vanilla ice cream. Within just a minute or two the food was brought to my table. The tacos were perfect! I enjoyed every bite, the meat was seasoned to perfection. The guac serving with the chips was very generous, I mixed in salsa from the salsa bar. To top everything off, I had the churros, they were still nice and hot. The ice cream was delicious, it tasted like vanilla bean, and was so smooth! The decor is very inviting and the location has plenty of seating, both inside and out. The outside seating is on the street side of the location. I entered through the parking lot side, as this was closest to my hotel, a short walk away. I really enjoyed the food here and the ambiance is very upbeat. All the staff were very friendly as well. SoCal-style Tacos in Tampa! I'm delighted that a place serving this style of taco has expanded to so many locations! They are a bit on the spendy side but the flavors are authentic and have resisted the temptation to over-gringo-ize. (they they do have some gringo-y stuff too, and have a great sense of humor about it) Just get one of everything, you can't go wrong. The housemade sauces are fantastic as well! read more

Stopped in here for lunch one day. They have a good variety on the menu. I chose to get a bowl with chips & queso. My portion was huge! My co-worker got a couple tacos and a quesadilla and her portions were much smaller, so a little discrepancy there depending on what you get. We loved the salsa bar! Hurricane Milton food chronicles. Loli's tacos came in clutch!! In the search for food we find this treasure open on west shore near The airport. It was nice to have some authentic tasty tacos in the city. The carne asas were classic! Onions with the cilantro just spot on ohh they give you some grilled onions uffff just the right touch. The Al pastor were bomb!!!! The fresh slice of pineapple on the flavorful pastor meat was Mexico in its self!! The birria were ok .. not my favorite but decent enough. The tamales were spectacular we had the chicken wow filled with meat and really tasty. Service was good and friendly. Had my order out prettt quick!! I could come here just to drink all the salsas at the bar. They were all so good yet different. Some spicy all delicious. We arrived about 40 minutes prior to closing on Saturday night, and unfortunately they were out of chicken, but the selections were great. I got the quesaBirria tacos and two Carne Asada tacos, which were so delicious and only tasted like we should've gotten more. Side order of chips and guacamole, and we were set for the night. What a delicious filling meal and just the right thing to have after a full day of playing tourist. Quite a nice and modern store with a nice layout in a shopping center. Best place for taco Tuesdays! This place is authentic and fresh. We always get el pastors and it meet our expectations. The sauce is unlimited for dine in and there's 5 ranging from mild to hot. The avocado has to be my favorite besides tomatillo. I recommend coming on Tuesdays as it is only $2 per taco. Well worth the price. After we order, the food came out within minutes but the shop didn't have that much customers around 6pm but people started coming afterwards. The shop is super spacious for large groups. I am a Lolis Super Fan (I believe I'm one of pioneers that brought Yelpers to the original location on Benjamin). I frequented the Hillsborough location once they built that one which was closer to my home in Westchase. However I wasn't impressed at all with the Gandy location, so I was VERY skeptical about this Westshore spot. I am super impressed with this newer Lolis location. The integrity of the food is definitely up to par with the original location! I love the modern look of this location and the hot sauce bar is a nice touch! My only critique...as a chili pepper connoisseur is that the hot sauce still tastes better at the Benjamin and Hillsborough locations. Not bad, but those locations have the smoke point right! As a traveling nomad I'm back in Tampa about every other month and I stay near Westshore a lot so I'm glad I can add this Lolis location to the restaurant rotation! read more

Had the El Pastor and Chicken bowls... both were delicious. The El Pastor was flavored extremely well and didn't need anything extra. The salsa bar had lots of choices, the ones I used on the chicken bowl were great, had plenty of flavor but not too much kick. I was really glad when Lolis started opening other stores around town. I haven't been to their original location in years, because it was very small, tables were never wiped down, it had random parking, and though the food was good, its location was awkward to get to. The new location, located in the same parking lot as The Container Store, is clean and bright, with plenty of parking. I've been here twice now though, and the experience both times has just been okay. Food takes an unusually long amount of time to be prepared, and there doesn't seem to be management around anywhere to supervise what's going on in the kitchen. I'm also surprised they haven't expanded their menu to include birria tacos, which has become my go-to Mexican order. The food, when it finally arrives, is good, with the sopes and the tamales being my favorites, even over their tacos. I love that they have a salsa bar, so make sure you ask for containers with lids so you can take a variety home with you. Next time I come, I'll definitely call in my order first. read more

I have known about Loli's for awhile but I truly discovered the restaurant last year. Recently, Loli's opened a new location in the Westshore District. I'm trying different food items here. I really like the ribeye tacos because it's seasoned very well. I really can't stay away from the Chile Rellano tamale, it's absolutely my favorite food item to get at Loli's. So that right there should tell you that if you have a taste for good Tamales then this is your place. What I love is there is a balance between the meat and the Masa. It is very painful for me to write this because I know how loved Lolis is but the taco bar is set pretty high for this foodie and I was extremely disappointed in not only the flavors but the price at this new location by International Plaza.
