I have a super quiet California Air Tools 20040SPCAD air compressor cabinet. So quiet you can stand next to it and whisper a conversation. We had a small but productive facility. In recent months it started to make noise. one of the motors was bad. my son and I fixed and it was super quiet again. But no air. I panicked. I'm failing behind on orders. Frank is EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE, and definitely has the experience to fix compressors like nobody else I've ever met!!!!!!!! THANK YOU for knowing what you're talking about and for fixing my compressor!!!!!!!! Here's my story: My compressor blew a hose the other day while I was in the middle of painting my fairings. It's a pretty specific hose with pretty hard to find fittings on both ends that goes from the head to the pressure release valve. I went to all the name brand stores I could think of (home depot, lowes, ace, etc.) and not a single person seemed to know what I was even talking about, let alone able to point me in the right direction to find something that would work to fix my problem. I almost gave up on fixing this thing, especially due to the fact that it's a very old compressor (from 1978), and parts for it are very difficult to find. I looked online for a new compressor, but the ones with good enough specs are more than I could afford right now, so I figured I'd give it one last shot to try and fix this thing. I found Barton Industrial on Google maps by chance, and figured it was close enough to me so I'll go by and see what happens. I showed up, and Frank greeted me. I told him my problem, and right away he knew exactly what I was talking about and what my problem was. He knew parts were gonna be difficult to come by and gave me a quick solution to try. I went home and tried it, it worked for a little bit, but then did the same exact thing as before. This time, I took the compressor with me to Barton Industrial, and Frank was able to actually see what the problem was. It took him less than a minute to identify the problem, abiut 5-10 minutes to fix it, and it was good to go again!! He was extremely professional both times that I went in, very knowledgeable, and fixed my air compressor VERY fast. In fact, I was still able to spray several coats of primer, color, and clear before the sun went down, and my compressor still works like a champ!! With the addition of a spray booth, a major issue occurred with SCE for my "over usage." SCE moved me into a higher tier which tripled my my electric bill. I was so blessed to have found Russ at Barton Ind. Russ checked all my equipment and determined it was my rotary screw drive compressor. It was the wrong compressor for our kind of business. He suggested getting to smaller compressors in which only one would run until demand rose to need the other. The result, my electric bill was reduced to what it was before adding the paint booth.
