Well, I submitted a request for contact related to termite tenting on their on line form and 2 days later they have not contacted me. They must not be interested in my business so I'll contact their competition. I rarely post to Yelp but in this case I am changing my review to 5 stars after the owner, Bill, contacted me, came to my home and gave me a thorough and knowledgeable estimate and apologized for the glitch in their web page which has now apparently been fixed. In the midst of having a slab leak in our downstairs living area, my husband and I thought we found termites to top it all off. Firstly, Bill's wife Patricia was very helpful in scheduling an immediate inspection after Labor Day weekend. Early morning, the day of the appointment, I had to make arrangements to be about 20 minutes later than my scheduled appointment and Bill graciously agreed to accommodate. Upon walking in during another appointment that I had for drywall installation, Bill waited patiently before allowing me to show him what I believed to be termite damage. His blatant honesty and quick assessment of, "That's not termite frass," were the most relieving words I could hear. All around our roof the wood was rotting in some places and just drying up in others. The crew treated for termites where needed. The wood that had too much dry rot, was cut out, and pieces were matched to fit. They also painted with primer to match our color so you can't even tell what's been replaced. I am sorry to be disappointed because the company was highly recommended for their work and repair work. The inspector was so nice and thorough that I had no qualms about hiring. But the work done is still questionable to me. It seems that the bill for the repair work done was ludicrously high -- and not well done at that. I could not tell what was treated and when looking at the map they sent me pre-treatment, I could not figure out where it was needed. I should have asked them before treating. I called to clarify what had been treated and they responded quickly by sending out the crew again to help me and make any additional repairs. The crew admitted they couldn't tell from the map what needed treatment either, and laughed. They did repaint an area and showed me where they had treated. They were very nice, but I didn't have a sense of trust in their workmanship -- they didn't seem confident in what they did and I didn't feel reassured. The expense of repair was very high and I had expected more repair work than replacing and repainting two boards,and straightening the metal around the roofline for 300$. I should have asked more detail about what exactly was costing this much before hiring. I blame myself for not asking more questions before hiring. I do have a two year guarantee. so will call upon them again for the next two years should I see more evidence of termites. I also do feel the phone staff or owners did respond appropriately to my reported concerns, and that is commendable. I am not confident, however, in the work that was completed, based on the responses directly from the worker who came to do the work. I hope I am just being overly critical and that the work was actually done well and that all will be well....I appreciated the company's wish to make it a good transaction. read more

After some problems and a slow start Baseline responded to my Yelp review with two phone calls, apologies, and showed uo on time today ready to work in spite of Bill not really recovered from being sick. They show every sign of wanting to make things right after a bad start. It seems like the way they are handling the rat problem is more careful and more permanent that what we have had in the past with other companies. I called Baseline for a quote for wood rot repair from prior termite damage and Pat assisted me with the call. It seemed like a normal call at first with questions I would expect. But then she asked me if they were the first company that I called for a repair because they'd rather be the last. I thought that was an odd question. The appointment was scheduled for Friday, June 27, 2014. Pat called me on Thursday, June 26th to cancel due to Bill being ill. Since I was going out of town I advised her that Monday or Tuesday of the following week would be the only days I was available. We finally agreed that she would call me on Tuesday to schedule a visit for that day but she didn't have an exact time until that day. I advised her I was flexible with the time, but I never received a call whatsoever. I was bending over backwards to accommodate their schedule when they should have been accommodating me. I was ready to do the work right away because I'm painting my house. But they totally blew me off. If a company does not have good customer service, their work does not mean anything. This is a totally unprofessional company that will only come out and give you a quote if they think you're a sure thing. Companies don't work this way.
