I've been craving Thai food, and since I was meeting up with a couple friends we found this around the halfway point between us. We arrived around 5:30 on a Saturday and it was already packed, so I do recommend making a reservation. They do required credit card info to make a reservation though. Since we didn't have a reservation, we ended up waiting probably 20 minutes for our table. Once we were seated they took our drink orders and gave us some time to look at the menu. I ordered the Pad See Ew with Chicken ($16) and we also ordered the Papaya Salad ($14) to share. We were in the middle of a massive heat wave, so the papaya salad was very refreshing. We did order it to be medium spicy, but there was barely any spice at all. We ended up adding some chili powder to it and that easily solved the problem. The pad see ew was good as well, and there was a good balance of everything in the dish. It's flavorful and if you add chili powder to it too you also get a bit of a kick. It can get a bit loud in there so it's not a great place to have a nice conversation and catch up. They do try to keep people going in and out as quickly as possible. Service was quick to bring whatever you request out to you, and our waters were constantly getting refilled. Pretty solid place to get Thai food. I'd come back here again. read more

I've had this restaurant bookmarked for a little while now and then finally convinced my sister to get Thai food with me and let's try something different than our typical places that have burgers or whatever. My sister has celiac disease and has to eat gluten free, and I read a previous review that this place was good for those who need gluten free options so we decided to check it out. Upon arriving it was really busy but we were seated quickly. We confirmed with our waiter on gluten free options & ingredients and the Pad Thai, Chicken Satay & Pineapple fried rice was made with gluten free ingredients, so those have become our go to dishes now and to say we're obsessed is an understatement! Been getting takeout here for lunch with the office for a couple times now and they never disappoint! I got the panang curry, green curry, and also the duck curry. This is the best Thai food I have ever eaten. The beef pad Thai is heavenly. It is perfect. Their beef house fried rice is also the best I've ever had. There have been some weeks where I have had food from here more than three times. But their beef pad Thai has been consistently perfect. Medium spice is the perfect level. The price is on the higher end of the average spectrum but well worth it and good portion. At a random mini shopping area, you'll find this unique establishment that serves delicious Thai food. Upon walking in, you'll be transported to a modern decor interior that is well kept. Love that they put out the effort to provide a clean and beautiful environment to dine. Won me already. The delicious dishes, ranging from various noodles to rice dishes topped it off. It's been a little difficult to find a good Thai place since most of the good ones are in Thaitown near downtown, but Basil and Co is so good that I don't need to drive all the way out there. I've been to Basil and Co a couple times now and have loved the food options, the service, and the ambience. Here are the dishes that I recommend you order: * Red duck curry ($18, 5 out of 5 stars): this is my favorite dish at Basil and Co. It's many other peoples' favorite as well. The duck is cooked so well, and the red curry sauce it's served with is delicious over white rice. * Drunken noodles with pork ($16, 5 out of 5 stars): another fan favorite at this restaurant. Get it with pork. * Pineapple fried rice ($18, 4.5 out of 5 stars): if you are a fan of fried rice, this one is really good. It's a nice complementary dish to any other meat, curry, or veggie dishes. * Eggplant basil with tofu ($17, 4 out of 5 stars): always get a stir fry dish with basil. It complements curry dishes and noodle dishes well. * Pork jerky ($16, 4.5 out of 5 stars): the sauce served with these smaller bites of pork jerky make it so worth it. * Chicken satay ($16, 4 out of 5 stars): it's served without the sticks through the meat, which is unique. It's a nice-sized portion for sharing and the peanut sauce with it is fantastic. * Beef salad ($17, 4.5 out of 5 stars): this one was surprisingly good! We loved the acidity of it too! There were a total of 4 of us in our party the last time we went, and we were definitely very full after ordering these 7 dishes. From the second I walked in it was LOUD. It was lunchtime on a weekday and it was crowded and everyone was talking loud. The dining area is a good size and seats 60-70 with 3 large tables that seats 10 in the center. There were 5 servers who were quick to seats you. Food took a good 15 minutes to get and it was okay. Nothing special about their pad thai. Asked for Thai coffee and got an iced tea which I sent back. The iced coffee was so strong and tasted like a straight up iced expresso. Asked for additional cream but the coffee flavor was overpowering. Sorry Basil, I won't be returning. I prefer Thai Twist or Thai Corner food. read more

Things felt nice and bright even though the sky was gloomy outside. Food: Yummy! My mom loved the soft shell crab with the garlic pepper sauce. It smelled very fragrant and had tons of garlic flavor according to my mom. Pad Thai - Lovely balance of sweet and tangy! Pad Thai is usually sweet but sometimes it's too sweet. I think this one was just enough. The squeeze of lime over the noodles made it amazing! I got it with crispy tofu but you also have option of soft tofu as well. Same for any other dish! Yellow Pumpkin Curry - I got the soft tofu here. The spice level goes from 1-5 and we got a 3. I felt like it wasn't spicy enough and I could've easily gone to a 5 but everyone's tolerance is different. Flavors were still good and the pumpkin was great. Crispy Tofu - Super hot and super crisp! You can almost never go wrong with a nice crispy tofu app. We love the sauce they paired with it. Overall, I'm glad I came here again. I visited once before during the pandemic when restaurants were still not allowing people to sit down. I thoroughly enjoyed it then but didn't have the time to come back until now. Coming into the restaurant, I loved how bright, open, and spacious it was. It felt very inviting and I loved the ample seating. My husband and I shared the Thai tea, which was pretty standard. I got the drunken noodles, which was pretty good, although I should have asked for medium spicy since it needed more of a kick, haha. My husband got the panang curry, which came with a very generous portion of curry and also came with rice included (which is great!) Initially I was a little skeptical of the prices and felt they were a little high, but after seeing the large portions, I do believe it's priced well/appropriately. We finished off our meal with mango sticky rice, and the presentation in the leaf bowl is super cute and aesthetic! The mangos were perfectly sweet and ripe. The coconut cream however, was overly sweet and drenched our sticky rice, which I didn't like very much. Overall, the food was pretty solid, but I do have to admit I have had better Thai food elsewhere, haha. However, ambiance-wise, I do think this place is prettier and more inviting than many Thai places I have been to, so I do have to give them credit for that! Had this place bookmarked for a while but finally had a chance to dine there with a few friends on Sunday night. The lot is shared with a Japanese teppan restaurant so it can get packed. Got there around 6 pm and did not expect a wait so didn't make a reservation ahead of time. When it was close to our turn, we wanted to wait inside the restaurant because it was cold outside, but was told we had to wait outside until we were called. When we got seated we decided to order a few dishes and share family style .. which was a smart decision so we could try more dishes. Ordered papaya salad, free curry chicken, larb, mango trout, crab fried rice, spicy eggplant and mango sticky rice. Didn't have to wait long and the dishes came out quickly. Everything tasted great! 5 of us had trouble finishing all the dishes so we had some leftovers. The mango sticky rice was also delicious as the mango was sweet. The only thing was the larb had a bit too much onions in there so we had to pick them out. Also the mango trout had small bones so need to be careful when eating it. I'm so glad this place is close by so next time I want to eat Thai food I can just come here. read more

Right off the bat, the service was super friendly and the interior was very nice.
