Ordered thru DoorDash and I just wanted a simple dinner, so I got the pineapple fried rice and musaman beef. The pineapple fried rice was very good but the musaman beef was just okay. The flavor was very good but the beef itself was tough and chewy and the potatoes were way undercooked and crunchy. The interior of the restaurant was cute. But I was just there to pickup and go home. The guy that gave me my food wouldn't hand it over until he made sure that I was who I said I was, which meant that I had to open up my DoorDash app and prove that I placed the order. Honestly hate when restaurants do this because I already told you what my name was and that I ordered thru DoorDash. I'm not some food criminal. Definitely a popular Thai food spot and rightfully so. It can get crowded during dinner hours and weekends and it did take a while to get some food items out so not the place if you're looking for a quick meal but if you have the time, then it is definitely worth it. The wonton soup with shrimp and chicken was honestly the best I've ever had. The chicken satay was a solid 10/10!!!! juicy, tender, and perfectly cooked. Even the white rice impressed me (and I'm super picky with rice), it was made perfectly. And the egg rolls? So delicious. I'm not exaggerating when I say everything was amazing. This place isn't cheap, but it always delivers on flavor and authenticity with great quality ingredients. It's one of our favorite local Thai spots and we've tried several of their dishes by now. Our absolute favorite is the seafood crab noodle. The noodle is stir fried to the perfect qq texture and includes a lot of real crab pieces. So unctuous and indulgent, and everything that I want! This place is good! If you want Thai food, I like how they make their food here. All the food that is cooked with the wok has the "wok hay" (Cantonese word). You can taste that it was freshly prepared with a talented chef. First time I came I had pad krapow, and the second time pad kee mow. Both were great and keep note that they do have lunch specials. We ordered: #50 Pad kee mow w pork (medium spice) #15 Papaya salad (medium spice) #81 Fire Andaman curry Roti with condensed milk Mango sticky rice For the entrees the andaman curry was my favorite followed by the papaya salad, then the pad kee mow (the noodle texture was a bit firmer and different than I'm used to, personally I'd skip this if I came back). Pad Thai with chicken and Thai Iced Tea with no ice. I got two drinks... one for me and one for my Mom. Lady staff behind the counter was friendly and nice. From the counter, I could pretty much see the whole kitchen. Restrooms are near the front entrance. There is an outside patio space, but I don't think it's being used at this time. When they get busier, maybe they may turn that space into outdoor patio dining... who knows. Wait time for food wasn't too long. Thai Iced Tea was delicious... very authentic flavor.... not overly sweet... just perfect! If you're wondering, they don't have boba. I like it that way. Pad Thai was tasty, but it could use a bit more tamarind flavor. Adequate amount of white chicken meat. I loved the tofu bits... nice touch! I wished there were more peanuts though. Portion was good. I am familiar w/ the staff at Silver Spoons owing to my part time work as the best Uber Driver/Shopper in the county...so it was a welcome pleasure to actually pick up my very own order, this time. The staff at Silver Spoons is, indeed a word, awesome. Warm hearted, welcoming, friendly and -oh yeah- they can cook Thai food like Chef Gordon Ramsey can cook you a porterhouse steak! The Silver Spooners kept much of the decor that their Brown Rice predecessors employed- Meaning you'll find warm grays commingled with medium browns specked with tchotchkes that evoke their native Thailand. We placed our order to go on Mother's Day to avoid the crowd and it was a good idea because it was packed. There was even a line near the counter because many people also had the same idea as us. They were accurate with our wait time but not the order. They forgot to include the BBQ beef short ribs in our bag, so I was glad we checked right outside so that we could go back in to get it. We also realized when we got home that they didn't give us rice with our curry. I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt because it was Mother's Day and I understand it was hectic. This no fluke, the noodle soup was delicious. A hearty, rich, warm, garlicky, herby broth paired with huge pork meatballs and lean slices of beef. This is a pairing made in heaven. The broth is thick with beef blood, and wonderfully balanced with onions, cilantro, thai basil, and chinese broccoli. All the flavors sing so beautifully together, and you can make the bowl as spicy as you want! The restaurant is quite spacious with a cabin-y type feel. It was a full house when I stopped by, and everyone looked like they were having a good time. Service is great, I received my order promptly and they actually read my request for extra hot sauce.
