Ordered from here for dinner last night and was a little disappointed. Firstly, it took a very long time. Uber eats projected it to arrive between 7:35 and 7:55 and it didn't arrive until 8:15. Not ideal but not the biggest deal in the world. We ordered a margherita pizza. The crust was soggy, literally zero crispness whatsoever. Even with folding it, you had to hold up the bottom with your hand because there was just no strength or integrity of that thing. No one wants to eat soggy crust pizza. Secondly, we ordered two pastas. I ordered primavera with a side of cheese that cost extra. No cheese was provided. Thirdly, and probably the most problematic: GF ordered the kids penne vodka. I do appreciate that they allow you to remove things from the dish so I removed pancetta (I am vegetarian). It didn't come with pancetta but super randomly came with shrimp in it? What on earth? Certainly never asked for shrimp, didn't see that on the menu, don't know what planet shrimp automatically comes with penne vodka without requesting it. If I had ordered this I would have been completely out of luck for my meal. Fortunately GF is ok with shrimp although not her favorite. Very strange addition. Will probably order elsewhere in the future. read more

My husband and I have ordered from this eatery a bunch of times. The staff is always pleasant and accommodating and the food is consistently delicious. We normally order pizza. The ambiance is casual with several places to sit. You can watch tv as you wait for your order to be prepared. read more

Best pizza in Mount Kisco. Good variety of pizza choices. Staff is always very helpful and friendly. I recommend their barbecue chicken and Sicilian pizza, along with their rolls. Don't like the buffalo chicken because of all the blue cheese they put on it. They also have great soups - pasta fagioli is amazing! Overall great food, service and prices. The pizza was amazing, crust cooked to perfection and a great team making it all happen. We had a few slices of the Chicken Bacon Ranch, a meat pie, and the pepperoni and cheese rolls. A co-worker had a death in the family, so we had a collection to send food to help out a bit. I ordered trays on line, but was unsure if it included bread. I called, and he said it came with bread, he'd throw in a bit more, would look out for the order, very nice! They went to deliver, but co-worker was not at home. Called me to discuss options, told them to go back to restaurant. Once we figured it out, they were kind enough to make a second delivery. I heard the food was wonderful and eased a bit of burden. By far this is the best pizza place in westchester! The pizza here is sooo good! A great place to eat from they have very good food and it is always served warm, some of my favorites include the "fox lane wrap", their bbq wings and their Cesar salad pizza is to die for. The best pizza and Italian food close by Northern Westchester Hospital. And I have tried the other two. As an added plus, they deliver to the hospital room (if you aren't a patient). After spending a considerable amount of time at the hospital visiting my father, my conclusion was well researched and advocated my non vegetarian sibling. We got a clam pizza (yeah, strange) and an eggplant rotini one night and entries of penne vodka, sautéed broccoli rabe, and an Italian tuna salad on another night. The pizza was awesome. It was a nice thin crust with good chewyness to it. As a fan of eggplant, I also enjoyed the eggplant rotini. And the entrees passed the test too. I recommend. The first time I went, the pizza was good. - no sweet sauce, real cheese, thin crunchy crusty. More recently, I was given their version of a grandma pizza. It was cold, the sauce was watery, and the man was curt. I asked for a regular slice and they didn't even try to warm it up. It was actually refrigerator cold. Maybe I got them on a bad day. I just got back from this Pizzeria, and I gave it 3 stars cause the food was ok, the service wasn't to bad, I only had to wait about 8 minutes before being waited on, and another 10 to 15 minutes for the food. I guess for Mt. Kisco, this place is ok! The pizza was alright, but alittle to much salt, nothing special. Guess I'm just use to pizza from the Bronx or Brooklyn, but the garlic knots were really good with tons of garlic and olive oil on them. I also order a salad that was good but nothing to write home about. Tons of people behind the counter, that were just standing around. Guess I'm just use to Bronx pizza but there is one place in Putnam Valley, called Westbrook Pizzeria that I go to and the pizza is really banging with great taste, great flavor and even the crust is tasty! It has the right consistency of the right dough, right tomato sauce and the right quality of cheese, and its not over salted nor bland like some Pizzeria's. It all boils down to having the right ingredients and a pizza guy who knows how to make real old school Italian Pizza! I like sharing but its hard to find the right person to share a good slice of pizza with these days who can hold a good conversation! read more

Basilico is absolutely one of the best Italian take out restaurants around. They have the most delicious chicken francese and penne vodka. I have been to many restaurants and have yet to taste a better francese sauce then the way they make it. They also have great customer service and super friendly! The pizza at Basilico is pretty darned good pizza. -Size and value: The pizzas are gigantic and are loaded with toppings. The crust is super yummy. Eggplant could be better--sometimes it's undercooked/chewy. But the prices cannot be beat. And there's always coupons in the Clipper mailings. -Telephone/counter service: The staff is friendly and on it. There's a guy who should be doing voice overs. We ate in once and the service could've been slightly better (had to ask for utensils twice) but whatever. Never had to wait for pizza--they say it's ready in 20, it's ready. Sono così triste! We have been a regular for years, to the point that my wife was recognized on the phone when she called with her custom gourmet pizza orders to pick up. It was great, good-value pizza. Today, it is clear that something radical has changed; we guess it to be the ownership. It also seems apparent that the new owner, if indeed that is the case, has decided that profitability can be increased by dropping the quality, value and choice. (Doesn't work if your former regulars vote with their feet!) Staff has changed. The crust is good, but different. The box is different. The toppings on our 5-ingredient gourmet pizza were extremely skimpy. Less cheese, sauce was dry compared to formerly, but c'mon! A few outer leaves of artichoke scattered around. The "caramelized onion" was scattered minced raw onion. The chicken cutlet was mostly bread, with a small clump on one piece and maybe one tiny piece on a few of the other eight slices. The individual who took our call said we could have it as part of our custom gourmet pizza "just this one time." Huh? The three of us discussed whether we should give it another chance. The pizza was okay, for a basic single-topping cheese pizza. However, given the multitude of clues and other choices, we have decided to try the other places around town. We are so sad! Really enjoyed this meal. Had the grilled chicken with broccoli rabe roasted tomatoes and provolone although the cheese was hard to find. Service was prompt and polite. Had so many interesting items on menu. I've had the pizza, fried mozzarella, garlic knots and calzone and all were great. Parking is very easy. Not a fancy place more a lunch venue than dinner . Basilico seems to be the spot to get dinner/take out on a Sunday night. With few other reasonably-priced alternatives open, this is definitely the best option. We ordered take out and used the online ordering system. the system was intuitive and fast. The confirmation message said it would be about 25 minutes. When I showed up after 22, they said they needed another 10 minutes. I waited a full 35 minutes before my food was ready, but they apologized profusely and gave me an extra dish (eggplant parmesan which isn't my favorite, but I didn't want to be rude). I ordered the tricolor salad which was large and fresh. My husband ordered the zucchini sticks which were just the right consistency - crispy, not mushy - even after driving them home. I don't remember what else he ordered. But i got the cappelini with shrimp, tomatoes and capers. it was yummy in a comfort-food kind of way. Simple and satisfying. and the order was HUGE. My only complaint is that it came with about a pound of pasta. the pasta-to-ingredients ratio was way off kilter. I made two meals out of the dish, but still threw away half of the pasta they gave it to me with. It's not fancy or unique. It's just really good for a pizza & pasta place. Since moving to the area, Basilico Pizza is my go to. I order delivery several times a month and recently ordered a big order for my son's birthday. Food is amazing!
