Much better in person than our last delivery experience. I came here on a very hot day in mid May with my parents and GF. They have a fair amount of things my very picky mother was interested in which earned them our patronage on this particular evening. They had indoor and outdoor seating with an upstairs and a downstairs. We were seated downstairs. Service was great. Didn't have to wait long for anything. They have a vegetarian section of the menu which I appreciated. I was intrigued by the spaghetti squash and almost went with that but it's hard for me to go to an Italian restaurant and not order pasta so I ultimately went with the reginette ortolana, got some giggles from the crowd with my attempt at pronunciation of that dish. I also ordered the brussels sprouts side. They have multiple cocktails I was interested in but being the basic bitch that I am, I ultimately went with the spicy italian margarita. I order the "spicy margarita" frequently and it usually isn't very spicy but this one was the exception. It definitely earned the title. Nothing crazy, but certainly something you would notice and it was very enjoyable. The pasta was very good. I was bummed out to see the mushrooms in there because that was not mentioned on the menu but fortunately I had a few mushroom vacuums sitting at the table. The veggies were plentiful, the sauce was very good. I am looking forward to leftovers for lunch today. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meal. They also provide bread with hummus to start and the fucking table bread is a lost art, as I always say, so extra points for that. For dessert, they had a PB&J cocktail with pb whiskey and chambord and this was literally orgasmic. What a good idea. I would definitely come back to try some other stuff. read more

This place really exceeded our expectations in every way. My sister and I stopped in on a chilly, overcast afternoon after dropping our mom off at Westchester Airport. Stone Fire was conveniently on the way home and we decided to give it a try. Appropriately, we walked in and the definition of "Hangry" was framed on the wall. We laughed and were greeted by who we presume is the owner. He said he would fix our "hanger" in no time and lead us to our table. The place wasn't very full, since we were there between the dinner and lunch rushes. The owner was incredibly attentive but didn't hover. We got the sense that he was proud of his menu and he explained some of the stand out items. He noted that all the pasta was made in house and that the "panuozzo" (which we intend to try next time) was made with their pizza dough. We both ordered the Shrimp Bisque to start. It was delicious and piping hot with a good amount of actual pieces of shrimp. I turned to ask for some black pepper, and realized the owner already had a large pepper mill in his hand, as if he had read our minds. Our server also brought out warm bread. Naturally, my sister ordered the Maccheroni Ala Vodka since the owner had mentioned the fresh pasta. It was cooked to a perfect al dente and was generously portioned. I decided to get their "Amalfi" stone fire pizza which included fior di latte cheese, prosciutto, summer squash, and delightful little piped dollops of lemon ricotta. The flavors were bright and delicous. The pizza dough itself was crispy, chewy, and lightly charred from the pizza oven. I would absolutely order it again if I wasn't eager to try so many other items on the menu. My sister and I both had enough leftover from our main meals to take them home for dinner. The atmosphere was clean, cozy, and contemporary. Nicer than your typical pizza place. They have a sizeable patio and what looked like windows that open up like panels in the inside dining area, I guess when the weather permits it. We both agreed it would be nice to come back on a warmer day. All in all, we have absolutely no complaints about our meal. For two large bowls of shrimp bisque, the pasta dish, and my pizza (a little larger than a personal pan pizza size), and two sparkling waters, our lunch was around $100. Super reasonable in my opinion. Given the excellent food and superb service from both the owner and our waiter. We absolutely plan to come back when we are in the area. I came here with my family to spend time with the grandparents. The only negative things that I would have to say about my dining experience is how cold the restaurant was and that the margarita pizza was undercooked. The cheese and the sauce slid off the pizza when I picked up a slice. However, they were able to turn the heat up a little but we were still pretty chilly. I split the margarita pizza with my dad and the fish tacos. I also enjoyed the shishito peppers. Our waiter was really good and professional. Our drinks came quickly as well as our food. Our waiter helped me pick apples outside of the restaurant from the trees that were growing outside. I really enjoyed our dining experience and I know that I can speak for the rest of my family when I say that they did too. I know that if given the chance, I would be more than happy to come back to enjoy another dining experience at Stone Fire Italian. read more

Came here with three friends on a nice Friday evening and sat on the patio -- super cute even though it's right on a main road, but you couldn't really tell with the greenery and umbrellas. The staff were amazing from the start. The hostess was the sweetest, and our waiter was super friendly. They brought out bread with this whipped olive oil/butter spread (I think?) that was really good. I got the chicken Milanese and asked for grilled chicken instead of pan-fried/breaded -- they made it happen and it was so good. My friends had the chicken parm, deconstructed lasagna, and brick chicken, and everyone loved their food. We split the sundae and bomboloni for dessert -- the sundae was huge and super fun to share. I had a great brunch here! We started with the tangy deep fried cauliflower which was delicious! I ordered the chicken and waffles and my friend got some type of bacon egg sandwich. My pasta dish, White, Bolognese was absolutely superb. The best I've had at any Italian restaurant. If you have not yet had dinner at Stone Fire Italian you should definitely check it out. The best part is their prices are affordable and their portions are quite large. I will definitely make this my go to Italian restaurant. I ate downstairs by the bar, but I do know that there is an upstairs dining area and I'm not aware of the ambience on that level. We've been coming here for years, so this review is long over due. This place is great because my husband and I can have a great dinner, while my picky daughter can have pizza... without feeling like I'm in a pizzeria. The place is beautiful, clean and the staff are great. You can have a drink and apps at the bar while catching the latest sports games (multiple TVs), sit upstairs for a romantic dinner, or out on the patio with the family. Drinks are fresh with specials changing seasonally. Can't say enough good things about this place. It's an old house that was converted into a quaint little restaurant, downstairs has a nice bar area with seating and upstairs is a more private intimate dining area. My new favorite Italian Restaurant. "Let's go somewhere different ". I hadn't been to Stone Fire in a long while so that was my suggestion. We were celebrating a birthday and a reservation for 3 was booked on a Wednesday evening. The restaurant is 2 floors, the bar being on the entry level. A nice room with a lot of windows and tables along the perimeter. Several specials enhanced the menu which is extensive. Instead of ordering an appetizer we decided to split an order of Carbonara. The bucatini was al denti, the sauce was made as in Rome, no silly peas, onion, or cream. I don't remember eating one better. I would give this dish 10 stars if I could. The Pork Chop Scarpariello was delicious. Cedar roasted Norwegian salmon with quinoa and crispy brusssel sprout salad was perfectly done as requested. For dessert we had an order of zeppole that were light with a lemon flavor. The staff couldn't have been more attentive. The food was amazing. As we walked to the car we agreed that a return visit very soon was required. read more

We've been living in the area for years, but only recently (thankfully) discovered this place! The ambiance is really great and sophisticated, we don't often get that in restaurants in Westchester. Hands down, we loved the truffle Mac and cheese and the Szechuan cauliflower! As vegetarians, we tried basically all their veggie options. The Spaghetti Squash Pomodoro was just OK, I don't understand why they couldn't just use regular pasta. The Beyond Bolognese was disappointing, it was watery and had almost no taste. As the parking is ample and the space comfortably laid out on two floors, it seems like it should be a winner. Stone Fire just reminds me of a half-dozen other dining spots in Westchester - pastas, pizzas, a daily "special" or two, and a crappy wine list. Another review, so much to say! I ordered take out many times throughout the pandemic, some favorites are the pizzas: Zucca, Caprino, Arugula & Prosciutto, and my favorite the Napolitano. My "go to" dish is the spaghetti squash pomodoro! Light, healthy, delicious and lasts me for three servings! I was back on the outdoor patio, spaced for social distancing, the first day they re-opened outdoor seating. I came with a friend and we were so impressed with the personal attention we received from the wait staff, the manager, Justin and the owner Gianni. We felt safe and so happy to be back to some feeling of normalcy. I arranged to bring nine teacher friends to the patio where they set up two tables for us to share. We had every appetizer on the menu and delicious drinks as we celebrated the end of remote learning. A few even brought take out home to their families. The deconstructed lasagna was a huge hit! Jaleel was our server, super sweet and attentive! I also ordered a Family Feast to celebrate Father's Day. We had Chicken Francese, a pasta, a salad and a bottle of wine, along with the New Yorker Pizza and the Caprino Pizza. It fed seven, and we had left overs, too! I have been back three more times in the past few weeks. I tried a new dish: Raditore Tuscana, which was incredible! Even the bread they serve is unique, fresh, and yummy! Attention to detail is so great at Stone Fire, they bring a water bottle to each table, and refill it so it is never empty. Shout out to Jordan, Lisa, Stephanie, Lillian, Brenda, Teak, and all the bar/serving/kitchen staff! Love your food Chef Tommy! Had a very pleasant first visit at Stone Fire this afternoon. I would definitely come back to this restaurant based off of the service alone - the food came out fast and the waitstaff were incredibly attentive and efficient. The food itself was pretty good for the price point (worth it given the neighborhood, ambiance of the restaurant and quality of the food) but I was a bit disappointed by the chicken meatballs, I felt they could've had more flavor and I found the red sauce to be on the thinner, watery side. The rest of the food, however, was great. The burrata was delicious. My girlfriends ordered the rustico pizza and fungi pizza, while I didn't try it looked good and they were happy with their food. I loved the Calabrian shrimp scampi, the spice was not overpowering and the black linguini was delicious. All of their pasta is homemade and you can tell! I, personally, am not a fan of overbearing wait staff and here the staff was polite. Slight tick down for the check being brought the moment we were done eating despite the restaurant not being busy at all. However, after we paid there was no pressure to leave. Well lit and clean.
