Special - chicken wrapped around mozzarella, prosciutto, and asparagus in a white wine sauce with broccoli on the side..Amazing.
Lindsay T.

We ordered the eggplant tower special as an appetizer which was stacked eggplant with mozzarella in between. The eggplant was cooked perfectly- not soggy or raw. The tomato sauce was just average. For my entree I ordered their special which was chicken that wrapped prosciutto, mozzarella, and asparagus inside over a white wine sauce with broccoli on the side - amazing. For desert I ordered the Tartuffo which was also great but there was just a little too much whipped cream. The service was a little slow but we were in no rush. Our main courses took a while to come as well as the check. Secondly, the bus boy was not aware that I was cutting up food to share and place on a small plate that I had just put next to mine. As I was about to place some food on a small plate to my right, it was quickly taken right out under my hand (literally) when I turned to the plate on my left, he quickly took that one out from under me as well. We laughed about it but it shows lack of awareness on his part. Lastly, a woman who seemed to be a manager, was a little harsh with the staff. Although it seemed minor, I think any issues with staff should be taken care of in a more discrete area and not near tables where costumers are being served. We received complimentary biscotti and were offered lemon cello with our check which was nice. Since it's a new restaurant I understand service can be a little off. I would return and try again being that the food was so good.

Polpettine Di pesce!

I have to say it's about time a new restaurant opened in this area! Got tired of the same American Italian food, or should I say Penne alla Vodka etc! I decided to wait and go a few times before writing a review and I have to say that it was worth it. The food is excellent, the calamari with cherry peppers are great, and the seafood meatballs are one of a kind. For my main course I had the veal with eggplant and prosciutto and it has become my favorite so far! The wine list is excellent not just your typical reds and whites, they also have some Spanish wines, and yes it's an Italian restaurant but I tried the Spanish wines and they where excellent! Give Sette E Venti a try, you will love it! While there say hi to the owner, Maurizio who is also the owner to the pizzeria next door, Gianfrancos , which has the best slice around!!

Everything is really good but the baked ziti pie is my favorite! My husband loves the grandma slice.

The food was outstanding but the waiter was never around to help out. Their house beer is really good and I highly recommend it

You cannot order an entree with two sides included for "x" amount of money. This is not the norm and not very customer friendly. Here's the good and the bad. We'll do good first..............I loved their cornbread. Lots of BBQ joints do not know how to make good cornbread and even seem to consider it an after thought. Big Mistake. I liked the Mac and cheese. M & C is very personal. If you ask 10 people how it should be made you may get 10 different opinions. I like mine a little creamier but this was good, nice and thick and tasted great. The only way you can get burnt ends is to get them in a beans and burnt ends dish. The beans were good but the burnt ends they put in the dish were tough and dry. After chewing and chewing some of the pieces I spit them out. I love collard greens. Collard greens are one of the reasons I go to BBQ joints. Here it comes......they cook the greens with something (hot sauce maybe?) to make them burn your mouth hot and spicy. Why would you ruin collard greens by making them so hot that you don't even taste the greens? They went into the trash. I hate hot and spicy. I've never been to a restaurant that did that. Really annoying. This place is not cheap, so don't expect "typical" BBQ restaurant prices. But it's in an upscale Westchester neighborhood so I suppose they charge what people are willing to pay. More power to them. Keeping a restaurant running is expensive and exhausting. I might return sometime and try their chicken. I'll have some more cornbread and M & C and try another side dish. I'll skip the collard greens. My order came quickly and the man taking my order was friendly and nice.

Cleanliness. It's a nice space, and clean. I used the restroom as well. Certainly looks like they take the time out to keep the place presentable which is not something all restaurants do so it should be noted when you see it. Minuses: Noise: The architecture of the space with its high ceilings is such that it's very loud. This is not the kind of place you go for a quiet meal. It wasn't that every table was occupied when I was there but the noise level was quite high. Honestly, it depends on your preference. It's not a matter of it being bad so much as warning you in advance. Prices: The food was okay. I had an omelet. It was adequate, nothing more. The thing of it was that it was a $20 dollar omelet. In that case I expect them to bring out the hen and show me its pedigree. The food was good, not great, not bad, simply good. I can't really say anything other than that. Given that it's Katonah it may be that it caters to a clientele that doesn't have a problem with that but again, it's not a bargain. Overall, I enjoyed the meal enough but I likely wouldn't go back simple based around the price point.

My daughter was driving up to CT from NYC and wanted to meet In Katonah for dinner. Our server, Allison, was the best and the food satisfied everyone's choices. To cap off the experience, and when the crowd thinned out, the music streaming was a stellar selection of great oldies music from the 50's - 70's. My only "ding" in my review is the noise level when we arrived, sitting at a table near the front of the restaurant. The brick wall, and glass windows were not acoustic friendly. However, I heard later that one half of the restaurant was much quieter.

The chicken Caprese sandwich was so flavorful and we asked for the fries well done and they had that perfect outer crunch to potato inside. My son enjoyed the spaghetti and meatball meal and my other son loved his mozzarella sticks and well done fries. The only slight disappointment was that the simple tavern burger was so good and the service/wait for food was so long. It didn't help that we were driving through and stopped for lunch on a 12 hour planned drive. We didn't have that much time to waste. If we ever happened to be driving by again, I would return to this restaurant.
