I came here with my parents after a round of golf. The place seemed to have undergone a renovation where a nearby pizzeria merged with the restaurant. In addition, our server indicated that the menu was recently updated. The place is small and cozy. They sort of section off the pizzeria from the main restaurant, but not really? For my entree, i had the Chicken Sette E Venti. It was okay. It wasn't great but not bad. My parents really loved their dishes. I forget what they ordered though. We ordered the eggplant tower special as an appetizer which was stacked eggplant with mozzarella in between. The eggplant was cooked perfectly- not soggy or raw. The tomato sauce was just average. For my entree I ordered their special which was chicken that wrapped prosciutto, mozzarella, and asparagus inside over a white wine sauce with broccoli on the side - amazing. For desert I ordered the Tartuffo which was also great but there was just a little too much whipped cream. The service was a little slow but we were in no rush. Our main courses took a while to come as well as the check. Secondly, the bus boy was not aware that I was cutting up food to share and place on a small plate that I had just put next to mine. As I was about to place some food on a small plate to my right, it was quickly taken right out under my hand (literally) when I turned to the plate on my left, he quickly took that one out from under me as well. We laughed about it but it shows lack of awareness on his part. Lastly, a woman who seemed to be a manager, was a little harsh with the staff. Although it seemed minor, I think any issues with staff should be taken care of in a more discrete area and not near tables where costumers are being served. We received complimentary biscotti and were offered lemon cello with our check which was nice. Since it's a new restaurant I understand service can be a little off. I have to say it's about time a new restaurant opened in this area! Got tired of the same American Italian food, or should I say Penne alla Vodka etc! I decided to wait and go a few times before writing a review and I have to say that it was worth it. The food is excellent, the calamari with cherry peppers are great, and the seafood meatballs are one of a kind. For my main course I had the veal with eggplant and prosciutto and it has become my favorite so far! The wine list is excellent not just your typical reds and whites, they also have some Spanish wines, and yes it's an Italian restaurant but I tried the Spanish wines and they where excellent! This place decent food but the nasty guy behind the pizza counter ruins it for me. My wife and I went there one night about a year ago. We order pizza at the counter and a chicken and broccoli roll. I ask the guy behind the counter if it had mushrooms in it. Instead of a simple yes or no, in a nasty tone recites all the ingredients. So just to be certain I said No mushrooms, and once again in the same nasty tone he recites the ingredients. We walked out. A years goes by and we gave the place another chance. Same nasty guy behind the counter and once again I asked if the broccoli and chicken roll had mushrooms. To my consternation he gives me the same exact recital of the ingredients. This time I wasn't having it. I said I didn't ask you for the ingredients, only if it had mushrooms. I simple yes or no would do. Decent pizza place in the heart of bedford hills. We have ordered from this place numerous times and it is hit or miss. I prefer the grandmas pies over the regular pies. Decided to try this place out with my boyfriend on Friday night after being referred by a few of our friends. The new decor is beautiful and the restaurant has a lovely vibe inside it. A very pretty young hostess welcomed us pleasantly and sat us fairly quickly (even without a reservation) We ordered the Burrata with roasted peppers and split a fruit and walnut salad. All delicious. The salad could have used a bit more dressing but nonetheless fantastic. For my entrée I had the Polo Sette E Venti which is chicken stuffed with prosciutto and mozzarella. Amazing! My boyfriend had the Veal Sorrento and he loved it as well! Said the Veal was very tender! We topped our meal off with two rich espresso 's and a delicious "deconstructed cannoli." Perfect end to a great meal. For me, service can be just as important as the food for a new higher end/epensive restaraunt. With that being said our waitor, Martin, was fanastic. Great personality and very attentive to our needs. Kept the dishes moving and kept our table clean with no bread plates or lingering silverware! We enjoyed every minute of having him! Interesting that I wanted to come on and review this restaurant and the only review happens to be the man sitting next to me who left this scathing review. First I'm going to comment on the amazing service I received and then the man who left that nasty review. I started off with Burrata as an app and it was completely delish! My husband had the Pollo Scarpariello and he was raving about it. I had the veal chop with mushroom black truffle...YUM. The restaurant even gave us a glass of limoncellom as well! The service was professional and kind. I will definitely come back!!! Now onto the review this man left, and I happened to be present for. This man came in demanding all kinds of things. He was rude and obnoxious and treated the staff and anyone who came into contact with him as an inferior. At one point my husband wanted to say something to him since he was impeding on our dining experience. What is really interesting is after he got his food...he told the waiter that it was delicious! Amazing food and service. Great value! We took our daughter for her birthday. I had the zuppa de pesce, seafood linguini with tomato sauce and it was a generous portion with lots of clams, shrimp, calamari and mussels. Sauce was so good! My husband had veal romano and it was cooked with artichoke, cherry tomatoes and mushroom. The meat was very tender. They have a children's menu but enough pasta dishes for everyone to choose from. After a long week of work, this was our go to take out for Friday. It was a wonderful establishment with great workers. Little to my knowledge there are recently new owners, but the old menu on the old website is still online. I tried to order my usual order and got something completely different. I called thinking that I had gotten someone else order and a man said he would drop off what I had intended to ask for. A few moments later a woman calls back (VERY COMBATIVE AND ABRASIVE) and says that I had gotten what I had asked for. When I told her on their online menu it says that these are the ingredients. She said that she had no idea what I was talking about and no idea what menu I was looking at and I should've told her what is in the pasta. I explained that I have order the dish by name and have used the online menu many times. She then informed me of new owners and reiterated to order the food by the ingredients (which I would have had I known there were new owners). Went here tonite for the last time. Have been coming with a party of four weekly for probably 2 years while our children are at an activity. Food is always good. Tonite our usual waitress wasn't there. We sat down about 615 and ordered right away. At 7:10 we still didn't have our food. We called the waiter over and he said "you're next" I asked to speak to the manager. About 730 he came over & I said " hi we come here weekly. It took an hour for us to get our food tonite" he said "I checked your ticket it was only 40 minutes" (even the waiter; when we were leaving verified it was more than 40 minutes" he said "as you can see we are busy. I dont know what you want me to do. We only have 7 burners back there" He never said he was sorry. He could have offered us a cup of coffee as an apology...instead he was full of excuses. I guess it shouldn't surprise me since he had the same attitude over the summer- we sat up front in the pizzeria area &!there were bugs up the wall, on the table and flying over us. He said "there's not much we can do- it's that time of year" Anyway although the food was always good, I will not spend my money (and neither will my 3 friends) at an establishment that does not value their customers read more

I heard that this restaurant had a new chef, so we gave it another try. We went there last week and the service, decor and most importantly food were great. Met the new chef as well, nice guy who has a good vision for the menu and where he wants to take it. Tagliatell Bolognese was fantastic as was the Pork Osso bucco. We order from Gianfranco's at least once a week; whether its pizza, lasagna, veal parm or penne a la vodka, its always delcious. Noit a single disappointment in many years. Unfortunately, Sette E Venti was a disappointment. While the menu looked interesting, everything my part of 4 had was just mediocre. And the service was inconsistent -- hovering for a while but it was 30 minutes between appetizers and entrees. This was in December and since then, we've ordered from Gianfranco's every week but we don't plan to go back to Sette E Venti again. Why spend more for less? read more

This is the easiest 5 star review ever! My husband and I just had Saturday night dinner dinner at Sette E Venti. It was out first time eating there. We have had trouble finding a really good Italian restarant recently and that problem is now solved. We sat at the bar and Jenna took great care of us as did the owner Maurizio. The food was outstanding. We had Eggplant chips as a starter, the pasta was amazing as was the pizza and veal milanese. Bolognese sauce the true Italian way without cream. so tasty. The restaurant setting is very pleasing with a great atmosphere. We also flet it necessary to point out that at the time of this review, Yelp listed Sette E Venti as $$$ (three dollar signs) which to us means a bit too expensive as typically entrees are high $20s and $30s, not here. This should be $$!! The prices were very reasonable, pastas in the teens, pizza margarita only $11, wines very reasonable. We will be back often. read more

This restaurant is a nice addition to the area. The service was great , the ambience was nice (but unexpected- tile flooring and high ceilings -somewhat noisy). We would prefer a little more variety on the menu including traditional Italian dishes like lasagna or manicotti. The burrata was delicious. Almost every item on the menu was overpriced by $3-$5. For the price I paid at this restaurant I'd rather go to blackstones. But overall it was good. I'd give it a great if there were more options and lower prices. read more

Great Italian-American restaurant with some modern and fresh takes on classics. Growing up in an Italian household and often traveling to Italy, it becomes hard to find "good" restaurants that prepare food equal to or better than I can. My first test is the sauce that a restaurant serves. The hot antipasto and gnocchi (which were homemade and perfectly pillowy) had a very fresh filetto di pomodoro. It was bright, fresh and chunky which accompanied the meal perfectly and wasn't over seasoned. The appetizer's crispy arancini, tasty seafood, and ricotta-filled rolled eggplant were very good. The star was the "fusilli with short rib sugo". I didn't expect a Calabrese macaroni, and boy was I pleasantly surprised to find my favorite shaped handmade pasta, instead of the spiral "commercial" take on American fusilli. The meat was succulent and had been perfectly braised and salted. The desserts were not the star of the show (at least not the tiramisu`), which is OK, because after such a carb-filled meal, who really needs dessert? We will definitely return to try some of the other dishes, even though I am still dreaming about the short rib fusilli dish! Celebrated a birthday with 2 other friends last night. Very pleasant greeting by an attractive young lady and lead to our seats. David the manager came over to introduce himself and instantly his friendly outgoing personality warmly welcomed us. He introduced Martin our waiter and we settled in. Our Chardonnay was perfect for a ladies wine...can't remember the name but was told it's their biggest request. Since it was restaurant week, we ordered from the special menu and had appetizers of calamari, salad and polenta topped with mushroom sauce which was outstanding! We all ordered Mahi Mahi with brussell sprouts in a lemon sauce which was delicious. Our desserts were part of the menu which was chocolate mousse topped with fresh bananas, taramisu and a hot apple crisp in a small pan topped with vanilla ice cream. All were delicious...we cleaned our plates. The wait service was excellent and Martin is delightful, friendly and attentive. We all agreed we would come back for another visit.
