Very disappointed with delivery service. We used to love this place and ordered often. The people and restaurant are great when you go in but, pizza is something there are many delivery choices for and we would choose them for quality. Unfortunately I once again received an order over 35 min late, no communication, and the "bot" that is their answering service is not helpful. Food was cold and dinner very late. Located in a pretty big shopping center with plenty of parking. The staff were helpful and very quick with service. The inside is pretty typical of a NY pizzeria. Usually when trying a pizzeria for the first time, I go with a plain slice. I was super hungry this time, so I broke my rule and tried the philly cheese slice. First off, the slice was generously adorned with pieces of onion, steak, and cheese. Upon trying the slice, I was impressed with the savoriness and the resemblance to a cheesesteak sandwich. Definitely a good philly cheese slice. I thought the crust was lacking a bit in terms of flavor, but overall I would return. If it's a pizza place within a 10 mile radius from my house, I've probably had it. La Familia has earned a spot on my "repeat offender" list. The pizza is a solid NY slice. It won't win any awards but it definitely hits the spot and is consistent. I have also tried a few other things. Their garlic knots are very good. They are not only seasoned well but they come as hefty squares rather than a puny little knot. The sauce they come with is delicious and compliments the bread well. This will make it into the order every time. I once ordered the penne familia with sundried tomatoes, broccoli, garlic, and olive oil and it didn't get the job done. It was WAY too oily and the flavor just wasn't it. GF recently ordered the rigatoni verdura which was FANTASTIC. I'm sure I ate half of it myself because I couldn't stop. My family has been coming here since they opened years ago and we love it. The staff are all so nice and friendly. There's always tons of regulars so it kind of feels like home. My daughter and I love to have the pesto pizza and we add spinach. Broccoli, prosciutto and garlic - delish! All their pizzas are great and they always have lots of interesting ones available by the slice. My kids always want the garlic knots which have just the right amount of garlic butter and cheese. For entrees my go to is the chicken sorrentino - soooo good! Total comfort food. The entrees come with a side of pasta and salad. We like the food the best at this location over Pound Ridge so we drive the extra few miles. read more

Really great, reliable and delicious pizza. I like the options for grilled vegetables, love that you can order your pie well done, double-cut, etc. and am always impressed by how quick and truly consistent their food is. VEGAN CHEESE!!!!!! Recently moved to the area and saw La Familia had a vegan cheese option. Got a Grandma pie with vegan cheese and it was pretty incredible. It feels like most pizza places that have vegan cheese forget how to make a good pizza as soon as you swap out the cheese, but La Familia absolutely NAILED it. One of the absolute best pizzas I've had in recent memory. I really hope they continue offering vegan cheese and even expand their vegan choices! read more

These guys are outstanding and take great care of us. I live in Heritage Hills and we have to be one of the hardest places to deliver for because this place is massive and like a maze. I always tip big because any driver that has to deal with this place deserves it. Treat them well please so they will continue to service us. Grubhub is a joke here there are never any drivers on duty so you can only rarely ever get anything delivered. These guys are always there and reliable and dependable. This place is phenomenal. The establishment is really clean, service is great, etc. On to the fun stuff, the food is AMAZING. First of all, they won me over when I saw that they poked holes into the bottom of the aluminum tin that held my fries so that they wouldn't get soggy. Praise the lord. I ordered the salad slice, and it was so flavorful and delicious. The veggies were crisp and not soggy (clearly I have an issue with soggy, but don't we all?). The slice was loaded. My body usually burns through greens and craves carbs almost instantly, but this slice was so filling and refreshing. Lastly, the garlic knots. Delicious. I took a bite and went to heaven.
