    Disappointed. Single scoop.
    Jessica A.

Bought two scoops for my son, one for me. This is what I got - and you can kind of see his two scoops are just as small. My scoop was smaller than a golf ball. $13 for this disappointment. I didn't say anything, because my son was already having a tough day and regardless of the amount, he was smiling. I'm just curious if this is the new norm. I've been in before and never had this problem.

I ordered their "official NHL team logo cake" for my birthday. They called and said they couldn't make it and I could get a refund or pick it up 2 days after the birthday party, because they would have to get it from a different store, which doesn't help me at all. Don't tell people you can make the cake, give them a pickup time 2 hours before the party then the day before, call and say you cannot make the cake. I called the employee back and she said "my manager isn't here, but I can do a refund or just write go sharks on it." This is a $44 cake, that is supposed to have the team logo on it. Now it's a $44 cake that doesn't have anything but writing on it, and I can't get it until 2 days after the birthday party. Very unprofessional and rude. I have gotten every birthday cake there since I was a child, but I will not return now that they have were so rude and didn't let me know until the day before so now I can't get a cake anywhere else. If you want a happy birthday or a good cake, stay far, far away from this store.

As a professional in the Sacramento event industry, I have the unique opportunity to see behind the…read morescenes of hundreds of weddings and high-end celebrations. I've worked alongside Frank Vilt's Cakes many times, and I can say without hesitation that Frank is one of the most talented, reliable, and big-hearted vendors in the business. The Signature Carrot Cake & Small Desserts While Frank is known for his stunning custom wedding cakes, his Carrot Cake is, in my opinion, a masterpiece. It's perfectly spiced, incredibly moist, and clearly made from scratch with high-quality ingredients. I've also had the pleasure of sampling his small dessert displays at various events. From his "California Cannolis" to his gourmet cupcakes and brownies, the attention to detail is unmatched. He doesn't just prioritize the look; he prioritizes the flavor. At every event where Frank provides the treats, the dessert table is the most talked-about part of the night. Service Area & Reliability Whether you are hosting an event in Sacramento, looking for a premier bakery near Folsom, or planning a wedding in the Cameron Park / Shingle Springs area, Frank is the person to call. He is deeply rooted in the local community and is a preferred vendor at some of the most prestigious venues in the region. A Pro's Pro Beyond the sugar and flour, what truly sets Frank apart is his character. In this industry, you want to work with people who are "helpers." Frank has a huge heart and is always there to support his fellow wedding professionals. Whether it's going the extra mile for a bride or lending a hand to another vendor during a hectic setup, his professionalism and kindness are rare. Highly Recommended for: Custom Wedding Cakes (Sacramento & Folsom areas) Event Dessert Bars (Mini-cupcakes, cannolis, and bars) Specialty Flavors (The Carrot Cake is a must-try!) If you want a baker who brings both world-class skill and a genuine passion for his craft to your big day, look no further than Frank Vilt's Cakes.

Hey hey... this place is really pretty darn good and if I could do 4.5, I would... I really…read morevacillated between the 4 and 5 star rank because there are so many things that are right about this restaurant. But there is something missing...? Maybe it's just a wow factor. The food is solid and I've eaten at a LOT of Indian restaurants. Just mostly before doing any reviews it's pretty much my fave, just not a lot where I reside. I digress! Service was good we only waited a few minutes at the front before someone realized we were there and from that point we have been pretty well attended to. Waiter was attentive and its busy Mother's Day Holiday. The ambiance is nice, clean, comfortable, upscale, decor is mood setting, music is spot on. What is boils down to is the food... it's good, but is it the best Indian food I've ever had? Well, sorry no. The base flavor is great, but something felt like it was missing? The vindaloo spicy could be a LOT hotter, and it's got a lot of tomato. Usually when you have the sauces over time the spices just dance in your mouth and you get different hits of things and I felt like something was muted? The back end complexity I'm used to isn't there. But don't get me wrong-we will likely be back because the food is solid and a close enough drive. Great location. Maybe I'm being too hard? But it's one of my favorite foods. The boys loved the hearty large pieces of meat... I was less of a fan but saw their view point, e.g. more filling, less dry. The chutneys, kinda standard fare until you get to that spicy one and then WOW! That's amazing! We got a mild, medium and spicy leveled sauces. For your average foodie that doesn't eat "spicy" food I would say it's spot on... for someone who is looking for something nuclear, how do they request that?? Need to know how to order something REALLY spicy... bring the pain...!!! Barely broke a sweat on the spicy vindaloo and spicy coconut chicken... but tasty! * we talked about it on the way home and we were thinking maybe because it was Mother's Day weekend. There was high demand so the sauces might be a little young too? Might not have had enough time to really flourish and simmer. Naan was yummy and fresh. Chai super flavorful and rich. Lassi was solid great taste, not really chilled so if you are looking for a chilled lassi, just be aware... The other thing I noticed as far as service goes there was nothing that just came out with the meal. I'm kind of spoiled and that I've gone to Indian restaurants... usually have something served on the house like a papadum or naan bread or raita or rice with meal? Granted it's been a little while so maybe this is something that's going away with the times? Hope they will have fennel on the way out. *update they didn't but that's OK. They had candy. :)

It was unlike what I used to get years ago. It was brown and didn't taste like cookies and cream. I was bummed about that but happy I could taste it first before I decided to fill my cup. The cold brew yogurt is outstanding! She said it is made with real coffee and it tastes like it! I would order this every time if they had it. I like that it is serve yourself and even the samples you can serve yourself which is very nice. I was glad I could because it changed what I bought. It is pricy! One size cup and it is large. I filled mine only about 1/4-1/3 full and it came to $6.14! Yikes! As much as I really did like the cold brew flavor, I think I would rather go buy a 1.5 quart of Dreyers (for less $) at the grocery store and have it multiple times. There was only one person working on Monday around 1:00 pm. There were no customers in the store so that was nice because I had never been in before. The young woman who helped me was very nice and happily answered my questions and made suggestions.
