I've been visiting this Cold Stone location since it opened many years ago, and I've always loved it. Now that I have kids, I often let them go in on their own -- it's a small way to teach them independence and responsibility. Today, I sent my son in to get ice cream for himself and my 2.5-year-old niece. He came out with what was supposed to be Lemon Sorbet, but the texture was totally off -- sticky, spongy, and oddly marshmallow-like with a strange lemon flavor. It was so bad that I had my husband and mom taste it, and everyone agreed it was disgusting. I told my son to go back in and politely ask for a different ice cream since something was clearly wrong. He came back out saying the employees told him no. My husband then went in to handle it and was met with rude, unhelpful teenage staff who refused to replace it and claimed there was "no manager." They even told him to just leave a review. We're both small business owners and understand that young employees can make or break a customer's experience. This interaction was unacceptable -- it wasn't about the money, it was about how poorly it was handled. A simple "Sorry about that, let's fix it" would have gone a long way. Cold Stone has always been a fun, family-friendly treat spot, but after today, I won't feel comfortable sending my kids in there alone until there's clear improvement in staff training and customer service. I truly hope the owner sees this and makes some changes, because this location used to be great -- and it can be again. read more

Cake buyers beware. Placed an order, 2 weeks prior for my daughters birthday, for a Bluey themed cake that they offer on their website and this is what we received at pick up. This is NOT what we ordered, NOT what was advertised, and even 'birthday' is spelled wrong!!!! The cashier who helped us was equally shocked and apologetic at how wrong it was and provided us a full refund, which I am so thankful for. I am not normally one to leave negative reviews (or reviews at all), however I was appalled at my experience at this Coldstone. A few days ago, I ordered a medium sweet cream ice cream, no toppings. It was scooped with scoopers sitting in brown discolored standing water, and it left a visible brown film coating on my ice cream. I paid an outrageous amount for this simple scoop of ice cream, and it looked disgusting and unsanitary. I almost gave it back, but they were very busy so I ended up tossing it. The customer service is good, the product is excellent, and the price is outrageous. My recommendation is to watch when the younger ladies, who work during the slower hours, do servings and ring you up. They'll give you a good serving of everything, but with sauces, you can wash out the rest of the flavors in the ice cream if they add too much. You'll have a $10 ice cream that tastes like whatever sauce you choose. Additionally, I was charged an extra dollar for a topping that I didn't receive, but I didn't want to mention it. I just let it go because it was as busy as usual. They get through the line quickly enough. No biggie, I still love this place and will speak up next time. read more

I was visiting the area this past week and had not been to this location in years and so I visited mostly for the nostalgia. I ordered a Gotta Have It Oreo Overload and was quite disappointed that the ice cream barely breached the top of the cup for $10. I don't know if maybe the employee was poorly trained, or if that's how they do their portions now but I hate that it's a crap shoot whether you are going to get a decent amount of ice cream or not. read more

My family and I are fairly regular here for our family ice cream outings and feel they have overall good service. Today I stopped by to pick up an ice cream cake for my daughter's birthday. The worker was super friendly and helpful and customized our cake for us. When we went to pay, the register was down and although the worker tried for a while to fix it, she was unable to find the problem. I've been going to Coldstone for years and I love this location. It's perfect because it's right next to the theatre and so convenient for dessert after a meal at one of the restaurants in town center! My family always orders cakes from this location as well, the cake decorators do an amazing job on custom cakes when we pre order, and if we're short on Tim we can buy one of the many amazing pre made cakes from the freezer. I recommend Oreo overload. I love the new creations they come up with every month and making my own too!
