I do enjoy an occasional ice cream cone, even in the winter. So here's the Scoop: One December, 20 years ago, I stopped by this exact BR location and didn't have my mind set on any particular flavor. It just so happened that Winter White Chocolate (W.W.C.) was the flavor of the month. So it began, my annual visit for a scoop of Winter White Chocolate. I ordered a cake with it to introduce my #1 flavor to my family. One Christmas, my Brother gifted me with a pre-packed quart of WWC to carry me into January since it is only available in DECEMBER!! These days, their average price of an ice cream cake is $50, that's kind of steep, but I assure you, it's very good. White chocolate is a tad sweeter than milk chocolate. Baskin Robbins does add crunchy milk chocolate bits and cherry pieces, all wrapped up in a ribbon of cherry swirls. Yummy good!! Every December 1st, I start making phone calls to the closest 4 locations to see who has it on their menu. Last year, they didn't have it!!! 2023 broke my perfect attendance record!! I called once a week, but it was not available!! Sadly, I thought it had been discontinued! It is possible, my second favorite BR flavor was Ambrosia, but they stopped making it about 16 years ago!! This year, its back!!! On December 2nd, I finally got my fix. I celebrated by getting it in a mini Elf sundae cup and added whipped cream on top! You have until December 31st to try it for yourself!! Don't forget to tell'em that Rosemary sent ya!!

My girlfriend and I came here randomly because she wanted ice cream. The kids scoop is 4.99, single is 5.99, double is 8.99 , and triple scoop is 11.99. I was surprised that there were two plant based ice cream options and they gave free samples. I got a kids scoop and boy was that kids scoop sad. It was melted and barely anything. I might as well gotten another sample spoon to make it even so I didn't have to pay 4.99 for the cup. My girlfriend got the sundae . The employee gave two small scoops (that was already melting), whip cream, sprinkles, and a cherry on top. Why is this place so sad and stingy on their ice cream? They charge so much for the melted ice cream and they're still stingy.

Nasty again. Hair in the ice cream container, and the guy didn't even get the hair off once I told him, I couldn't even get me no ice cream. This place hasn't change yet. I definitely won't be back. They need to be wearing a net around their hair, nasty.

Very dissapointed with my order. I was excited to order the turkey cake everyone was getting this year only to pick it up and receive a mediocre piece of cake. First of all I paid $43 online it states it serves 12-16 people. I have seen pictures and videos myself of it and it looks like a decent size. So why do I go pick up the smallest piece of cake ever, I thought to myself maybe it's just smaller in person but the more I looked at it there was no way it would feed no more than 6. So I go back in and tell the girl who handed it to me my concern. Mind you when I first got there she was in the back then came out while a line of customers were waiting and proceeds to text and laugh at her texts, whatever I waited. She then points at me to I guess signal me to go over I already knew from the start she would have horrible customer service. When I went back in she keeps insisting that it's correct and that's just how they made it but next to us is a freezer of cakes with a turkey cake SIGNIFICANTLY bigger so I'm like why is that one bigger she says it isn't like we aren't looking at the same cake and keeps gas lighting me to believe my cake is the correct size. I drop it because dealing with her was only going to get me mad and I just was not in the mood to cause a scene, but honestly I need a refund and for your employees to be educated on what good customer service is. There was also an issue with online order and it letting me select pick up time for thanksgiving day when they are closed. They kept blowing up my phone to come pick it up then this lady calls me to say they are actually closing earlier as of me having to rearrange my schedule a whole day isn't already an inconvenience I now have to drop what I'm doing to come up the worlds tiniest cake. She says they're closing earlier due to the holiday and the workers wanting to go home early ???

Delicious cake but the girl wrote the words horribly. Look at the "A" in dad.

The gelato is velvety & soft with prominent flavor profiles. It's tasty. (Important Note: Bring cash. Card has a small additional fee, about 3.5% extra. Also, there's no flavor sampling.) I arrived at Il Gusto (West Covina) on Monday (around 7:29pm). This location shares the busy parking plaza by 85 Degrees (West Covina). Fortunately, it was easy to find parking this evening. Staff is professional and helpful. Staff worked quickly, and staff answered all my questions. Line went very fast despite a group being ahead of me. As mentioned, I ordered the Medium Cup (2 Scoops - $8). I selected a milk chocolate scoop and a cookies-flavored scoop. Portion sizes are fair and adequate for its quality. The flavors are delicious. The milk chocolate scoop reminded me of rich, dark chocolate milk. Its consistency felt very velvety, and its strong chocolate flavor almost teetered towards chocolate brownie territory. The cookie-flavored scoop was very tasty as well. This scoop flowed smoothly, and I happily enjoyed the soft cookie chunks within. This had a milder taste, but it felt very satisfying. This gelato was not icy; rather, it had delightful flavors while flowing like chilled silk. Concerning ambiance, Il Gusto (West Covina) shows genuine effort. The location is very clean and well-ventilated (refreshingly chill). I also enjoyed the Elvis Presley music. However, the music was occasionally drowned out from the loud electronic buzzing/humming sounds from the kitchen's containers. Also, some portions of the walls and floors looked scuffed with black marks. Il Gusto (West Covina) is also fairly small. It has three reflective tables inside; customer-only restroom; and three nearby shaded tables outside. Overall, I had a pleasant experience at Il Gusto (West Covina). Its prices are adequate, the gelato is a good quality, and the staff is hardworking & helpful. If nearby, I recommend. 4.6 out of 5

Staff speaks English and Spanish. Staff answered all my questions. I ordered the Churro Sundae ($10). This dessert includes one scoop of ice cream and two six inch churros. I selected the Chocolate Malted Crunch ice cream scoop. The entire dessert was ready in eight minutes and 16 seconds. The dessert arrived picturesque. The Churro Sundae ($10) is attractive and fairly large; however, its taste is underwhelming. Although it felt like the churros were made-to-order in the backroom, the churros tasted bitter, chewy, and overcooked. These churros also lacked sweetness. Rather, these big churros tasted like chunky breadcrumbs. Fortunately, the Chocolate Malted Crunch ice cream scoop tasted delicious! It had an addictive crumbly texture. The ice cream also carried a chill and creamy chocolate flavor. Regarding ambiance, Churro Boss (Covina) is lackluster. It feels empty. The only seating is one long counter which had splotchy dried stains and crumbs. The location also has no restroom. Customers need to use their bottle of hand sanitizer or napkins if searching to clean their hands. There's two electric wall sockets in the far corner. And steady country music played in the background. Churro Boss (Covina) tries to be be modern and minimalistic. Overall, Churro Boss (Covina) offers tasty ice cream and pleasant service. They let me know all the different desserts and options. They also explained pricing and availability to me. They showed me all the different toppings that they have for not just ice cream and sundaes, but crêpes as well. Considering I walked in here, thinking that this was strictly an ice cream place, they have a very large menu. One thing that I remember very fondly about my visit here was not that there were a lot of people here, but the people that were dining in, they were mostly families with children. That may not seem like an important thing, but to me, seeing that is precious More often than not, you see children, their parents, and even their parents parents. So sometimes you get a small group of people, but really you have three generations. Quality time like that is absolutely precious and to see them so engaged in conversation with one another and laughing the entire time and sharing dessert, that was so awesome. Sharing ice cream with my dad at an ice cream parlor near our home is a very fond memory for me. So I guess that's why I paid attention to this while we died at scoop Street. When I took a moment to take a step back and look at our little family, we also were there in our lil three generational group: me, my kiddo & my Mom. The prices here are more than reasonable. The ice cream that is used for their desserts is from thrifty. The waffle cones are made in house and smell amazing. There really wasn't anything more than I could've asked of this visit to the ice cream shop. This was so special. Servers: Art & Austin
