It was served the regular way, and the custard was basically liquid. I also ordered my dad's plain vanilla frozen custard. The lady helping us was sweet, but she mentioned they only had certain frozen custards available at the moment, which was disappointing. I feel like there should've been a sign letting customers know that beforehand. When I questioned my order and mentioned what the sign described the Carolina Concrete to be, the employee did offer to remake it, which I appreciated. But honestly, I shouldn't have had to ask for something to be made correctly the first time when I paid for it. I'm not sure what was going on, but it felt like they weren't prepared for the Sunday crowd on a hot day. And no -- before anyone assumes it melted because of the weather -- I ate it inside my car with the A/C on, not outside. One thing I'll always give them credit for is the atmosphere.
