Came in on Sunday (3/8) and it was packed the line was basically out the door. The shop was very lively. Even though they were extremely busy, the staff handled it so well. Everyone was still greeting customers, smiling, and staying polite the whole time, which I really appreciated because I saw a few customers being pretty impatient. When it was finally my turn, the worker who helped me was incredibly nice. Her name was Amari. Even though there was a long line, she still let me try a couple samples and didn't rush me. She also gave me a recommendation that ended up being amazing. You could tell she genuinely cared about giving good service even while being super busy. Honestly, her kindness really made my night. I came to this location recently to pick up an Oreo ice cream cake for my son's 15th birthday. I called before arriving and King helped me. I was so taken aback at how helpful he was on the phone in making sure I had a cake to purchase. He was super patient with me as I asked my price questions. The woman who was working needs to be properly trained. She lacked basic social skills. Customer service is not the job for her. I recently signed up for Baskin Robbins' birthday club where you can get a free scoop of ice cream for your birthday. Little did I know upon signup, I'd get an offer of a Buy One Cone, Get One Free. The offer was set to expire in a week, however. After a pretty tough day of work and shopping, I stopped by this Baskin Robbins on the northwest corner of Del Amo and Bellflower to redeem my BOGO offer. There's not a whole lot of parking in front, but most of the spots were unoccupied when I went on a Tuesday evening. There were a couple of customers inside the shop, which gave me ample time to peruse Baskin Robbins' (31?) different flavors of ice cream sitting in their chest freezers. At first, I saw only one male employee, but then his co-worker popped out from the back and started assisting customers like yours truly. That co-worker offered to help me, and I told him I wanted to redeem my BOGO offer. I went with the Mom's Makin' Cookies and the featured flavor of the month, Peanut Butter Blossom. Remember those cookies topped with a Hershey kiss? Yup, those were the times :) I was then asked what kind of cone I'd like. I know I didn't want a Waffle Cone because that would have incurred quite an upcharge, one I didn't want to splurge on. The other choices were Cake and Sugar cones. I usually prefer ice cream in a cup rather than a cone, so I didn't really know the difference between the Cake and Sugar cones. However, the first employee I saw mentioned there were non-sugar cones, and so I simply said I'd have the non-sugar cones for both flavors. Glad I did because those cones have a flat bottom unlike the other two, which are conical in shape. The cones were placed on the counter while I was paying for my cones. After grabbing the cones, I hopped over to the nearby table to enjoy my treats. The Mom's Makin' Cookies was pretty good, but not as good as what the description made it out to be. The description said, "Mom's secret recipe of brown sugar flavored ice cream filled with chocolate chip cookie pieces, chocolate flavored chips, and a delicious cookie dough batter flavored ribbon. As a cookies & cream lover, I thought that sounded like a winning combo, but unfortunately, it wasn't quite what I was hoping for. I would say this flavor is a good example of too much good being no good, though I'd still recommend giving it a try if you have more of a sweet tooth than I do. However, I don't recommend the Peanut Butter Blossom. It didn't really taste much like those cookies I used to have when I was a kid. While the peanut butter flavor was there, it was just way too much, yet another example of too much good being no good. Not only that, but the ice cream was pretty chunky in texture, kind of like chunky peanut butter. The stark contrast in texture is evident from one of my photos where I show the two mostly eaten cones side by side. The Mom's Makin' Cookies was pretty smooth as if to give off the appearance that it filled the cone. However, if I tried to lick the Peanut Butter Blossom, it could have fallen off the cone! Service from both gentlemen was good, but not extraordinary by any means. They did appreciate my patronage, but their backs were facing me for the most part when I was the only customer in the shop. At least they did wish me a good evening when I left. The lot directly in front of Baskin Robbins is one way only, and you can only get in from Del Amo. When you exit, you have to head north to the alleyway. I had to go behind KFC to get back on the main road. You could try making a U turn to the right, but you might be blocked by the drive thru for next door Adalberto's Mexican Food. I liked one flavor, but I didn't like the other. Three stars for now. I don't foresee a return visit unless I get another offer like that, and even so, I'm more inclined to try a different Baskin Robbins to see how it would compare to this one. However, if you're in the area or live nearby and want some ice cream, it's a good choice. Just don't expect the best tasting ice cream regardless of what flavor(s) you choose. read more

Fawad, owner's son, at this Baskin-Robbins location was great and very helpful. I called today (9/24/25) to see if they had a chocolate ice cream chocolate cake in stock at this location. Fawad said he did not but would get one from another location and offered to even custom design the cake in a Batman theme for my nephew's 5th birthday today if the cake designer was available and could do it today. The artist was available and able and will have my cake ready later today.
