This particular Baskin-Robbins location in a shopping plaza located in San Dimas was clean and spacious. I saw the promotion outside and couldn't resist a cold, creamy sweet Cappuccino Blast (made with ice cream and real coffee!). They are running a promotion where each size is $2 off. I got the small for $5 and it did not disappoint. It was the perfect afternoon pick-me-up that I needed. The small size portion was generous and enough for me. The staff member at the counter was friendly and kind. I was very happy with this impromptu stop I made that afternoon. It was an instant mood-boost!

You can never argue that there's a lack of variety at Baskin-Robbins. Such is the case with this location in San Dimas. There's not a lot to differentiate it from the rest of the other. BR locations, but that's not a bad thing. Service was quick, with two servers covering the front counter on the day of our visit, and both servers were pleasant as they worked in unison to complete our order. The decor is classic Baskin-Robbins with lots of festive posters advertising their seasonal fare and full display cases of cakes and pre-packaged goodies for purchase. As mentioned earlier, being that this is part of the BR franchise, you'll get what you expect. Don't forget to load up the kids to treat to a cone from here on a hot summer afternoon.

Ice cream is one of my favorite treat for a snack or dessert. Usually a sugar cone is my go to, but occasionally I will have a sundae or smoothie. Every December, I can't wait to have the Winter WHITE Chocolate flavor. We went to two locations and they didn't have it!! I did try a substitute flavor of MILK Chocolate Cherry Bark, it was tasty and had a nice crunch, but cannot compare! I came home, and called four locations, none have it. I was told it was not discontinued, though. Looks like I might have to wait 12 months.

Been to this location a couple of times, always tons of parking, tucked away in the corner, very clean store, not a ton of seating, if you have more than two you might not be able to sit together. No outdoor seating. Friendly helpful staff, lots of flavor, and prices as expected anywhere else. Would highly recommend and return.

With many cheap flavors to choose from, you can never go wrong stopping by Baskin Robbins in San Dimas. You may drive past it as it is set back so look for a Red Robin and turn into that parking lot. They do have some seating inside and the staff tends to be friendly.

Alexis did a FABULOUS job on this cake! She was so sweet dealing with my 11yo and his vision of how he wanted his cake to look. We order from here every year and they always do an amazing job!

This is my $50 split ice cream cake with the incorrect spelling of my sons name.

Very disappointed. I called in an order for a birthday cake on Thursday evening. I was assured it would be ready for Saturday afternoon. The girl who took my order but phone was pleasant and tried to be helpful, she gave me an e-mail that I could send a photo to them so they could decorate the cake with it. Prior to hanging up, the young lady, Emma, took down all the information. I did e-mail all the information (pick up date and time, type of ice cream and cake details, colors for the cake, the picture for the cake and even acknowledge the additional charge for a split cake in the body of the e-mail. I blind CC'd myself to ensure the e-mail went thru (which it did) and when I arrived I was told the e-mail was not received and that they tried to call, not 1 voice message was left, and the girl that was helping at the register had a grumpy attitude. I ended up coming out with a plain white cake with red writing and my son's name was not even spelled correctly. Instead of Nathan, they spelled NATAN. I gave 3 stars because at least the flavor of the cake was good and Emma was very nice. I will not be returning to this Baskin Robbins again.

They close at 10pm but start putting away their ice cream around 945pm. I get the desire to get things done and go home early but maybe they should start slowly changing their slogan on the sign at 930. 28 flavors. At 935 22 flavors. In any case, they said they were out of most of their ice cream and then admitted that they had just put them away. Annoying. read more

Ever since the CVS near my house closed down, I've been coming here. They have pretty good ice cream. The employees are welcoming as well. You're in and out in a jiffy! Very attentive employees. This will be my new ice cream spot. read more

Last Tuesday went to BR in San Dimas. Andrew helped me and Amber helped my friend. We came in for ice cream for our 2 little guys. Both Amber and Andrew were amazing. They made them cute shark sundaes and you could tell they took pride in their work. The ice cream you can get at any BK but not the atmosphere or the professionalism. I give those two 5 stars plus. read more

This location has gone downhill. The size of the scoops are smaller. It didn't even touch the sides of the cup! I guess it depends on who scoops. I got the guy and he was ending his shift. His girlfriend was waiting. The scoop was small as described earlier. Ripped off!!! It is better to go to the other locations. read more

I must say, this particular Baskin Robbins had an old-time feel to it, I really enjoyed the experience; the staff was very helpful and the selections were great. There were kids in the store, and they were glad anxious to have some Good Ice Cream on a Hot Day, there was a traditional atmosphere to the place and the pictures on the wall made me feel very comfortable and excited to eat there. Parking was great also, however my only compliant was that the store wasn't advertised good enough so that we could see it from the street. In fact, if me and my wife hadn't been walking around the area we wouldn't have noticed the store. But overall, we enjoyed our Ice Cream and the experience with it. read more

Even though the Claremont location is closer to me, I choose to drive to the San Dimas location. It's always clean and the parking is very convenient. Plus they're always playing good music. The people who work there are always friendly. I once got there at a few minutes before closing and even though they were already sweeping up, the girl motioned us to come in and she was very polite and happy to serve us. I thought she was going to give us attitude, but nope, she was very nice and she let us sit there and did not rush us out. read more

i love this BR! I have been coming here most Tuesday nights and order a cappuccino blast. all the staff are super friendly and really awesome to deal with. The last one I got from zeeshan was a good case in point. It was really tasty and it looked exactly like the picture! Still a great place to get ice cream. Even though it is cold the staff are always smiling, warm, and welcoming. Always happy with there birthday cakes too. So easy to pick up ice-cream cake with candles. I enjoy coming here when I can. read more

Decent service! This location gave us big scoops, which I like. It can seem a little cramped if it's crowded like it was when I went, on a late Saturday evening. Make sure to check the newspaper ads, check online, or sign up for their email newsletter for coupons! I used a buy-one-get-one-free cone coupon that was emailed to me and they accepted the mobile version. I would come back again! read more

There was a BIG advertisement for August 31st. Stating 31cent scoops. I waited and waited for this SALE, then I went to the SAn Dimas 31 Flavors for my Jamoca Almond Fudge ice cream... ONLY to find out there wasn't ANY. Rude employees. One girl (pinkish hair) started to take our order. She was in a terrible mood and after helping one of us, she lost interest. Another employee took over and she was in a bad mood too (probably from the other employee), but at least completed our order. When she was about to ring us up, the pinkish haired employee cut her off and started ringing up people who came after us. I stood there by the register with my credit card in hand wondering if I should say something, but thought why bother ... I'll Yelp it. read more

This Baskin-Robbins is always nice and clean, and updated with helpful, friendly staff. They have so many flavors at this one that I usually have a hard time choosing which flavor I want! I was surprised that the Cookies and Cream is so delicious as most brands of this flavor are too sweet that I never get it anywhere else. Their churro flavor is incredible. I got a nicely decorated Star Wars mint chocolate chip cake from here for my son's bday and everyone loved it. We go here all the time because it is a great location! Went to the one on Pico recently and it was dirty, staff were rude, selection was a lot less, so it made me appreciate my home store so much more! read more

The hours of operation on yelp say they are open til 11pm. I drove 4 miles out of my way to get ice cream and they were closed. I call to see what time they closed and the kid that answered the phone on sat April 26th answered the phone unprofessional and hung up I me after rudely telling me they closed at 10pm. You should really put the correct hours of operation and find employees that aren't so rude!!! 2 thumbs down for you guys!! The Pumpkin Pie Crepe tasted exactly like a pumpkin pie, as expected. However, it wasn't too sweet and had more of a real pumpkin flavor that pair very nicely with the pecans and caramel drizzle. The crepe was cooked perfectly and held together nicely with all the other ingredients. The portion size was large and could be shared between two people. It didn't exactly blow me away, but I appreciated the fact that it tasted like I was eating a pumpkin pie without the over sweetness. The Turkish Coffee was okay in my opinion, but it could be because I'm not used to it. Creamer and sugar packets are provided. The coffee alone was very bold and almost had a burnt taste, but not in a bad way; bringing out the flavor of the coffee beans more. I think if flavors of the coffee were offered then it would definitely be a favorite. My partner tried the frozen yogurt and she enjoyed it very much. The serving size was large as well, enough for two-three people. Overall, I enjoyed my experience. To my knowledge, no military nor first responder discount offered.

I was satisfied at the flavor of the ice cream, the presentation of the nachos but I think we could use better spoons for sure ! There are so many toppings to pick from but I wanted to keep it simple , I've always been told that if you can nail the basics , you don't need 1000 other flavors or toppings to make it taste right and I absolutely agree . I went for vanilla ice cream and it was amazing ! So full of flavor and the portion was perfect. The place is very clean and well kept., wish they would offer water but it's okay! Parking is ample and very safe . The young gal that helped us was very informational and professional and we would probably come back., just with our own spoon . The ones provided are very flimsy.

They have plenty of flavors to choose from and several cone options. I went with the standard sugar cone and it was delicious and fresh with a good "snap." What a nice treat! The shop was noticeably dirty--floors needed mopping, counters weren't wiped down, and the whole place just felt unclean. The toppings selection was very limited, which was disappointing. On top of that, the employee working seemed to be in a bad mood--his energy was off, he wasn't welcoming, and didn't even offer lids for our to-go yogurts. Cleanliness and customer service matter, especially in a food setting. I hope management takes the time to properly clean, restock, and improve the overall experience, because right now it's just not acceptable.

It was 14 something "after" the five dollars off. Almost twenty dollars before the discount? We were not offered a receipt? Something is wrong here at this location. Agree with Mathew below. There is funny business going on with the scale. Corporate needs to do something. Charging inaccurately like this is unethical.

The service was fast, the servers were friendly and the order was correct. We got a hot fudge sundae, root beer float and a single vanilla cone. They were delicious! The only thing missing from years gone bye were carhops and a $0.15 single cone!

That being said it wasn't that enjoyable and it gave me a stomach ache. And the chocolate dip was a little waxy.

The coffee tastes like a clean, bitter, cold brew with a foamy top. (Important: Bring Cash. There's a 4% Cash Discount.) I arrived at Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) on Thursday (around 12:13PM). Parking is simple but busy. There's a side lot for customers; sign says, "2 Hour Parking." Staff is courteous, no-nonsense, and diligent. Staff worked hard. Staff quickly answered all my questions. My coffee took about three minutes. Good time. As mentioned, I ordered the Nitro Cold Brew ($9 - Large - 24oz). The coffee is very standard. It tastes exactly like any imagined cold brew coffee. Personally, the roast tasted a little burnt, but it's a common, familiar coffee flavor. The strength was weak for a nitro, but the HUGE SIZE and affordability balances it all out. This is a functional, budget drink. On ambiance, Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) is a HUGE success. There's a lot of utility. The location has a self-serve water station, public internet with no password, stacked high chairs for children, two game corners (ex: Chess, Giant Connect 4, Giant Jenga, Uno Cards, Etc), and about one available electrical outlet. I also appreciated the retro, upbeat music and 1930s movie decor. In addition, Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) has plenty of seating. There's about four interior tables, but there's also 16 outside patio tables. The location is clean, well-maintained, and well ventilated. Overall, Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) is a good, local neighborhood spot. It offers affordable choice that are prepared "good enough." I wouldn't drive a long distance for this spot, but it's a decent option if you're already nearby. 4.5 out of 5

If you plan on visiting, I definitely recommend taking a peek at their large menu online before you get there so you have an idea of what you want. They have a huge patio area with fun games to play for the entire family, which is a great touch. The staff was amazing in guiding my family and me toward the best food options for what we were craving. I ended up ordering the B.T.S.A. sandwich, which was a lovely combination of toasted bread, mayo, avocado, spinach, bacon, and tomato. It was a well-balanced comfort meal that really filled me up. For the side, I chose the cucumber over the fruit and sprinkled a little salt on top, making it a perfect pairing. I enjoyed the whole meal with an iced tea and really look forward to trying it again. I would love to come back on the weekend if I can manage to find a parking spot!

Even on the avocado toast the eggs came out overcooked. I mention this, hoping that someone from the restaurant will read this and talk to the chef. I REALLY do like the food and I can deal with overcooked eggs but it would be better if they cooked the eggs as ordered or just don't ask anymore how to cook the eggs because they all come out the same. I asked my table neighbor if their eggs came out how they ordered and they said no but because it tastes good like me they don't say anything. I know the place gets really busy and I do enjoy coming because the vibe is good. The coffee and other drinks are good too. I will return because it's worth it and I enjoy coming . I just had to vent a little about the eggs. It really is a wonderful place to spend time and enjoy the food and drinks. I like supporting small businesses and I am happy that this place seems to be doing well.

They have an expansive range of snacks, some I'd beg my friends to bring back to the US when they travel. There's a good selection of Milkia chocolates, although I do wish they would stock some Swiss brands like Sprungli. They do carry Lindt, but not exclusive flavors. I don't mind waiting as they have many options. The real gems I found here are in the kitchen and dining section. They have some of the cutest kitchenware like strawberry themed jars, froggy glass cups, and sardine plates. For the matcha hobbyists, there are plenty of whisks and chawan bowls at reasonable prices. I've even scored two Hello Kitty cups from their clearance section. Nice employees here are definitely a plus. I prefer to be left alone, but they are quite helpful at the register. Take advantage of their membership for their perks. Returning for more great buys.

Love the remodel, the store looks so up-to-date and modern. The customer service and selection is phenomenal. They always have my favorite flavor stocked, Sour Patch Redberry, which is super obscure. I also have ordered a custom cake from there and it was INCREDIBLE. The cake decorator, Nadia, is so talented and really takes into consideration your vision.
