I wanted to share some honest feedback about my recent visit to Yum Yum Donut in Covina. The donuts and food are decent and hit the spot, so the product itself is okay. Unfortunately, the customer service needs serious improvement. The staff (women) consistently prioritize male customers--whether a man is walking in alone or in a group. They attend to the men first, flirt with them, and provide much friendlier service. Female customers, on the other hand, are treated poorly, with noticeable attitude and rushed or dismissive service. It feels very biased and unprofessional. This kind of behavior makes the experience uncomfortable and unfair. I'd love to see the team drop the attitude, treat all customers equally with respect, and acknowledge this issue so they can provide better service to everyone. Easy in and out of the private parking lot The shop itself is always clean, and display cases are always fully stocked with donuts, muffins, and bagels. Employees are always smiling and happy. This donut shop has evolved to offering more than donuts, it's also a deli. I stopped for coffee, but quickly changed my order when I saw they had fresh squeezed juices. The iced Green Machine was a perfect blend of fruit and veggies. I also had a pineapple filled empanada. The menu also has bagels, sandwiches, chicken wraps and tortas (photo attached). I've ordered the Tuna Melt twice before and loved it. This time, it wasn't the same at all. It was a regular tuna sandwich on a toasted bagel. Really disappointed as this was a treat for me after a tough day. Nice lady but needs to be trained better on the menu. 5/6 5:45 pm. I work with a program, that takes SPECIAL NEEDS adults out into the community. They were super excited to come to this yum yum location for donuts and coffee. Unfortunately, their excitement was quickly extinguished by the manager at this location Martha, who denied our request to let 1 of our special needs client to use the restroom (emergency). I would have given this location many more stars but there is one particular girl that works there who is bilingual who has flirted with my husband in the past. I went in a couple weeks ago and we had a conversation and she was asking me personal questions about my relationship with my husband . I thought it was rude. Fast forward a couple weeks both my husband and I went in there and she starts talking to my husband in Spanish when she is fluent in English trying to punk me. It was catty and rude. What is a girl who lives in Bakersfield doing at a 24 hour donut shop in Covina at 11:00 pm on a Thursday night? Hey, don't judge! I had to drive down to Placentia for a couple of hours to scout out a location for a live broadcast we were doing this weekend, but I also had to be back at work in Bakersfield before 8:00 on Friday morning. I left Placentia around 10:30 and set out on the 2 1/2 hour ride home, quickly realizing that I was going to need some sustenance to complete a journey of this magnitude. Enter into the equation my Yelp phone app and the picture is starting to become a little clearer. Sugar! What a wonderful way to stay awake on the long boring drive home! This Yum Yum Donut Shop was the answer to a fervent sugar-craving prayer. They are on the Southwest corner of Arrow Highway and Grand with very prominent signage that beckons you to come hither and taste their wares. They carry many of the donuts you would expect to find - bear claws, apple fritters, glazed, and old fashioned. I'm an old hat at this donut thing; nothing surprises me anymore. Well, very little surprises me - but this place sure did. They had donuts with stripes of chocolate frosting, dusted with cinnamon sugar, that looked like tiger stripes. They came in both round and bar form, and they were calling me by name. Honest to goodness... Well, at least I think I heard something... who can be sure. Anyway, the donut was quite tasty and just different enough from what I'm acquainted to expect from donut shops that it will stick out in my memory for some time. And all for under a dollar! There's nothing wrong with a 24 hr. donut shop, except maybe the location. Sure, I spent 4 years at USC, so I don't shy away from a sketchy setting at 2 a.m. but no sense in walking into a knife when all you wanted was a maple bar.... Anyway, Yum Yum is mostly hit with the occasional miss. You're not going to find a massive selection at 1 p.m. on a Sunday (they're fairly picked over at that point) but when you absolutely, positively need to be in Covina at quarter to 5 in the morning, and AM/PM coffee sounds as appealing as a mouthful of black Kiwi shoe polish, this place can serve your needs. One peripheral caution: some of the stoplights in the area still use those God-awful red light cameras. So in summary: don't get pinched by the law, don't get punched by the locals, don't expect your Chocolate old fashioned after the morning rush, and drink lots of fresh coffee every day. That last part sort of goes without saying... And besides, the more everyone drinks, the less likely I'll find the stagnant burned pot that no one has touched all day. read more

I hate to write bad review for my beloved Winchell But This had to be the worst winchell I had ever been to and coming from someone who had been regular customer of the mocha cappuccino chillas for 16 years since 2002 when it used to be just 2.99 to 3.29 all the way to 3.99 for a regular size. This location is the worst by far. The lady name Maria got lot of attitudes all the time. Always cursing at customers. This morning I made my usual stop and call ahead for my chillas letting them know I am 15 minutes away. She said it will be done in 10, when arrived 15 minutes later... There were not one single customer in line but instead of my drink being ready for pick up, the two workers were chitchatting and laughing and completely ignored the order or customer. I came in ready to pick up and pay and she said oh we haven't make it yet with Maria giving me attitude for interrupting her conversation. Finally Maria slowly went and dig for the pre-made ... Oops the pre-made was out! There was only a little bit left which doesn't look enough to make one drink..so She added some kind of powdered into it And lot of ice and make it anyway. Well.... As it turned out it tasted nothing like my usual mocha cappuccino. It tasted like watered down iced coffee. :( duh! That was mostly ice! Even the color was not right. I told them umm no. I decided to just take it as it is Because I am already 30 minutes late for my appointment. What a terrible experience. I overheard Maria walked into the kitchen and told the other workers how annoying she was when it was supposed to be me who's annoyed. Terrible customer service! It's a yum yum, so they do keep it pretty basic and in tune with what they're supposed to do. With that being said, my overall experience has always been great! I love walking in and always being greeted by their friendly staff. They're good people and also have a sweet bread that originated from El Salvador that's pretty good (quesadilla). read more

We were passing by this plaza and decided to stop have a snack in this cute donut shop. So we ask this young gentlemen at cashier what's good here, he barely cAn speak English and was not helpful and he told us tuna sandwich is popular there so we bought 2 tuna sandwiches but there is almost no tuna in it. When I ask for add more tuna in it, the same guy told us they are out of tuna. I told him if there is no tuna he should just let customer know instead of selling it to us without tuna in it and charge the money of tuna sandwiches.
