I have been a customer to this store since 2012 and today I came in to get just a couple of things from the Disney Princess collection and as I was waiting outside the glass windows I saw employees shopping for themselves before the store even opened and they bought up the candle holder pieces, such as the Rapunzel tower, the castle, etc. I'm beyond disgusted with this, it is against company policy. I LOVE this location! I also haven't been here in a long time and decided to pop in for my favorite coffee candle, Paris Cafe. Olivia helped me once I arrived and she went above and beyond in her recommendations of all things gourmand so of course I came home with five candles (their semi-annual sale is ACES!). She also informed me of what's coming for fall and when to come back (July) and I will be there! I came here last week to exchange my wallflower plug in's because they stopped working. Stood in line & the older woman came out & I asked her about my plug in's & That I didn't have a receipt because they're kinda old maybe a year or 2 old. She told me it is frowned upon from bath & body & that It needed to be within 6 months of purchase with a receipt. She made me feel UNWELCOME & OUT OF PLACE ("frowned upon") which I've never felt from a BBW store so I just left. I went home to read the store policy and didn't see what she told me (6months) w/receipt. So I called the Westminster mall BBW store and they said yes! They will exchange it. Went to the store and before standing in line, I asked the staff just to make sure again. They were super nice & took my wallflowers in exchange. I will never shop MAIN ST. From the moment I walked in this store I felt like I was a valued customer. The gentleman whom was working at the front door area was so friendly and made me fe welcome. He showed me all the fun products. The merchandise was displayed beautifully and everything I wanted was in stock. I bought five soaps, five hand sanitizers and a lotion. The staff here are very inexperienced and not well trained. A few weeks ago, when I came to buy some soap, I met Kelly. When she took my Gift Card, she intentionally scratched off my Gift Card's number. It made me extremely shocked. When I asked to resolve this, she told me to call Customer Service, but, when I came back to the store multiple times no one would want to help me. I am not sure why I even came in the first place. Today, I met Rebecca, who said she was the Store Manager. I came to return some items, when I lined up first ahead of others, they let another person skip in front of me and told me to step over. I think she has a problem with me, and that she is playing games with me. How can she run a business like this if she doesn't care for customers? This is a customer service job. I am very disappointed, Bath and Body works is a big store, but their staff and Manager treat customers horribly like their business is not needed. I rarely come into the store because the sales people are aggressive and it's less convenient that buying online or at Target. This visit was the same - two seconds in, and they're on you. However what made this visit two stars was that they had candles out on the shelf that weren't officially released but had no indication like a "try me" sticker to let you know they're not for sale. I ended up at the register waiting to see if they could even sell me a candle. (They wouldn't.) I won't come back when they release that smell and honestly find the whole thing perplexing. A guaranteed sale or nothing, and they chose nothing. It reinforced the many reasons I would rather buy elsewhere. read more

Love to shop here specially at this location because it's around the corner where I live. It is a hit and miss experience. Unfortunately, today was a racist issue. There are fewer customers in the store, most of them are Caucasian, 1 Hispanic and 1 Asian(which is me). I noticed the worker walk around to ask if anyone need help but she never ask the Hispanic customer or me. She does walk couple rounds and check on the Caucasian customers even ask one Caucasian customer twice. When I come up to the counter to pay, the other worker ring me up and ask if anyone help me today, I say "No, but maybe you guys should consider of helping everyone instead of choosing the color of skin or races". The worker just silenced. Maybe she can't answer me or maybe all the workers in this location are the same. Manager of this location, please serious look into this issue of your worker. I shop at Bath & Body Works pretty infrequently, but I LOVE that semi-annual candle sale! I think the candle sale happens twice a year but I stock up in December. Last year, my husband and I came early and waited in the line that formed outside the store before it opened. The line moved fairly quickly and we didn't notice any deficiencies with the stock/inventory. I recommend signing up for the app/rewards program - they always have special offers & I've never purchased anything full price! read more

I was never a B&BW fan until I came to this location. While getting a peach candle for my mom, one of the SA struck up a conversation with me complimenting me on my perfume (Le Labo's Noir 29), and introduced me to the Black Chamomile Aromatherapy line. Since dark, musky, and sweet is right up my alley, I fell in love with this specific scent. Thanks to that SA, I scout my emails like a fiend waiting for the aromatherapy sales so I can stock up on a dozen lotions and hand washes. Also, the ladies here are very sweet and always let me know when a sale is going on, coming up, or what offers I have or should redeem. I also love this B&BW because it's a stand-alone location that's not in some annoying, overcrowded mall. Sometimes the line is extremely long during sales, but it is what it is. Terrible products but even worse customer service. I had been buying scented lotion for years from Bath & Body Works and decided to try their plug-in air freshener. The air freshener leaked and destroyed My walls. I brought the item back to return and they said that I had used it upside down so I purchased more and plugged it into the wall correctly. Not only did it manage to destroy my wall, but I had a new item placed on my table on top of a receipt where it destroyed the receipt and my table. I brought the items back and they would not return them because they claimed I didn't have a receipt. Which I did have a receipt but their product destroyed it and they told me that they were not allowed to take the time to make a phone call regarding my matter that I would have to call 1- 800 number, I asked to speak to a manager and the manager was too busy. On my way out I saw the manager (Leanna) stocking soaps, which I guess was more important than speaking with me. They lost a long time customer and I will be sure to tell everyone never to purchase these products from Bath & Body. I called the one 800 number twice and was placed On hold so long that it just wasn't worth it at that point. Not only do I own my own company, but also worked retail for over 20 years and never in my life have I seen Customer Service gone so badly as I have currently in the retail sector. read more

Sad to only give this location 3 stars... I have been a 25+ yr customer from San Diego to Dubai and everywhere in between. Was surprised by the less than welcoming reception at this very quiet, slow, empty store. I was on vacation and couldn't miss the great BOGO sale on candles, so left my hotel specifically for this. Was basically ignored the entire time I was there. They put my candles in a bag without even wrapping them so there was a risk of them breaking, and even though they were conducting a gift box with candle purchase, they neither told me about it OR put them in my bag. Bottom line is B&B is an amazing store but I was VERY disappointed with this particular location!!! If only one thing I mentioned had happened, I would not have written such a negative review but three issues is too many to ignore. read more

I've gone into this chain of store a few times in the past to get lip balms & glosses, but never did a full shopping trip. You can really do some damage in a place like this, so I had to control myself a little, lol. I had a 20% off coupon that expired today, so I thought, "I haven't done anything for myself in a long time so what the heck, why not?". I was greeted by Amanda about 2 minutes after walking in. Very sweet & knowledgable girl. Katherine also gave me suggestions with the hand care line & was nice as well. Picture speaks for itself. Without the 20% discount, I was in the hole over $80, but my total came to $67.82 after taxes. As you can also see, I went home with the "Try Me" example bottle of the Wild Honeysuckle by mistake. What confused me is that I didn't notice it until I got home, but it's a big red sticker on the front, so how did the girl who rang me up not notice it either?? So I called them after getting home & a girl named Tiffany (?) answered. I told her about the mix up & asked if she could please put a regular bottle aside & I would try to come by the next day to give them this one back. She seemed pretty annoyed with me & after telling her, "great thanks!", I didn't hear her hang up but made some off hand comment to whoever was behind the register with her. Until after adding up several rewards which are valued at $16.00 or under, I wanted to purchase something worth 18.00 and pay the difference, No! You can't do that, then it's not really a reward. And it's not really worth $16.00. I returned the items I had purchased which was close to $90.00. And they can keep their pretend rewards system. They lost a $90.00 sale for $2.00. I love this B&BW. I hate having to schlep all the way over to the Westminster Mall and frankly, this store is way more friendly and amazingly, less pretentious than you would think, given this area (yes, I live close to this area in the "Silicone Gulch" where Roomie and I are forever amazed by the flock of Seacliff Stepford Housewives. The staff is SO amazingly nice. There is one guy that works there (I HATE that I forget his name! I even looked on my receipt to see if it was printed there) that is SO amazingly nice, friendly and chatty but not in an annoying way. I love it when he's at the register and ringing up my order. He's honest with his opinions, listens to what you say you like and makes GREAT recommendations accordingly, and not in that, "Hey, if I tell her about this maybe she'll buy MORE!" kind of way. My trip was a success. I'm weird about scents I wear. I have absolutely NO desire to smell like a cookie, a flower or a piece of fruit. Therefore, my options have always been somewhat limited since scents like Cotton Blossom, Citrus Basil and the Crystal Water series all get discontinued. Am I the only one who likes these scents?? I typically walk in and buy my Sea Island Cotton (closest I could find to the fresh, clean smell I like) and walk out. Low and behold I found three other scents I actually liked in addition to my standard!!! I picked them all up, purchased them from my buddy at the register and left smelling like a French Whore given all the different tester scents I had on me by that time. Bottom line, great store, great staff and I'm going to try "Paris" next time for sure, solely based on the recommendation of my favorite sales guy! read more

Visited here on Black Friday and the experience was better than I expected! They're having a pretty good deal.. Buy 3, get 3 free! I love their 3-wick candles.. they're pretty and fragrant. They also have beautiful candle holders and a variety of beauty products. Parking was tough of course.. but on normal days, the definitely have ample parking. Plaza is easy to navigate through and they're next to food spots and a BofA. Most importantly, their employees are nice, helpful and friendly. Can't underestimate the importance of good customer service! And this beats going to the mall. read more

I love that stores are popping up outside of the mall because the mall SUCKS! It's easy to go into a center and the store is right there! I hate having to rummage through the mall for 1 store and having to go off on someone! This was flawless and the staff was so nice! Me and my mom are big soap and candle addicts from B&BW so whenever they have a sale we are there! The minute we came in we were greeted, and the staff was friendly from beginning to end. The selection is insane! Tons of products but easy to navigate through while having employees accessible to the customers. I was able to ask an employee about their aromatherapy products for sleeping to treat my insomnia and she was able to give me a legitimate answer instead of the usual "deer in headlights" look. We were in and out in less than 20 minutes and will definitely come back to this location whenever we're in HB! HB.. another reason to win Lotto so we can move here! ^_^ read more

I LOVE Bath and Body works, and I've been shopping there for ages. I tend to buy a lot online because they have really great sales & usually free shipping with certain amounts of purchase. There Wallflowers are great, especially the Odor Eliminator scent if you have a cat box. That being said, I went to the B&BW in Huntington Beach today, and OMG!!!! There were two customers in the store, and in the middle of summer, I doubt you get 100's of people in a day, so WHY do you need FIVE blonde, bubbly sales girls wandering around? The problem is, every time you go near one, they jump on you and ask if they can help you find anything. I started with "no thank you, I'm just looking." Then another one and another one and another one. Then the original one came over and asked if I was STILL doing okay. By this time, I was saying "YES" through gritted teeth, still trying to be friendly. After the 10th, "how are we doing over here," (and I am NOT exaggerating - my daughter was actively avoiding them at this point) I finally said, "I am doing fine. I have been asked that at least nine times now, and it hasn't changed. Please leave me alone and let me shop." The girl look flabbergasted and said, "oh, I'm so sorry, I didn't know." How could they not know? The store isn't that big, and they say it so loud and high-pitched, people at the Old Navy eight stores down could hear it! Someone at the corporate level needs to have a SERIOUS talk with the manager of this store about their employees pestering people constantly. When my daughter and I finally did check out (and bought far less than I would have otherwise because I was so annoyed), the girl at the register was downright rude. I guess the other one spread the word that I was a "bitch" for having told her to please stop bothering me. So all the way up on the annoying knob or down at bitchy rude are the only two speeds these bimbos run on? I'll buy online from now on. I LOVE Bath and Body Works. Today I went in for a sale they were having and all the workers were friendly. I got all I needed, plus a little more. I was really surprised at how nice everyone was because usually in other stores I've been too, the workers say hi and that's it. But today I was helped when I needed it and checkout was a breeze. The store is spacious and everything is easy to find. Parking is everywhere and easy to find but I can see how on Sunday's it'll be busy since Trader Joes is so close. super close to the house, conveniently located within the five points plaza, and super yummy smelling. i honestly only go to this place when they have the 3 for 3, and the 4 for 15 on the hand soaps. i go in and stock up during this time which usually lasts me until the next sale. if you care for the other non-signature scents then you'll have to fork over a bit more money, but i'm perfectly fine with the normal stuff. i've got an entire basketful in the closet ready for use as we speak! read more

I love bath & body works! In addition, the staff is always amazing! I've signed up online for events/ sales. They always send 20% off coupons, which I love. I typically go every time they have semi annual sales (a lot of items are 75% off), I also go on candle sales! They're sometimes $10 each, or they'll do 2 candles/ for the price of one. They have tons of different scents! You'll always find one. The candles last a long time, and the scent wanders aimlessly throughout the home, not just the one room. I also use their body wash as a bubble bath, it works just as well. I highly recommend; however, I only go to sales! read more
