A week later I call asking where it was, they said actually it would be 2 weeks and they forgot to call to tell me. 3 weeks in I give them a call and they tell me oh actually it is in now and we forgot to call you again. I go in to get this done and am told to wait 40 minutes in store. I settle in, and am told that actually they can't help me because their new system actually doesn't work with my car. So, I may just be late to the game as I often am but I happened upon this place over a year or more ago. The battery in my car fob died and my experience with fobs and dealerships has been an expensive one. I had chalked it up to a lost claws until I went in here on a fluke and asked if they could replace the battery."Absolutely no problem" they said. They explained that I could buy a battery and be done with it or for a couple bucks more get an extended lifetime warranty. I was hesitant as I did not trust myself to keep paperwork handy, or even need it. Hey assured me that I did not need a receipt with me and they were just look me up in the computer. Fast forward to today when I realized my battery had died. I walked in, and with no questions asked but my name and phone number, I was walking out with a brand new battery! Before I left however, I found out that they also replace fobs and even fix phone shields! I don't think enough people know about the services! If I could rate this store a zero I would. The manager really just doesn't care. I drove almost an hour to get there. Good news was they had the battery I wanted. Bad news was that I required an adapter for one of the terminals. The adapter they had clearly fit loosely and could not have made a good connection. The manager came out and basically said, "that's our adapter, it fits on the terminal, should be good." Even I know enough about electricity to know that you have to have a good connection (not a loose connection). What shocked me the most was how much the manager didn't care. On Wednesday, I made an appointment to bring in my shattered phone screen for Saturday at 330. I received a confirmation email of this appointment on Thursday. I arrived on Saturday at 3:26, and walked up to the desk to start my appointment. The clerk looked at me like I was nuts. "I'm leaving at 3:45, and I'm the only one who can do these screen repairs. I can't do it in time, you'll have to come back tomorrow." I showed him my printed email confirmation, which he refused to even look at. "Yeah, sorry. I have been going to this location for decades for my battery needs, including rebuilding battery packs. Last week I tried to drop one off and the clerk just referred me to the manager who stated Batteries Plus does not rebuild battery packs. I asked when this change occurred and he just yelled at me that this is the way it is and how dare I mention that they formerly rebuilt battery packs in front of other customers. What is the big secret? If corporate issues a mandate that no more battery packs are allowed to be serviced then why is he getting upset in front of other customers? If I had a spot welder I could do my packs myself and I never had problems with the ones they rebuilt for me. I just don't expect to get yelled at for asking why they no longer provide a valuable service. read more

I've been coming here for hard to find batteries: watch, lawn tools, electronics in the house. I'm sold on the 'free watch battery ' for lifetime deal. Cheapest I found elsewhere was 69.99 but batteries plus offers 6 month warranty on parts and service at any location. Best I found elsewhere was 3 months. My cell phone battery was dying of old age. Looked on the internet and found it selling for $6 or $7 plus S&H. But I needed one NOW. Phoned around and this was the only store with the battery in stock. For $39.99! Ouch! So I went in. The guy said let's see if it fits. He ripped it out of the package and handed me the new battery. It fit. The phone started. Ok. The guy said it has a one year warrantee. I walked out with the battery (and my old one which is on the last legs but not quite dead and a receipt. No package. I went online and made an appointment to fix a phone during lunch time. I specifically said I would like to wait for the phone and take it and go back to work. When I arrived, the store manager "Jay" said it would take 1 hour and a half. I told him I had made an appointment and I said I would not leave my phone. He said he could not control the flow of business and there were only 2 people in the store. If making appointments early is not a way to plan, what is it? Very unprofessional. Wife calls, they say they have a battery, brings phone (s5) in to get battery replaced and the shatter the back cover. They say new cover will be here Monday and can't replace battery till new cover comes in. Monday rolls around and imagine that, the cover was never ordered. Tuesday rolls around and still no cover. Today Wednesday oh we won't get it to tomorrow and no we can't put new battery in without new cover. These guys are frickin idiots! Customer service sucks! Took in my iPhone 7 with a shattered screen. Apple said the phone damage needed a full replacement due to a bent frame. They wanted to charge me $350 to replace. Batteries Plus gave me an appointment an hr after I called and the repair took about an hr and a half. For $130 it was good as new. read more

Purchased a tractor battery used it only for a month, it died after one month of use, it will not hold the charge, took it back to the store, they ran a test and figured out that it doesn't hold the charge as per SONIA the battery is defective. But they will not honor the warranty they said that it was not kept properly, a scam way to get out of the warranty, I don't know how would you use a car battery properly?! they just give you the run around so they don't have to replace it. My wife and i went into the store on Dec 4, 2018 to get watch batteries. We always get lifetime batteries. We had at least 3 watches each. First problem we had with them is they said one watch wasn't in their system and did not qualify as a life time battery. Then had in their system. They printed out the list and the watches in question were there. One was a coach watch and the previous salesman listed it as a tan band but the sales person saw it as a brown band. Thatbwas ridiculous. So I asked why don't you use the model numbers on each watch? Got no answer. The salesman tried to replace the battery on another watch and in doing so broke the stem on the watch. They had to send the watch off for repair we had to leave it. I am nervous about the professionalism of this store. I don't believe they have a system that protects the customer when purchasing lifetime batteries. We have been coming to this store since it opened and almost all of our watches have lifetime batteries and in the beginning there was just a general description of the watches and some descriptions are just of the band itself and NOT the actual watch. If you use this location and purchase a lifetime battery you should describe your watch and not depend on the description the salesman may use, especially the color of the band. Some people call tan, brown etc. What ever happened to customer service with retailers? So i see why millinials use Amazon and the internet for services. You retail outlets are putting yourselves out of business and out of jobs for people in the future. If you take the job do the job to the best of your ability. One of the salesmen acted like we were trying to get away with more than we paid for. They offered the lifetime battery and we PAID for the lifetime warranty. Describing a band is a terrible way to describe our watch because it's a tan leather band and we could switch to a different band later in the future if the band wears out before the watch and if we take the watch back after the battery wears out its still the same watch and that could happen to any watch. The band wears out and is replaced in the future. But our warranty goes on the watch not the band. Maybe it won't if I believe what Batteries Plus says. One star is all they deserve. I made an online appointment to have my iPhone cracked screen replaced. I showed up at the appointment to be told that the person who does this work was ill and wouldn't be in for another hour. I could leave the phone and come back in 4+ hours. I left work to do this over my lunch hour and was so disappointed. I asked the one person working why they would have accepted an appointment if the only person who could help me wasn't in? This time they charged me $17.23 with tax - for a "lifetime battery replacement". I told them I only wanted the old deal for $8.00. They said they only do lifetime replacements for Timex watches.
