Had my appointment today with hygienist Glenn Anton. Very quick, gentle and painless cleaning . I was asked to let Glenn know the minute I feel a discomfort , and since I do have very sensitive teeth I was expecting it any second , but I really didn't experience any discomfort at all . This is my second cleaning with Glenn and both times I was more than satisfied with the service . I also saw dr Calvin Pae today to finish the last step of my implant - installing the crown . Appointment went fast and painless as well . I have seen Dr Yoo and Dr Fabrikant before for various dental procedures and never had any issues with any of them . Dr. Yoo did a great job performing my dental implant surgery . He saved me a lot of headache and time and money when he was able to insert an upper tooth implant without damaging or even disturbing my sinuses ( this is usually the case in most of the upper teeth implants ) and I have a deviated septum and sinuses are my weak places . Very shady Russian shop. I was hesitant to use them but since the location is very convenient for me, I gave it a try. Where do they find their dentists?! They are all rookies and unsure of what they are doing. I'm not even sure if it was a qualified dentist working on my teeth or just an intern. I read lots of positive reviews before I decided to go with them. Now that I re-read them, I'm positive they are fake. As soon as you see a negative review, the owner responds with "We couldn't find your records...". Right after that a slew of new 5-star reviews are generated. I go here for checkups, cleanings and other consultations as needed. The entire staff is very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. The office is also kept extremely clean and they even play music in all the rooms! One thing that they're also great at is following up with their clients and checking in on them periodically so you are never caught off guard with an upcoming appointment. I've been recommended to this place and it truly met my every need. The staff are so nice, helpful and skilled. Even when my last visit was a emergency they totally took such GOOD care of me. They calmed me down, reassured me, fixed the problem and had me out with in half an hour. Having a healthy, clean and white smile is important to me as I'm sure is to you. I can't say enough good things about BPDG. I have been a patient there since 2017 and I will be for years to come. I've had just about every treatment available , from routine cleanings and fillings to Invisalign and Zoom Whitening. Terrible place, stay away! They asked me to pre-pay with my credit card, then they added extra charges behind my back when they submitted claims to my insurance company. My insurance company declined the extra charge, then I ended up paying for something they didn't tell me about. Besides, they won't refund you promptly after they get reimbursement from your insurance. I had to call multiple times to get the refund. I don't have an issue with their dentists, but the way they bill is absolutely shady! read more

I live locally and have been going to Battery Park Dental Group for the last few years. A few cavities and caps later, I can say that these folks are fantastic. Extremely friendly, they take the time to explain what and why I need certain procedures; and never make me feel rushed. People also forget how important the dental hygienist is for overall oral health; and they have a great and thorough staff (I get a cleaning at least twice a year). Also -- they are also extremely flexible when I need to change appointment times (even at the last minute) which is incredibly important to me given my unpredictable schedule. The friendly tone at the office is driven by Roxanne -- a truly great office manager. She always has a smiley face; and works with you for whatever you need. As far as the dentist and patient experience goes - A+! I've had excellent care and a successful root canal and wisdom tooth extractions here. Everything has been pain-free and professional. However, with both surgery procedures, I have felt deceived. The receptionists have sworn to me beforehand that my insurance will cover it, it will all be fine, and in both cases, I have ended up paying for them out of pocket - months later. As a young professional still trying to figure out how insurance works and make it on my own in NYC, this has been upsetting. Looking back, it seems as if I was rushed into the procedures and that perhaps they knew I would be a moneymaker. Unfortunate, and lesson learned. read more

I went it for a cleaning. They sold me a toothbrush that was supposed to have features that it didn't have. When I went to return it after I found out (about 30 minutes after I bought it) they didn't let me with the excuse they were going to get me tots rush they promised. And they told me they would give me $$ back for it if they didn't, but I never got either of those. Extremely disappointed. On top of that, as soon as I got home found out amazon sells the same toothbrush for $60 less. They cared more about making a profit as Phillips Sonicare sales people than anything. Never returning. My experience was bar none from beginning to the end of my visit... greeted with a warm reception that immediately put me at ease throughout the whole procedure which was done gently and at my comfort level as my technician checked in with me throughout to explain what was happening and asking how I was doing. i want to thank Dr. Yoo and staff of Battery Park Dentistry. I came to Dr. Yoo because my implant started moving. As it turned out, it was failing. Dr. Yoo did amazing job removing it, adding bone and later placing new implant. The whole process was painless and I can't say enough about helpful staff, specifically, Ian who was putting my mind at ease by joking around and generally distracting me from the process. This place is awful please save yourself and do not go here. I waited 1hr to be seen. They couldn't even do a proper cleaning and took another hr for! They couldn't work the machines or computer. They forced me to do xrays after i already refused but insisted but the machine didnt work anyways and i had been there for over 2 hrs!! Then i get the bill... These shady ppl charged for services i never had done. I never saw the dentist's face once yet they put down some dentist not even part of my network!! I switched over to Battery Park Dentist because I brought my 14 month old son for his first cleaning and exam and I was very please with the experience. The doctors seemed great and the front desk folks were pleasant and knowledgeable. They also clear up any insurance questions or expected payments due upfront so you know what you're walking into. My experience was great overall. Dr. was nice during exam and was minimalistic in her approach- telling me the areas she was concerned with but only recommending treatment for the most concerning. The hygienist was very nice and thorough in her cleaning. She also gave me some great tips, like alternating mouth washes. Overall great first experience. read more

I was very disappointed with the false advertisement. Saw an ad on their website for Invisalign and free whitening and when I went to the office they quoted me a different amount and wanted to charge me for whitening. They didn't tell me the price until after I went a few times to get x-rays and cleaning which they claimed needed to be done prior to getting the Invisalign. They also said that I needed to have these all done in order to get the discount before the year ended. And when the actual process of getting the impression for Invisalign they quoted me a price which was not what they had on the advertisement. I went there for a teeth cleaning in Jan and was told that I needed fill-ins. I consulted with the front desk how much would it be, they told me it would be $30-$50 after insurance. Walked in on the day of... was advised that the actual cost is going to be $110... Since my first cleaning was fully covered, I was scheduled for another cleaning 3 months after and advised it would be covered as well. After misinforming me about my insurance coverage and was only told right before the cleaning that this time it would be $150 because insurance only covers every 6 months for cleaning... After advising them I won't be taking this service today, they said they will remind me in 6 months, to which I said no thanks... I'm definitely looking for another dentist in the area that won't scam me by giving me last minute FYIs on the cost. read more
