Fireeeee! What I got the Hyderabadi Goat Dum Biryani in mild spice. Mild was enough to send my head on fire! The food came out very very very hot! It was steaming! I love how fluffy the rice was. At first I was surprised with the top layer being just white rice but I guess that's the style or it is to help me tone down the spiciness... either way I appreciated it cause I was able to mix in the white rice. The meat was very tender and flavorful. This was a good portion and had a decent amount of meat. I like the presentation of the water in the bottle but not so fond that there was no ice.. tasted weird.. Environment This is located in a plaza and there are plenty of parking outside and seating inside as well. They seat you and you order. I had to make my payment at the counter. I have limited experience with Indian food but liked the Dosa very much. Came at lunchtime on a Thursday. First asked about tandoori chicken and they said no Tandoori available as it takes a long time to make. Them ordered dosa and again the waitress said she would have to ask the cook because of the time required. We're visiting Orlando from California and came across this gem on Yelp while looking for something kid-friendly. I called ahead to ask if they could make the food non-spicy for my kids, and Ms. Keerthi was incredibly kind and accommodating. She even went the extra mile to speak with the chef and customize our order. She recommended the Veg Keema Biryani, and WOW--it was absolutely delicious! Flavorful, fresh, and the portion size was generous. To top it off, since I mentioned we were ordering from a hotel, she thoughtfully included paper plates and cutlery without me even asking. Unable to give 3.5 stars. Food was good - flavorful and good size portions. The water for the table tasted off. Maybe it needs to be filtered? If filtered, maybe time to change the cartridge. Be warned, when they clean the tables, they overpower the area around the table with a strong smelling cleaning agent i.e. a mini fumigation. I informed mgmt. Visited this restaurant with some friends after a theme park day. The restaurant was nicely decorated and very clean. The waitress was very nice and asking the chef. What items had dairy inside and what items did not. We did not get to take any photos because we had two toddlers with us, and we were just Trying to feed them. We ordered mango lassi, dosa's, lamb, biryani, Gobi Manchurian, and two different types of chicken and naanbread. I did ask for the Gobi Manchurian to be mild, but it was really spicy. It still had great flavor, though! I also ordered the Hakka noodles, and I asked for that to be mild, it had zero flavor. They put the sauce in the side. I don't think they know what mild is and they have no smiles to offer either. The one lady at check out was very sweet though and brought us our key we left at the table. I took off a couple of stars, because there was no music in there. It was completely quiet, and you could only hear the other diners, and they sat us at the back near the restrooms. I do not want to see people going in and out of the restrooms, while I am eating my food. They should put a curtain or something there. Also, they gave us water in a carafe with red solo cups. I was wondering where the tailgate was! Everything else was pretty spicy I heard but the flavors were good. If you're in the area and want some spicyyyyyyy food, stop here. They had a nice variety of small cake slices at the front. I was not able to try any because I am non-dairy, but everyone else bought one of each and they said it was moist and delicious! I believe it was five dollars a piece, which I think is pretty steep for such a small piece, but they all said it was delicious. I've had this before from leftovers my bf brought back and enjoyed the lamb biryani! Even after being reheated it tasted pretty good. Then we came back to dine in again. We got the chili paneer, butter chicken, lamb tikka masala, and kadai paneer, and an order of samosas. My favorite dish was definitely the lamb tikka masala! Even tho I'm not a huge fan of lamb, it tasted so savory and flavorful and the meat was melting into the sauce. The butter chicken also amazed me and had a depth of flavor that I've never tasted from Indian restaurants in east Orlando. My kadai paneer had a nice spice to it, but the oil kinda overpowered things and I'd also get bites of whole spices which threw me off. I enjoyed it just be prepared for some grease. Also would recommend the chili paneer just to share, though honestly just the main dishes are filling. Everything you see here was around $100 without tip. Indian food in my opinion is notoriously expensive for the portions so not super surprising but wish we got a little bigger portions. I gave 4 stars bc even tho we enjoyed the food the service was quite slow and inattentive despite the restaurant, which means be prepared to wait for checkout. Samosa Chaat is one of my favorites from this location The biryanis are always a good choice They are located on international drive, in a smaller shopping center so plenty of Peking available. They are closed in Tuesday This place is clean from the glass in the door to the bathrooms. It is clean! They offer a smaller kids menu! They do have a room for private events. Came to dinner with 26 people and the restaurant handled the crowd so well!! The decorations are a bit less than expected, which is really the only negative, if that is truly a negative comment. MORE importantly, the food! We were sharing and family style eating, so I don't have any pictures to share. I can say that the butter chicken was delicious, the chicken tikki masala was tasty and the biryani that we tried- 2 types were equally delicious. We tried a breaded and fried cauliflower that was spicy (to my American palate) but oh so good. I highly recommend the mango yogurt "smoothie" to make the spicy a bit easier on your tastebuds! The service was fast for the size of our group and friendly. We had several flavors of naan- all flavorful! Our hunt for delicious Indian food in Orlando continues. Someone I know recommended Bawarchi Biryani, so I was extremely excited to try their biryanis. The good: 1. We ordered chicken Hakka noodles for our two toddlers, and they both thoroughly enjoyed it. The portion was generous, and it was packed with crispy chicken, which our girls loved. 2. The 70 mm dosa was a sight to behold! It was crispy and delicious, and the chutneys and sambar that came with it were so good. 3. For our friend, we ordered chicken tikka masala, samosas, garlic naan, and goat biryani to go. We had ordered the food spicy. He said the food was not spicy but liked the taste of chicken tikka masala, samosas, and garlic naan. The bad: For a restaurant to have biryani in their name, we were expecting delicious biryani, but sadly that was not the case here. 1. Chicken biryani didn't have the authentic biryani taste or flavor. It came with two pieces of chicken that were dry. The whole dish in itself was tasteless. We were highly disappointed. 2. Goat biryani - We had taken goat biryani for our friend and the food mentioned above. My husband asked him his honest opinion about the dinner we brought him, and he said that the goat biryani was very dry, which we could relate to as that was the same case with our biryani 3. The service here was far from exceptional or even satisfactory, apparently this location needs a course in customer service. My boyfriend and I walked into this restaurant with two moody young female workers who were far from happy to see us in their restaurant. But obviously we didn't come for them, we came for the food. But of course first impressions are everything. The restaurant was far from busy and we waited 20 min before they even brought us a cup of water and it was warm. Who goes to a restaurant for a cup of warm water unless of course you're getting tea. I must have asked 4-5 times politely for lemon, nobody brought it. The garlic on the naan was raw, not cooked like how it's supposed to be. The biryani was ok, not as good as it could have been. The Galub Jamun tasted old. Overall poor service, felt like because we're white and not of the Indian culture, they treated us like garbage. I've been to higher end Indian restaurants that treated us very well. This restaurant needs to be reminded that you are in Orlando, Florida which is in the United States so of course you'll be getting non-Indian people wanting to spend their hard earned money on your food. This is a very racist restaurant, if you're going to be that way that you should keep your restaurant in your own country. My boyfriend and I were better off going to the drive through at McDonald's, we would have been treated a whole lot better. The service is slow as can be especially if you're not an Indian customer then it's double slow and the ambiance is too bright. We're classy people, so we still tipped and we're polite, but they're lucky that we are because if it was someone else they would have walked out. Incredible Indian food in the heart of international drive! Food was delicious, hot and fresh, unlike other restaurants that reheat old food. Service was friendly and quick. Restaurant is very clean and able to accommodate larger parties (family of 8 plus a wheelchair). Too hungry to take pictures of everything we ate but the samosa chaat was phenomenal. Garlic naan, roti, onion pakora, egg biryani, goat biryani, mango lassi, kulfi, chai, chicken tikka, dal, and other menu items that I'm forgetting. My family had a feast at our table and we ate every single bite! Each menu item was so delicious, I stuffed my face even though I was full. Nothing was too spicy but we asked for extra plain yogurt for the kids. Wait staff is very patient, kind, and accommodating. Really loved our Easter Sunday meal here with family. Portions are huge so we had plenty to take home as well. We enjoyed two different biriyani and the staff were friendly and helpful to navigate us through the different choices we were unfamiliar with. It turns out most Indian establishments in Orlando are closed between 230pm and 5pm. We were looking for some Indian food that was open around 3pm and this ended up being one of the few places open at this odd eating hour. Boy are we glad we ended up here. There were 2-3 Indian families also eating at the same time we were. Food is amazing all around and our server took great care in making sure his fingers were not sticking into our curries while he served us. We tried the masala dosa, mango lassi, butter chicken, vegetable curry and chicken biryani. Their main dishes all have a hint of spicy heat, even when the menu didn't specifically indicate spicy. So if you are someone who is sensitive to heat I would point it out to the server. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend any of the dishes we tried. Goat was tender, gravy was rich. This can be paired with Naan or rice. Eirher way the curry flavor comes out. Chicken 65. Popcorn like chicken appetizer. It is well marinated and cooked thoroughly. Spices actually diffused deep into the boneless chicken pieces. (+1) Goat Dum Biriyani $14.99 was very delicious. Mix it with Raita, Salan or choice of curry yet it retains its taste. The basmati, spice, onion, meat combination makes this the true King of all dishes known to man :) Atleast, according to me. (+2) Ulavachaaru chicken Dum ka Biriyani $13.99. It tasted like a normal Biriyani. Butter naan ($2.49) and Batura ($2.99) were OK. Batura was not flaky is not oily at all. We prefer it this way as Ian can treat it as a finger food. Portions are very generous. Each dish can be shared with your table mates. I highly recommend this restaurant for Desis and non Desis alike. Get Gongura Goat & Goat Dum Ka Biriyani. Visited Bawarchi while traveling to Orlando. Ordered Bawarchi Tandoori mix grill and chicken biryani. The mix grill included Tandoori chicken, Malai kebab, Chicken Tikka kebab. We ordered spicy per our taste. Tandoori chicken had a good marination to it, malai and chicken tikka were flavorful too. Biryani had generous spice and flavor which my spouse and I totally enjoyed. Sufficient quantities that we packed to-go for our journeys ahead. Service was courteous, the owner kept following up with any updates. The owner served a sweet made of rice which was warm and yummy. The owner was very helpful with suggesting what foods on the menu that was lactose free he also asked the cook to double check. Everything we had was delicious. My husband doesn't particularly like spicy hot kinds of foods. His egg plant curry was spicy but he didn't know that when he ordered it, he tried eating it but he couldn't eat much of it, the owner suggested he add yoghurt to tone down the spiciness. My husband is not lactose intolerant and agreed to try it, so the owner came out with some plain yogurt for him to add in his curry.
