I've had this before from leftovers my bf brought back and enjoyed the lamb biryani! Even after being reheated it tasted pretty good. Then we came back to dine in again. We got the chili paneer, butter chicken, lamb tikka masala, and kadai paneer, and an order of samosas. My favorite dish was definitely the lamb tikka masala! Even tho I'm not a huge fan of lamb, it tasted so savory and flavorful and the meat was melting into the sauce. The butter chicken also amazed me and had a depth of flavor that I've never tasted from Indian restaurants in east Orlando. My kadai paneer had a nice spice to it, but the oil kinda overpowered things and I'd also get bites of whole spices which threw me off. I enjoyed it just be prepared for some grease. Also would recommend the chili paneer just to share, though honestly just the main dishes are filling. Everything you see here was around $100 without tip. Indian food in my opinion is notoriously expensive for the portions so not super surprising but wish we got a little bigger portions. I gave 4 stars bc even tho we enjoyed the food the service was quite slow and inattentive despite the restaurant, which means be prepared to wait for checkout. Oh and cups were also plastic red solo cups ??? Seemed odd for an decently priced and nicely decorated place.

    Very welcoming decor.

Great atmosphere. Very quiet at lunch time on a Wednesday but quiet is good for us. Modern decor. Food was great, even the lunch servings were more than enough to fill me. We ordered the Mutton Biryani and Boneless Chicken Biryani combos which were served with raita, chicken curry, Naan, and another chicken appetizer. The chicken curry was my favorite but all were good. I have tried this chain before however this location is much better than our home location.

The food is no longer what it used to be. We went for lunch on a weekday. We were the only one for dine in for the entire lunch window. Can't speak to service as we were the only ones and ambiance is fine.

Veg review - Thank you for the amazing service. The veg paneer tikka biryani is very tasty, we ordered three times in three days. Loved it to bits. But, it's very costly which pains us a lot so 1 mark less I gVe otherwise the taste is great. Usually Biryani (Veg) shouldn't be as pricey as for Non-veg, As there's no meat. $17 for a biryani box for one person isn't justified. But, must try for good taste. Incase you don't find any good Indian restaurants near you in this location, Bawarchi biryani is great with vegetarian food also! Go for it Reviews for my veg friends

Our hunt for delicious Indian food in Orlando continues. Someone I know recommended Bawarchi Biryani, so I was extremely excited to try their biryanis. The good: 1. We ordered chicken Hakka noodles for our two toddlers, and they both thoroughly enjoyed it. The portion was generous, and it was packed with crispy chicken, which our girls loved. 2. The 70 mm dosa was a sight to behold! It was crispy and delicious, and the chutneys and sambar that came with it were so good. 3. For our friend, we ordered chicken tikka masala, samosas, garlic naan, and goat biryani to go. We had ordered the food spicy. He said the food was not spicy but liked the taste of chicken tikka masala, samosas, and garlic naan. The bad: For a restaurant to have biryani in their name, we were expecting delicious biryani, but sadly that was not the case here. 1. Chicken biryani didn't have the authentic biryani taste or flavor. It came with two pieces of chicken that were dry. The whole dish in itself was tasteless. We were highly disappointed. 2. Goat biryani - We had taken goat biryani for our friend and the food mentioned above. My husband asked him his honest opinion about the dinner we brought him, and he said that the goat biryani was very dry, which we could relate to as that was the same case with our biryani 3. Service - Service was nonexistent. Anything we needed, my husband had to get up and flag someone down. Not once did anyone come to check on us. For a restaurant to have Biryani in their name and disappoint in their biryani is a shame.

The service here was far from exceptional or even satisfactory, apparently this location needs a course in customer service. My boyfriend and I walked into this restaurant with two moody young female workers who were far from happy to see us in their restaurant. But obviously we didn't come for them, we came for the food. But of course first impressions are everything. The restaurant was far from busy and we waited 20 min before they even brought us a cup of water and it was warm. Who goes to a restaurant for a cup of warm water unless of course you're getting tea. I must have asked 4-5 times politely for lemon, nobody brought it. The garlic on the naan was raw, not cooked like how it's supposed to be. The biryani was ok, not as good as it could have been. The Galub Jamun tasted old. Overall poor service, felt like because we're white and not of the Indian culture, they treated us like garbage. I've been to higher end Indian restaurants that treated us very well. This restaurant needs to be reminded that you are in Orlando, Florida which is in the United States so of course you'll be getting non-Indian people wanting to spend their hard earned money on your food. This is a very racist restaurant, if you're going to be that way that you should keep your restaurant in your own country. My boyfriend and I were better off going to the drive through at McDonald's, we would have been treated a whole lot better. The service is slow as can be especially if you're not an Indian customer then it's double slow and the ambiance is too bright. We're classy people, so we still tipped and we're polite, but they're lucky that we are because if it was someone else they would have walked out. But of course what comes around goes around and kal ho naa ho. Treat people how you want to be treated.

Incredible Indian food in the heart of international drive! Food was delicious, hot and fresh, unlike other restaurants that reheat old food. Service was friendly and quick. Restaurant is very clean and able to accommodate larger parties (family of 8 plus a wheelchair). Too hungry to take pictures of everything we ate but the samosa chaat was phenomenal. Garlic naan, roti, onion pakora, egg biryani, goat biryani, mango lassi, kulfi, chai, chicken tikka, dal, and other menu items that I'm forgetting. My family had a feast at our table and we ate every single bite! Each menu item was so delicious, I stuffed my face even though I was full. Nothing was too spicy but we asked for extra plain yogurt for the kids. Wait staff is very patient, kind, and accommodating. I will 100% be returning for more samosa chaat and to try new menu items!

Chicken Massala, basmati rice and Samosa. With naan.

I had high hopes walking into Saffron Indian Cuisine on 7724 West Sand Lake Road, Orlando FL…read more especially arriving right at 11:30 a.m. on a Sunday when the doors opened. Unfortunately, the experience didn't quite live up to expectations. My wife chose the buffet, assuming everything would be freshly prepared at opening time. To our surprise, every single item on the buffet line was cold -- from the rice and chicken dishes to the biryani and palak paneer. If a restaurant opens at 11:30, the food should be hot and ready to serve. Cold curries and rice immediately take away from both texture and flavor, and in this case, the dishes tasted flat and lacked the depth of spices you expect from Indian cuisine. Based on this visit, I would recommend skipping the buffet and ordering from the regular menu instead. Buffet selections often feel like the more economical options, and here they were devoid of the bold flavors that make Indian food so memorable. I ordered the chicken biryani from the à la carte menu. It was noticeably better -- aromatic and more flavorful than the buffet items. However, it still missed an important element. Traditionally, biryani is prepared by marinating the chicken and cooking it together with the rice so the spices infuse the meat and every bite is cohesive. In this case, while the rice carried some fragrance, the chicken itself was not well marinated and tasted bland on its own. It felt more assembled than thoughtfully cooked together. Another important point is pricing. The dishes are on the expensive side, and at those prices, the flavors and overall quality should be excellent. When you're paying premium prices, you expect depth of seasoning, proper preparation, and attention to detail -- not cold buffet trays or under-marinated meat. Service was the bright spot of the visit. The staff was friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout our meal. Overall, not a terrible experience, but certainly disappointing. With better attention to temperature, flavor development, and consistency, this place could justify its pricing -- but on this visit, it fell short.

My friend's young daughter is trying to do vegan, and my friend has a tree nut allergy AND eats gluten-free, and they can accommodate ALL OF THAT! Yay! I have never seen so many restaurants with two/hybrid/fusion menus as I have in Orlando! We got Hakka Noodles, Pani Puri, Masala Dosa, Palak Paneer & Chai. Pani Puri came assembled already and in a cute little wagon. Everything tasted amazing!! Tasted fresh-made with fresh ground spices & tasty ingredients. The pakora was fried perfectly and had the right amount of spices, making it so flavorful and addicting that my mom enjoyed it so much. The meat area had Chicken Tikka Masala, Cashew Chicken, Goat Biryani, and Tandoori Chicken. All were wonderful. The biryani had nice pieces of goat, but most of them had bones. The the goat was tender and flavorful from being with the bones. The cashew chicken was good, but also had bones. The chicken tikka was boneless and the chicken was soft. The sauces were flavorful and medium spiced. The tandoori chicken was cooked nicely, but you did need a knife and fork to cut it. For the vegetarian dishes, the okra and potato were both enjoyable. The paneer dish was a bit too sweet for me, and the vegetable biryani seemed to have golden raisins, which I didn't enjoy. For dessert, I just took the fruit custard, which was mostly just fruit in a mango milk/sauce. It was still delicious! We all agreed that the food was great here for the buffet! The service is good, but can be busy. While our plates got cleared for the first rounds, it did pile up during the second round and dessert. It didn't get cleared until we left. It was ok because we had enough space to eat anyways. I also noticed that relaxing piano music was in the background, so it does help calm the atmosphere in a tourist area. The price increased to about 20 dollars per person, but this is still a great deal. With various types of food to enjoy and unlimited portions til your stuffed, it's an excellent value. We ordered the Dal Maharani, and while our waitress asked about spice level, it felt like she made the decision for us. We enjoy spice, but even the first bite was hotter than we expected, and we barely ate any of it despite it being otherwise flavorful. Toward the end, our waitress asked us to leave a review... and then stood there waiting. When my husband said we were still chatting, she kept circling back to check, which felt pretty pushy. Later, when we requested to-go boxes, she said "there is no rush" and then disappeared. We had to ask again.
