Warning this company has a 3 hour minimum which they don't have on their services page on their website. When I talked to them on the phone I told them my place would only take an hour two at most. The guy said ok just so you know if it does go over like 3-7 hours it can go to 500-700 dollars. I said ok that's fine I really don't think we'll take much longer than an hour two at tops. He said ok, text me the address on the number you called. Day of moving they come put everything in their truck and then show me paperwork to sign that says 3 hour minimum. I told the guy why does it say 3 hour minimum after it took him 30 minutes to load everything. He said we have a 3 hour minimum. Such a trap that they loaded everything then tell you 3 hour minimum. I don't like shady people. The movers were very nice and got the job done in 1 hour and 40 min. I paid for 3 hours. Rip off! DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY if you have a small move. And ask companies what their minimum is. They may be shady like this company and not share the details till your stuff is in their truck. read more

We moved twice with these guys in the last two years, both with and without packing services. Whether it's furniture or smaller items, they wrap/pack everything up well. They are VERY efficient in addition to being reasonably priced. We didn't have any damage either time. I'd definitely use them again. I would definitely recommend use them again. Rhey were very organized. They and their staff kept an even pace and did the job quickly. They left things very neatly when they were done. For preparing my house for sale, I needed to have furniture, etc moved to the garage. They packed and moved everything asked, as well as labeled all the boxes . We recently hired Bay Area Movers for a move of a one-bedroom apartment in Oakland with a sizable clearout of a large and small storage unit in Walnut Creek to a house in Concord. I spoke to Armando twice before the scheduled move and he was patient to answer all of my questions. Due to the amount of items we had in storage, we agreed that four movers and a 26ft truck would be best to ensure a timely move, in what was already going to be an exhausting day. Arrival time on the day of the move was 8am and by 7:40am, the truck was outside waiting, but not coming to our door too early - which we appreciated. We had packed all of our items ourselves, so the movers were moving furniture and packed totes/boxes. The crew was very careful to wrap furniture in a blanket and then in plastic wrap to protect them. They disassembled our frame and headboard and bagged our mattress and box spring (using the bags we provided, though they also have them available). They put down a blanket at the entry way as well to protect the hardwood floors in our apartment. Within 90 minutes, our apartment had been completely cleared out and they were securing everything in the truck for the next pick up destination, where they unloaded a large and small storage unit into the truck. Upon arrival at the house, we all took a short lunch break to refuel with deli sandwiches, chips and drinks before the crew began unloading the truck. After lunch, the crew placed protective plastic throughout the common walkways and our hallway into each room to protect the carpets that had just been cleaned. The crew began filling our garage and home with our furniture and belongings, asking us for guidance about where things needed to go. They unwrapped and placed all of our furniture with no damages. They even put together our bedframe and headboard and helped to wipe the dust off of it, before the box spring and mattress were placed. Having a crew of four really made the move go quickly and was completely worth the price - it would have cost the same but taken twice as long with a crew of two. Speaking of the crew, they were great to work with - working smartly, safely and carefully with our belongings. Concerning Covid, the entire crew was vaccinated and also wore masks. When the truck was empty and everything had been moved in it was 1:15pm - which was fantastic, as we still had half a day to take care of the basics on setting up for the first night in our new home. The price we paid was also very reasonable and worth every penny! We would highly recommend using Bay Area Moving for your future moving needs. read more

He showed up day of in a timely manner and quickly put together a table, bed and BBQ. I am not good at putting things together and he made this stress free for me as he came in and got the job done. I hired Armando to move my furniture and belongings from my one bedroom apartment on the 4th floor in Alameda down to the parking garage so we could load them up on a trailer and two pickup trucks. He arrived with his helper 10 minutes before the scheduled time. Although there is a elevator the mattress and box spring would not fit. They took them down the stairs effortlessly. They worked quickly and efficiently and I was impressed at how well they worked as a team.. i had estimated it would take two to three hours and they did the whole job in a little more then a hour which saved me money as well as the fact nothing was broken or damaged. Do not recommend. It took them 3 times longer than any other moving company I have used and I have used many across the US. This was by far the worst experience. What should have been a 2 hour (3 hours max) job took them 6 hours. Ended up paying close to $700 due to their incompetence. All to unload a truck with the contents of a 1 bedroom apartment. read more
