We saw all the five star reviews. We read the reviews. We trusted they would not pull a bait and switch. Jacob came to our house with a clipboard, saw and noted everything to be moved, He gave us a price of $11,000 to move us to Nebraska. Most other quotes were in the $16,000 range. So far, so good. They showed up at the promised time with a truck too small to get everything. I said to my parter "the truck is too small." About an hour into the process, Jacob advised to to start figuring out what to prioritize and what to leave behind as the truck was too small. Several hours later Jacob said it was "partially" his fault. Yes, he said partially, avoiding full blame since it was part of his scheme. For an additional FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS he would get another truck for us. (And now the cost is up to $16,000. We were in no position other than to agree. This is the game most movers play to extort more money from you. Cut to: We had air tags in some of the boxes on both trucks. With that information in addition to talking to the movers when they arrived, we learned they stopped in Treasure Island and Citrus Heights to take everything out of both trucks and put everything of ours into a huge semi with three other families. Many items and boxes DID NOT get delivered and some glass items were broken. Please see the attached photo to get an idea of how they packed our expensive electric bikes. That alone should scare you away, We contacted Jacob but he ignored is. We called him. So far, several days later, he continues to refuse to take ANY accountability as we have not heard back from him. I do not in any way recommend this company. Jacob and his team moved our family in late 2021, early 2022, and, again, in March 2023. Out of a four bedroom home into a storage unit, out of the storage unit into a three bedroom apartment, and out of the apartment into our new home - all up and down several sets of stairs. He has always been responsive, friendly, and thorough, protecting all of the things as the team played Tetris in and out of the storage unit. Our dining room table top is a solid slab of tree that needs at least three (if not four) strong movers to get upstairs. Two days before the move my husband had a stroke. Jacob reassured me he would handle everything, including sorting through what was to be moved and what was basically garage clutter. On our big moving day, I dropped the ball by locking myself out 20 minutes before Unstoppable Moving was going to arrive. I was definitely panicking as all my plans were scheduled around a successful move on that day. I called my landlord and they asked me to go over to the office if I need to get the spare key, which would take at least an hour for the round trip. Folks from Unstoppable Moving arrived and was informed of the situation. After they confirmed we are indeed the residents, they found a second floor window that was not fully closed. After speaking to a few others, Jacob had one of the most reasonable prices of all the movers in the area. Full disclosure, this was the first time we had ever used movers. From the very get go, Jacob made it very easy and was very reassuring. He was very quick to response from Yelp messaging and made sure to confirm all the details of the move a few weeks before moving day so there were no miscommunications. Fast forward to moving day, Jacob messaged me about 20 minutes prior to the scheduled time that he was on the way. Jacob and his team of 2 other movers showed up prompt, We had scheduled for 8AM and right on the dot. It's not easy navigating downtown SF with a big truck, so I was very impressed. Jacob and his team were very friendly and very thorough, very polite people. The place we were moving out of was on the third floor with only stair access and fairy narrow stairway. The thing that I really appreciate most is that anytime Jacob noticed an issue with something that existed with furniture or within the residence he made sure to pull me over and show me and note if it is something I should look into. The little details he paid attention to were so key but really went a long way as a lot of things can get overlooked on moving day. We moved out a 1 bedroom residence to a 2 bedroom residence that was also on the third level of a building so there were many stairs traveled. Even in our new residence, Jacob called me over and made it a point to make me aware of any preexisting scuffs on the floor or issues he noticed with flooring that I should take up with the property manager. Jacob goes above and beyond and his attention to detail made the experience 5 star. His team always asked questions before they moved something or took furniture apart. Communication was excellent. At the end of the move, the team finished within the exact time range they originally quoted us which was much appreciated as every hour is precious on moving day. Jacob and his team help me to move from San Jose to Fremont. They are sharp on time and very good with moving items. They wrap all the big items with a blanket and try to make the move as smooth as possible. They are very good with communication and very helpful with overall move. Cons: The only thing that I don't like is the driving charge when they return back. Also, I feel they are a little bit slow with moving items. I have moved a lot so I can compare the time. Jacob and his team were amazing. I reached out Jacob last minute and he made it work for my family. 3 movers arrived 10am, we did a quick run down and time check. And they got right to work. They never stopped to take a break. I offered them breaks and food multiple times and they declined nicely. Only accepting water. (Make sure to keep them hydrated! They work so hard) We had huge bulky heavy items and they handled it like pros on 3 flights of stairs. They really carefully blanketed and wrap the corners even adding extra cardboard and cushions to make sure the furniture as well as the walls were protected during the move. And can I please tell you how satisfying the real life Tetris of the furniture in the truck was. I definitely recommend them and will be booking them again soon for a second run. (Big family, lots of stuff, we did not get everything out the first time due to my families poor decision making to decide what to move haha) we originally only booked for 3-5 hours and ended up 8 hours into the day. I managed to schedule his help within the week! During the move, Jacob came prepared with all required materials and supplies to protect my furniture. The crew showed up at 8am, very early but it's better because they did pack for like 7-8 hours and the whole load of the truck took around 10 hours. They covered every furniture with soft moving blankets. I had 3 TVs which were wrapped properly using the cardboard and blanket, that's was impressive. At the new place Jacob had only one person to help him unload the truck. It took them only 2 hours to unload everything and 1 hour to reassemble beds and tables. Nothing was damages. Wow! I was very astonished at the unbelievable service that I received from Unstoppable Moving. I hired three guys to move me out of my storage unit to a one-bedroom condo in the Walnut Creek area. They responded to my inquiry within a few hours and had excellent communication throughout. On the day of the move out they were on time and wasted no time on the clock. Throughout the move they worked diligently and efficiently, without breaking a single item. Prior to hiring Unstoppable moving, I moved the same items into a storage unit with a different moving company and they took a whopping 8 hours! Unstoppable moving was able to get the entire job done in a little over half the time with the commute from San Ramon to WC (roughly 5 hours, with an additional stop on the way). In person, the three men that assisted with the move were extremely polite and hardworking.
