I was very disappointed in this window company. I had two retrofit windows installed and they are casting a very green light into the room. This room is under a roof/porch area facing north and needs all the natural light it can get. Windows do have some CA regulations regarding efficiency but not to the point it distorts the light coming thru the window. This was not disclosed in advance so I am stuck with a room with altered lighting which is not pleasing. I would NOT recomend this company. This review is long overdue, but Mark and Lindy left an impression my husband and I have not forgotten. We were having our wedding reception at our house and our sliding glass door was in dire need of replacement. We needed someone to replace our 8 foot sliding glass door with a 12' door, which included adding a new header and breaking into the stucco. I found Bay King windows on Yelp and because of their great reviews I contacted them. Lindy was quick to respond, super friendly and informational, and made the process super easy. Mark, the owner, was very professional and knowledgeable and I loved that it was him doing the job with his guys versus just sending some randoms. I really appreciated that he used a barrier to keep the dust from the house and the pool and was able to complete the job in just a couple days. The price was very reasonable and he even added the craftsman trim around the inside of the window. The icing on the cake was that he gave my husband and I a wedding present which is the Plumaria that is now blooming in front of my house. I first talked to Lindy and she couldn't have been more friendly and willing to help us find the right windows for our home. After discussion to proceed, Mark came over to give us a rundown of what his plan was, etc and during the entire conversation he could not stress enough how clean and tidy he runs his work station at every job site. Mark and Lindy are awesome, I had them quote my home but wasn't ready to spend the money yet. They reran the numbers for me months later with no complaint and dealt with multiple requests for different configurations and pricing options. Even flexible enough to come measure on Saturday to work around my schedule. In addition to doing a flawless installation, there were some exterior features/framing that made my home more difficult and they knocked it out quickly without additional charge or delay. On top of all of that, they hauled away the security bars in addition to the old windows and door. Everything was taped up prior to working and swept and wiped down after installation. We were never pressured into buying premium windows nor told we needed to do a minimum number of windows at one time, the whole team was very considerate of our time, budget and needs. The woman I spoke to on the phone was very nice and helpful gathering the info she needed to give me a basic quote. Unfortunately when she called back, I asked her to email me the quote as well and she told me they don't give anything in writing as they don't want to be comparison shopped. What a weird policy! Why would I have thousands of dollars of work done, if they can't even give me a quote in writing that I can hold them too. Summary: Excellent installation. Solid brand recommendation (Simonton). Great value, friendly service, with a focus on quick + thorough while not making a mess. Very professional and helpful, though at times slow to respond to email/text inquiries. A few weeks ago, Mark and a crew of four guys came by to install three sliding glass doors in place of our existing ones. Prior to that, I had been corresponding with Lindy to get an estimate prior using my own measurements, and then a confirmation visit from Mark himself. Lindy also helped me get the order info as soon as it was available so that I could submit a rebate to Simonton. Our total came to a little over $5K for parts and labor. Initially, there were concerns about being able to complete the whole job within the span of a single day, so we scheduled for a Friday morning in case it needed to roll over into the Saturday right after. However, the crew arrived at around 8:30am and was out the door by around 4:30pm in the afternoon. Mark even left at around 1pm to let the other guys finish up after everything was in place and only the sealing and final details were remaining. They were very considerate of our home, covering everything with plastic sheeting, laying down cloth and paper to walk on so that they didn't make a mess, and they kept an eye out for our cats just in case one of them got curious to see outside. So far, the doors have done a great job insulating the home against the heat that has followed the installation, and they look great. My wife and I are quite happy with the work performed by Bay King Windows. read more

I woke up at 4:30 Christmas Eve to a drip, drip from my bedroom sliding door. My neighbor recommended calling Bay King. I didn't expect them to answer on Christmas Eve, but they did, and Mark said he would stop by and see what the problem was. REALLY!! Don't bother with this Company. They installed a sliding glass door in my condo that had mold between the glass on both sliders. This company knew they were installing inferior moldy glass and waited until the end to show me. REALLY!! After the installation they handed me and now MY problem to a warranty company. The warranty company came months later and fixed one side but the glass window they brought for the other side had deep scratches and even the Tech said he wouldn't put it in. Again, REALLY!! Now one year later I finally have the moldy glass replaced and they installed it upside down. REALLY!! Make sure you inspect your doors before you pay them. Lesson learned. read more

I had the Bay King replace 9 windows in my home last week. They completed the job in a single day. The new windows look amazing and there was no damage to the walls surrounding the windows. They also left each room as clean as when they entered the house. The installation guys answered all my questions and were very polite and respectful on my home. I found these folks on yelp because I needed to have a window repaired. One of mine got condensation in between the dual pane glass. The lady that answered the phone could probably have roped my in to either a repair or a new window - instead she steered me to the manufacturer, showed me how to find the window serial number and gave me the direct support number. I didn't even buy the window from them! Now I'm getting this warrantied through the manufacturer which I was unaware was even covered. That's outstanding service. We had to get new doors and windows with tempered glass because we are having a pool installed. We called Bay King and made an appointment for estimate and were happy with the reasonable price. The windows were ordered and I was told it take about a month. It took three weeks and the crew came this morning for the installation which took about 4 1/2 hours. This post is long overdue. Bay King came out and installed a balcony door over a living area that had been leaking. After installing the balcony door, unbeknownst to me the company who did the deck overlay cut the bottom of the balcony door accidentally and sure enough the next rain the same area started leaking. I called Mark's wife upset about the leaking cause I thought we had solved the problem and they were super understanding about my frustration. Mark came over to look at the door right away. Neither of us knew that the door had been cut at the bottom cause you could not see it, so Mark said he had to take out the door to get the bottom of the leak. He scheduled his guys quickly and they found the cut, fixed it, and reinstalled the door. Mark did not even mention anything about payment for his trouble of re-installing but we did offer money and he only requested payment for his helpers (very reasonable rate). It was not even Mark's fault, he fixed it, and lost his time. I will go to them again and again, when I need doors or windows! read more

If you need new windows, this is the place! I ordered 6 new windows and they were able to install in matters of a few hours. Granted it was popping out the old and popping in the new windows with the original frame still intact, still David and his team, Gavin and Sean had the system down packed! Each person knew what had to be done and with David's lead, they went straight to work. What really impressed my spouse and I was that they automatically took off their shoes before entering the house without us asking first. We appreciated that very much. From talking to Lindy, getting measurements from Mark, to David and team installing the new windows...took 5 months. They were not the lowest but also not the highest in their price range. The experience was a positive one, they knew their stuff and were straight to the point. The only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is because one of the windows had an "obscure bath glass" and it should not. So now they will have to reorder the glass replacement for that window. Their customer service and workmanship are truly 5 stars! Mark came to take final measurements and also provided his recommendations. When they came to install the windows, they carefully prepped the areas and laid sheets down to protect our floors. We love our new 11 windows! Mark sent his guys back to add mortar in areas that he wanted to match with the existing walls. He also warned me to take a final sweep in areas that may have small pieces of glass. They did a great job in cleaning out debris and glass. But you can never be too careful. I'm glad he mentioned it because we found tiny fragments of glass.
