They are fast, knowledgeable of what they are doing, and have pride in making sure that they get it done correctly and satisfactory according to US passport laws. (They also take photos that meet other countries' and agencies' requirements.) We recently went, and my son's collar was twisted, and she took a moment to make sure I had the opportunity to fix it. When my first kid was still under one, they helped us figure out a way to take his photo at home (dozens of photos on a white blanket), and then they were able to select the one that fit strict criteria, crop it and smooth out the background for us before printing. I would say one thing to be aware of is that they are not always open right when the posted hours claim. I would call first before heading over. The waiting area could be updated a bit, but it is fine.

They're listed as being the only FDLE live scan in Oakland, and being near downtown was convenient. I called and made an appointment for 12pm, arriving 15 minutes ahead of schedule and was out of there before noon. It was a quick and easy process. It costs roughly $131 - Fl state fee being $36 and the live scan fee being $96. The quality of service was nice - I can't remember the name of the guy who helped me but he texted me the receipt and provided me with the website for where I can check the status of the live scan.
