Poke Bowl (Small) DO U SEE THE SIZE BRO it's so worth it

OKAY SO First, like wdym the avocados are free to add into my poke bowl... like many places make me pay 2 bucks to add avocado. The things to add into my poke bowl are also super different from other places and they give me such a big portion. I ordered a small sized bowl and when I was done, they couldn't even close the lid plus I ate well. Honestly, this place is just delicious I loved the shrimp because they give me a lot and the sauces were delicious too. Especially their spicy mayo like that's the best thing I've tasted in a while. Just order a small and add as much things as you can atp... cause your gonna be full after the people are also very nice there and are patient while taking my order. It's really chill and sitting there while eating was the best

Came by because I was craving for poke bowl. They are located in the same plaza of Vons. This place is very clean, and it has a few table inside of the store. I ordered a small bowl with vegetable base with a scoop of salmon and scallop. The portion was huge. I requested to add eel sauce in the bowl. They have a variety of toppings to add on. Price was reasonable. I was unable to finish the bowl. Parking was very easy in this location. I will come by again for more poke bowl.

Great spot to satisfy your poke cravings! It's located in a plaza with plenty of parking. I ordered a medium bowl which comes with three proteins, and it did not disappoint. The fish was fresh and I appreciated that avocado was included at no extra charge. Definitely a good spot to check out if you're in the mood for poke!

Food 5/5 So glad I tried this spot! The poke was amazing, and they offer a variety of sauces. I ordered the salmon and tuna, mixed with spicy mayo, and it was delicious. They also have a great selection of toppings, and I especially loved that avocado is included--usually it's an extra charge elsewhere. The portions were extremely generous, too. Customer Service 5/5 The staff were super friendly and respectful. I didn't feel rushed, even with the line, and I really enjoyed my visit. Great customer service! Ambience 5/5 This is more of a casual spot. I ordered my food for takeout. Wait Time 5/5 Everything was handled quickly and efficiently. Cost 5/5 The price was a bit higher than at typical poke spots, but the portions are huge, so I think it's fair.

With a variety of seafood available throughout the Southern California area, there is no shortage of cultures that know how to make this food in their own special ways. And with this, poke has been an up and coming dish. I personally have had limited exposure to this poke frenzy on the mainland. But when I saw Bay Poke running a large bowl BOGO special for $19.95 on UberEats, I figured it might be worth the time to grab a bowl and see how the food compares to that of Hawaii. With a customizable system for ordering, each person can make a bowl to their own custom taste and liking. And for this experience, I decided on a white rice base; salmon, spicy salmon, boiled Japanese scallop, and calamari salad for proteins; cucumbers, seaweed salad, imitation crab meat, Hawaiian sweet potato, edamame, sweet corn, pineapple, kimchi, masago eggs, and mandarin oranges for sides; and spicy ponzu sauce, lemon garlic sauce, sesame oil, spicy mayo, crispy onion, seasame seeds, and furikake for garnishes. I initially thought that the portion size would be small, especially with all of the items I was adding to the customizable order. But to my surprise, the amount of food given exceeded my expectations. Each piece of protein was large and thick in pieces which was very pleasant. The sides were also given generously which helped to make for a fulfilling meal. Twenty dollars may seem to be more expensive than a typical meal in the entire Greater LA area. But because this dish contains loads of fresh seafood, it was more than fair. Of the many things I ordered in the dish, everything just seemed to pile on which left no cohesiveness to be had (my fault). But nonetheless, each ingredient tasted as fresh as they could be. I personally enjoyed the salmon and scallop as the salmon had a good ratio of fatty to lean pieces while the scallop was large and included the other parts of the meat besides the medallion. The addition of the masago eggs and imitation crab meat was a nice touch, especially since they were lightly sweet, savory, and did not cost extra to add. For the sauces, the ponzu sauce gave both a sweet and spicy kick to the bowl which really helped combine the different flavors and textures. And for last, I enjoyed consuming the sesame oil as it made all of the ingredients taste more defined than they would have otherwise. It may seem to be a steep price for a meal at first. And without the special buy one get one offer, it could be harder to justify the meal at the regular $20 price tag. But if you can move past this, the proteins are wholeheartedly delicious, the sides are offered in plenty and given generously, and the sauces complement the ingredients well. With that all said, I would give Bay Poke a solid 4 star rating. Definitely give them a go if you're in the Pasadena area, it's definitely worth a try!

Great poke bowl, great service!! Poke bowl used to be very popular. But it seems like it's a little hard to find a good one recently. In searching for a high rating poke I came across Bay Poke. And it was great! Easy menu, Small Medium Large with 2/3/4 scoops of protein. But trust me, they use the same bowl and with all the extra, it will all end up equally BIG!! Nice protein options. Apart from the typical salmon, tuna, shrimp. They got the Japanese scallop (NOT bay scallop but the Japanese one). We tried the spicy salmon, soy sauce tuna, scallop, calamari salad. All excellent. As for the side, so many different options and they are so generous. Basically they will add whatever you want in a decent portion. So if you like me, want to try a little of everything, you will end up having a huge bowl! Price is very reasonable. Ingredients are all fresh. The two servers that were helping us are all kind and nice and helpful. A wonderful poke place in town.

I've followed bay poke to various locations, Irvine, Anaheim, and now Pasadena. I love their poke, I haven't tried many places since this one has everything I like. I get a medium bowl with white rice, imitation crab, shrimp with spicy mayo, house sauce, and sesame oil, with cucumber. Add avocado, top off with crunchy onion and garlic and spicy mayo drizzle. They never disappoint. Parking has not been bad the times I've gone, it is located in a shopping center with many stores. The shop itself is pretty small, they have some tables inside. Service was good as well, went around 6 and it wasn't packed.

I don't recommend this place. I came in to get a medium poke bowl and Snapple tea. Initially, service was ok. The server appeared to be bothered to have to serve me and gave me attitude. I was eating and after a few bites, I found this worm on the salmon. I politely went back and asked for a refund and they asked me why. I told them I found a worm on the salmon and they tried looking for it themselves. Another server (who was very nice) came out and took over, she also had the audacity to ask for the Snapple tea back. I told her I was keeping the tea because I had already opened it. They refunded the Poke bowl but all had attitude about it. I do not recommend this place.

Was in the area and couldn't figure out what to have for lunch. Have always passed by this location, so decided to give it a try. It's a small shop in a very busy shopping center that is anchored by a Vons market. I can see how the parking lot could get very busy during peak times. Got into the store and was greeted by some very nice staff. I noticed it was "cafeteria-style" poke, so you get to choose your base and toppings. I must say that they have a lot of offerings, so depending on what size you choose, it could be an overwhelming process. Felt a bit rushed by the staff to make my choices...so it might help to choose beforehand (but part of the fun is seeing what they have available). My items were nicely packed into a medium-sized container and filled to the brim. Very tasty and fresh meal (maybe snack to some) and I hope to visit again. Price point is what one would expect for poke...but it's the items that they offer which make it stand out from the rest.

I have had good poke at a lot of places, even great poke, but this place is the best, by far, hands down. Their choices of ingredients is better than most places and the fish is always top notch. The people who work there really make the experience though. They are fun, upbeat, friendly, and ready to help or make great suggestions in a moment's notice. Yoke and Kaitlin are fantastic, as is the rest of the crew who's names I will easily memorize as well since my wife and I frequent Bay Poke. Keep up the great work guys. I love poke, and it's hard to mess up as long as the ingredients are fresh. That being said, their ingredients and toppings are quite good. Not extraordinary, but it fulfills my poke cravings just fine. I do love the different colored masago that you can get at the end. The people behind the counter are very nice. I appreciate that they talk to you, but at the same time, the service is slow. They should really have 3 people behind the counter during peak times. read more

I always go here on the way to the gym so the fact I can eat healthy and light before going is great! For how affordable it is, there's quite a selection of toppings to choose from and more often then not whatever you pick tastes pretty good. They got stuff you don't usually see such as Tobiko, Masago, and furikake so there's bonus points for that too. read more

Just went there for the first time a few days ago. Been waiting a while for this place to open. If you go this weekend, you can get a FREE 8 gb USB drive with any purchase. Got a regular sized bowl, slightly more than what I usually pay for, the original cup size is enough for one hungry person. I'm used to getting a small size at other places for a few dollars less. Reg. size gets you 3 proteins, I got salmon, albacore and shrimp - all which were fresh. Some of the fish were really cold (almost frozen or thawing) but good. Great presentation, very clean place - also not that big, so if it's busy prepare yourself for a wait or take it to-go. Sauce offerings are just okay, in fact, average - nothing too exciting or different - they had a small handful of options. Spicy ponzu was pretty good - and of course they have all the same basic sauces. They did have a lot of toppings, which is a plus. Cool that they have one there at that location, just slightly pricey. Also parking sucks in that lot hard to get in and out on the Colorado side and with Vons and the bank - it gets jammed up pretty quickly during peak times - so be careful. read more

First there was Chipotle, then Blaze took that concept and applied to Pizza, now Bay Poke is applying to Poke. Restaurant - nice build out of the space. Clearly they want to build a franchise model with this business. Food - they have a wide variety of seafood options and toppings. One plus for Bay Poke is that they mix the fish with the sauces you select separately and put that on top of your rice or salad. They have two sizes - regular gets you three (fairly small) scoops of poke, large gets you five. Service - very good for quick service restaurant. Overall thumbs up. Definitely will be back. read more

The food is great, and there is a vast variety of toppings to add. Nonetheless I find it more enjoyable when the bowls aren't too stuffed. The workers were friendly and gave some good recommendations. Ashley had recommended the lime cream as a sauce for my protein and now I refuse to order without it. She served me with a big smile and worked well with the other workers. They worked well as a team and got my order correctly and promptly. Will definitely recommend this as a lunch for work, or dinner to end a long day. read more

Amazing customer service. I placed an order online and didn't notice the wait time was up from the regular time they give (my mistake), I arrived early (my mistake), and they rushed and got my food to me almost immediately. They could have easily asked me to wait the full time but they didn't. I really appreciate restaurants that value my time on a already rushed lunch break! read more

I was on my way home from the gym and needed some protein so I stopped in here to try this new place. Omg-so good! I know there's tons of Poké places around now but this one is added to my list! The portions are decent and they have plenty of varieties of toppings and fish which I love at poke places! You also get a free fountain drink when you check in which is anyways a plus! read more

I go to Bay Poke a lot. I was there yesterday and i just had a different experience. When i was ordering my food the worker named Julia was so very sweet and had a smile on her face the whole time. Not only did she have a smile on her face the whole time, but she was super friendly. She was amazing ! And of course the food was amazing !! read more

Went there to get one small bowl and two medium bowls. When it got time to add toppings to the bowls, I assumed the bowls would go in order starting with the small bc that was what they did when they were adding the fish and the sauce. I told the girl that for the small I wanted this that and that. And the girl looked up at me and said "this is a medium bowl" so I proceeded to give the order toppings for one of the medium bowls. When it got time to add the toppings to the small bowl, I told her what toppings were. Then the guy who added the fish to the bowls the first time told her that she was wrong and that it was the small bowl the first time and she just stood there and didn't say a word. The guy at the cashier just looked at her too. No one offered to redo the two bowls they got wrong or apologize for getting it wrong the first time. They just continued to stare at me and not say a single thing. The reason I am writing this review is bc of how they handled it. It would be different if the small and medium bowl had the same toppings but they both had completely different toppings. I ended up just taking the bowls and leaving. Not coming here again. read more

Not the best poke I've had but pretty good. Service is friendly. Portion size is average. Price is slightly on the high side for poke. They have a variety of different fish egg colors and it's unlimited. They also serve dole whip, but I didn't get a chance to try on this visit. Worth the stop if you're in the area. read more

So I just finished my regular size poki bowl. I chose tuna, albacore and spicy salmon. Now I usually go to another place which I love but I heard good things about this one so decided, why not. So with that, I can say that I really did enjoy the food here. There is a variety and I liked how they don't mince the salmon for the spicy salmon. Great variety on sauces and I got my free fountain drink when I checked in. My only complaint is that the pieces of fish are to big. If they could cut them smaller than it would of been perfect read more

It seems like there are three new poke places every week, and I enjoy many of them, but Bay Poke is the best by far. Their fish is always fresh and flavorful, the toppings are well chosen, and the sauces perfectly complement the bowls. The Brick macaroon ice cream is also a nice way to finish. Delicious. read more

poke is pretty decent! toppings and other selections are more than most places. price is good: you get alot for your money. I would give a better a rating but I tried their new one-size only unagi (eel) bowl and it was sadly sub par and didn't have nearly as enough food packed in the bowl compared to if you got poke normally. I felt pretty ripped off. otherwise, I'll come back for the fish poke bowls, but do not recommend the unagi bowl they offer. read more

This is my family's favorite poke place in Pasadena. We eat there often too! The employees are very kind, efficient and the place is clean and well organized. Came here after a workout, and just so we craved Poke! Yelped for Poke and this was the first place that came up as we were in Pasadena area. So far this is probably the best poke I've had. Clean modern layout and chipotle style food serving setup. I really like their bowls- big so everything stays inside. LOTS of topping options and the large comes with 5 scoops of fish. It's a little small so if you're going during a rush you might need to get it to go. Good quality fish and toppings. Will definitely go back! read more

Would opt to get Medium size next time. Will come back tho since food was good. I just love the "build your own" style. They had good options for dressings and toppings too. Parking can be a bit challenging, but there are garage and street parking around the area. Had a 3 min walk from where I parked NBD since the day was gorg ! $2 for an hour and half, had more than enough time left from the event. So that worked out. Staff were mediocre. Overall yes I recommend.

It's only purple or brown rice, which is a healthier option, but I understand it's not for everyone. I got the regular size poké bowl with purple rice, and it's cooked perfectly that it has a fluffy texture very similar to white rice's. What I really liked about this place is that they mix your sauces with the protein in a separate mixing bowl before putting it into your poké bowl. Most poké places I've been too won't do this as an extra step - they'll just drizzle a bunch of sauce that sometimes the dry ingredients gets drenched and soggy. As for the fish itself, the portions are very fair, and the quality is good. They gave a pretty generous amount of avocado as well, which was very fresh, and you do not have to pay extra for it. Rarely do I come across a poké restaurant that does this.

One employee asked if I'd like crab and seaweed salad. I said yeah. Crab is probably imitation crab. I like that the crab and seaweed salad are free. I don't think other poke bowl restaurants serve them for free. I like how the sauces and toppings are labeled on the display cases or glass. I didn't see the trash can so I asked an employee where I was supposed to place the tray and bowl. He said he could take it. Employees were kind. One employee said I'd be paying with cash since I had a $20 bill out. There are at least 4 tables inside. Music played through the speakers. Chairs were stools. A small plant was placed on each table. They seemed real. One table had 2 chairs on each side. Tables were grouped together. There are tables outside. Natural light filtered through the floor to ceiling windows. I could feel the AC inside.

Eventually I found out a few friends of mine have also gone for years and made their suggestions. As I didn't know what to expect I figured I'd go one day, which I did. Actually, it was about 3 weeks ago. I had driven by it but never stopped by which is crazy. At first glance you'd think the business is still closed and waiting to be opened but you have to drive to the back of the parking lot to enter the establishment. I couldn't decide which sushi I wanted so I got a few. It's cute and small on the inside but it's easy to find what you need and it's easy to see what you'd like to buy the next time you go! I can't wait to go back. The only thing I didn't like was their spam musubi, but it's not the end of the world! The sushi is still something I'm going back for!

I've only ever ordered…read morefrom their "galley", which I think is what they call their kitchen, but I know they also sell raw seafood as well, in addition to a few other things in their small market. One of my favorite things to get at Fish King is the plate with the swordfish skewers. This dish is honestly so unique, and I haven't found anything like it anywhere else. It's basically two shish-kebab style sticks of seasoned swordfish, peppers, and tomatoes, and it's served with a few sides in addition to fried veggies and shrimp. I also really enjoy their tacos. They also have very generous servings of poke (I personally don't get the poke from here because it's already mixed in with raw onions and I don't like raw onion). Prices are all very reasonable--the swordfish plate I mentioned earlier is around $15 and a pretty large amount of food. Fish King does get pretty busy especially around mealtimes so it's better to order in advance and pick up so that you don't have to wait around as long. I think if you order in person, you can expect a 20-30 min wait when it's busy. There's a small lot on the side of the market and sometimes you can find street parking too. There are some tables on both ends of the market so you can dine in, it's very casual.

They know everything about their fish and even the things they sell that you want to use to make your fish. The place is always clean and fresh smelling. The prices are very fair. They even have a place to eat and they make prepared food for you. It is wonderful. Parking is easy and the staff is the best so have fun and go there. You will not be disappointed.

Wow! Kudos to Bay Poke! I'm so happy to see Bay Poke finally opened for business. I've been waiting so long. I went there with my friends today, and it was their first day of business. The place was super clean, and the staffs were very friendly. More importantly, the poke bowl was superb. I had a regular bowl with ahi tuna, salmon, and albacore for my choices of proteins. The fish was very fresh. I added house sauce and spicy mayo, as recommended. They have so many toppings, but I decided to go simple today. I'll be alternating my choices each time I come. The staffs seemed a little under-trained, but it's totally acceptable for soft opening. The quality of the bowl makes up whatever may be lacking. This place is far better than the other poke joints in town. I higly recommend Bay Poke to any craving for poke. read more

Without sounding too full of myself I'll just say this to keep it brief - I cook for a living and this place is pretty good. Food is tasty and they have a good selection of proteins and a good amount of choices for your sides to make the poke bowl. AND - the price is very, very reasonable for the freshness and quality or their fish. This could easily be a 5-star review but I'll reserve that if it becomes a "go-to" for poke, which would really take more than one visit. So far - so good though. read more

So glad to have a really good poke place nearby to where I work, it makes for a satisfying and healthy lunch. The portions are not generous but the quality is very good and the taste is fresh and this I value more than a distasteful pile. The environment is clean, friendly staffs. Best of all, the foods(fish) is fresh and price is about right. It's not super cheap but at least I can afford to eat as daily. Parking is sharing with other stores in the plaza. So be aware timing if you are just having a little lunch break. read more
