I was in LA for vacation last week and exploring around when I wanted poke for some grub. There was a nearby parking lot, so that was convenient! The workers were nice and explained the different options and mentioned the most popular ones. I tried their most popular, main dish called the Eagle Rocker and I have to say, it tasted pretty good! There is definitely a bunch of things coming together, with an overall sweet and barely spicy taste! Every bite was full of texture and flavor. I would not mind ordering again if I ever came back! A good choice for poke. They provided fun options for bowls. Though I do think ERPS relies too much on sauces/extras rather than the fish being the main star of the show. My bowl "Eagle Rocker" had waayyyyy too much sauce. If I were to re-order I would try one of the DIY ones for a more classic poke bowl. read more

I understand all the bad reviews now. My poke bowl was nothing that I ordered. Was missing multiple ingredients I ordered such as the unagi sauce and tempura crunch but they made sure to add red cabbage. Won't be returning back unfortunately. The food was ready on time, labeled, and all the modifications requested to the various orders were done correctly. I like to check in all my orders before I leave the restaurant and the staff here at ERPS was happy to go over everything with me to make sure it was all correct (PAs and Assistants know how clutch this is). The quality and quantity of food is great, especially for the price. My crew was very happy we found a Poke place in budget! It's hard to find restaurants that make 15-20 different people but everyone loves this place. Lastly, I can't emphasize enough how great the staff is. One word comes to my mind and it's regret. I ordered delivery Postmates. Gross. Rice in byo is old, totally did not add my ahi tuna and reg tuna. The entire thing tasted old, it was gross. The crab was dry not one sauce added no condiment sauces included. Same with the Cali cup, waste of $10. This tiny cup with a teaspoon of dry crab meat and no sauces. I try to be as generous as I can in scoring on yelp, but the portions of fish of this poke restaurant is significantly below average. To say they're skimpy on the fish is not an understatement. I was expecting much more fish in my bowl, and they didn't really offer much sauce on the poke. I'm not sure what's going on , but I've noticed a steady decline of quality and consistency the last few months ... there's been zero mention of a ownership change but I suspect that's what's going on. This is one of my favorite Poke places that I recently discovered. The poke is very fresh and the portion sizes are pretty filling! I usually order beforehand on their website before coming to pick up. It's a bit of a small shop, but we always get take out due to covid. They're located in Eagle Rock and one of the only reasons I visit this area is to pick up food from them! My picks for fish would have to be salmon and spicy tuna. I also love their black rice, which comes with a hint of spicy. Make sure to also try their poke nachos! It's so delicious and I always get an order of it to share with my cousins.
