Suuuper tasty and fresh poke! I was surprised at how big the 'small' size is, it was plenty of food to fill me up before heading next door to the movies :) I like how they label everything in the bar, kind of like an ice cream shop, so you can knowingly select all the ingredients you want. There is also a description of all the sauce options right at the counter. The staff was patient but not particularly friendly. Even though there were no other customers when we came in, the 2 staff just looked at us until we were ready to start ordering. There is some seating inside and a nice patio with plants to sit outside. We'll be back!

Holy Poke! I love a fresh poke spot with fresh fish and this was it. Indoor and outdor seating! Service was fast! I appreciated that the workers knew their ingredients and what was and wasn't gluten free. I built my own bowl with Salmon...spicy tuna and ahi tuna and it was all so fresh. This was a small quiet place with a chill shopping center vibe. Looking forward to coming back!

ALL ABOUT POKE A poke chain, I will be back to get more from!:) Feels like FAST FOOD minus the GUILT AND FRIED STUFF, with a lot more color and flavor :) Delicious I got the SPICY TUNA, SALMON ALBACORE, and soba noodles with salad. YUZU PONZU SAUCE + Sweet CHILI sauce they said you can mix up to 3 sauces free. *Honestly I wish I added a creamy sauce ! Definitely going with spicy mayo next time I pretty much got all the veggies and fruit toppings that were free :) fruit being tangerine and pineapple Overall I liked the portion and taste :) 7.5/10 for me Follow me for more food trips "LIVING WITH LUCI"

The stamp card that I lost :( Do you think they will honor this illustration of the Loyalty Card I once had?

Ah, All About Poke--you know I love you right? When it comes to fulfilling my Poke craving you are the first to cross my mind. You are that good. But first, let's talk about their staff. If I had one word to describe them, the first word that comes to mind is "young". Not that, it matters but it's more of an observation. But hey, they're doing their best, and I respect the hustle. When it's busy (which isn't often), you can see them kicking into gear, slinging poke bowls like there is no yesterday. Efficiency? 10/10 effort, even if the vibe occasionally screams, "I have algebra homework after this shift." Now, let's address the tragedy: my dearly departed Loyalty Card. Three stamps in, nine to go, and now... vanished. Poof. Gone. Somewhere in the Bermuda Triangle of my wallet, I assume. I should just start over, right? But no, I'm too emotionally attached to the dream of my original card. In its memory, I've provided a detailed illustration of my lost card. (Imagine me holding up a crayon masterpiece and whispering, "Please.") All About Poke, La Canada, will you honor my illustrated Loyalty Card so I can chase the glory of a free bowl once again? Think of the PR potential here--your act of kindness could go viral. Until then, I'll keep coming back, stamp card or no stamp card. Because your poke? Totally worth it. And if I do start over, I'll consider this my redemption arc. Rating: 4 bowls of poke (but 9 stamps shy of perfection).

Loved this for a weeknight fresh meal option. I split the base as 1/2 brown rice and 1/2 soba noodles. I loved the temp of the rice and wish the soba was served at the same temp. Next time I'll do rice alone. The fish options tasted fresh and the portions are generous. Service was efficient and the location is convenient enough as far as adequate parking. The location appeared clean and the toppings well-stocked. I'd get a side of sauce next time since the bowl portion was so generous, I felt like I could have used more sauce when I got about half way. The medium is sufficient for a hearty dinner, very generously packed bowl!

Visited All About Poki in Montrose. There was plenty of parking and a good amount of seating both inside and outside. Music was playing, and the store was clean and well-kept. I got a medium-sized bowl with rice--salmon and tuna were fresh as always, and the crab and seaweed were a great touch. It filled me up just right. No complaints about the food. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the service wasn't great--felt like I was getting a bit of attitude. Other than that, solid experience.

First time eating Poke and it was delicious and fresh. Service was outstanding, the whole team helped us, including the manager. We'll definitely come back to All About Poke.

I have to say I am extremely disappointed…read more 76 dollars for 3 plates. SMH. And before I go on, mochiko chicken is the only dish worth eating here. Now let's begin. Walked into a restaurant where you don't get greeted upon entry, the girl walking around just smiles at you with no words. No hello, nothing. Not even an Aloha! I've been to the big island, there's endless praises everywhere. You did not get the vibe here. First time we came here we were wowed by the food. Portions were great at first. Once we got our orders yesterday, I knew our time had come. Cant support places that over charge for no apparent reason. Plain and simple. Chicken thighs are 2-3 dollars a pound, beef is like 8-10 dollars a pound. I use to be in the food industry and to see the portions of food here the second round. Either it shows they are hurting bad, or the chef "was having a bad day?" I just don't believe that. And I can assure you they are not using halal nor organic meats for them to justify portion to pricing. Back to my first remark like I mentioned above, mochiko chicken is the only dish I recommend if someone is coming for their first time. Soft tender chicken bites sprinkled with some nori like seasoning. Rice scoop and the infamous sad Mac salad. The Mac salad needs love. Serious revamping. I make an authentic island style Mac salad time to time. Far better than this recipe. I also ordered the Galbi which I did not appreciate the bait and switch. Since I've ordered it before and this time it was not cut into strips. Last I checked with the numerous photos posted here on yelp. The version we received just wasn't it. Everyone gets a decent portion of meat. Nothing chewy or even with bones. I even said to my mother in law she is going to love this dish. And she hated it. They still had the bones of the sliced short rib on, VERY FATTY, very chewy. Such a let down. And last the Dinosaur ribs. I asked about them and was given a hand comparison to sizing. Not gonna lie this wasn't it either. There was almost no meat. Was the cow taking ozempic? Google Dinosaur Ribs. No seriously Google, Dinosaur ribs. I mean you guys need some help if you think what I got was dinosaur ribs. Definitely gotta 86 this item or give people what they actually deserve. If you're going to serve a dish and call it dinosaur ribs, atleast provide a dinosaur portion of meat on them. I mean poor execution. Flavor was decent, but having to chew the bottom connective tissue was unappealing and far from appetizing. 68 dollars plus an 8 dollar tip was too steep for this lack luster rendition of what Hawaiian food is and should be.

But these two angels were great and happy to hear the suggestion of Hawaiian food for dinner. We went straight to Aloha Kids (not even stopping at our hotel before hand). The restaurant is so well decorated to me. I loved being in their space! The patio was their catering pick up (next day was Thanksgiving). It was busy! There was a constant stream of people coming and going. Inside Aloha Kids is smaller and narrow with few places to sit. They have a shelf with merch and I recognized some artists from the Bay Area in there! The person helping us told me they like to support small businesses and they were definitely doing so. Now, on to the most important part: the food. I ordered the Kalbi ribs, my husband ordered the loco moco, and our nieces ordered the chicken teriyaki and a spam musubi to share. The ribs were super tender and so good. I almost didn't want to offer my husband one. But I did and he really enjoyed it. He loved his loco moco so much, he barely spoke a word to me while he was eating. Our niece also really enjoyed their food and polished off their plates (just like us). My husband also ordered a side of their kimchi and it was DELICIOUS. The only thing we noted was the mac salad needed a little something, but we enjoyed it nonetheless. If we're ever back in the area, we're definitely coming back and trying other things on their menu!

Service was very friendly. Cashier will talk stories with you and tell you how he makes the food. Now onto the food. The reason why I rated this 3 stars is because it could improve a lot. Portion met the standards (which they give a lot in Hawaii in multiple LnL locations). The taste and how they made the kalua pork was ok. The taste was a little bland and like any other kalua pork, it has to be mixed with the cabbage, this place didn't. The cabbage was underneath and still freshly cut. A good kalua pork would be mixed with the cabbage so the cabbage is soft. And I get it, people don't like cabbage sometimes, but that's just the dish. I feel like the kalua pork could be more tender as it was a little rough to munch on and more with the seasonings. This place can improve a lot. Hopefully they can contact LnL in Hawaii to help with the recipes and cooking methods (:

It's hard to pick a favorite when they're all this good! To balance out all the fresh seafood, we also ordered the fried onion rings and fried zucchini. The dim lighting, bamboo, vintage Polynesian decor, hanging canoes, glowing tiki lamps, aquarium, and old-school island soundtrack make this one of the coolest dining rooms in Los Angeles. It's nostalgic in the best way, and honestly, the atmosphere alone is worth experiencing once. It's easy to see why Damon's has become such a Glendale institution since 1937. Unfortunately, that's where the experience peaked for me. We started with the potato skins, which were fine--crispy enough, loaded with cheese and bacon--but they felt like something you'd find at Chili's or TGI Fridays. Good, just not memorable. The famous house salad was fresh, but again... nothing that really stood out. For entrees we ordered the Rib Cap and the Sirloin & Shrimp. The rib cap had decent flavor, but for a premium cut I expected more tenderness and a bigger wow factor. The sirloin was cooked properly, the shrimp were fine, and the sautéed spinach was actually one of the better parts of the meal. Overall though, nothing tasted bad--it just never rose above "solid chain steakhouse" quality. The cocktails were probably the biggest surprise. In a place built around tiki culture, I expected drinks that transported me. Instead they were just... okay. Perfectly drinkable, but lacking the punch and creativity you'd hope for from such an iconic tiki destination. Reading through other reviews afterward, it seems I'm not alone. Most people absolutely love Damon's for its atmosphere, history, and nostalgic charm, while opinions on the food tend to be much more mixed. Many longtime guests return because the experience is unique, even if the menu hasn't evolved much over the years. Bottom line: Come for the atmosphere. Come for the history. Come because it's one of Southern California's classic tiki restaurants. Just don't come expecting one of LA's best steakhouses. Damon's feels like dinner inside an enchanted Disney tiki attraction, but the food and drinks never quite match the magic of the room. If they elevated the menu and cocktail program to the same level as the atmosphere, this place could easily become one of my favorite restaurants in Los Angeles. As it stands, it's a destination worth visiting--just set your expectations accordingly.
