I first went to Doctor Lee' s dental practice in fall of 2019 and as soon as I walked in the front office it felt welcoming. After I had my X-ray done, I met with Doctor Lee and right away he wasted no time in explaining the treatment plan and then completed a temporary bond for my chipped veneer. In July, I was worried about Corvid-19 that I wasn't sure if it was safe to go to the dentist. And even though I was nervous, I was also very anxious and excited to begin the process of getting a new smile. To my relief, the front desk took extra measurements to keep the office clean, sterilized and ensured everyone's safety. Dr. Lee took his time to examine my teeth and answered all my questions. He provided recommendations, shared what to expect and reassured me the procedures would be painless and he was right. When I wasn't happy with the color of the crowns and was hesitant to say so. Dr. Lee informed me he didn't think it was a match either and said it wasn't an issue and it wouldn't cost more to retry. I felt a lot better knowing Dr. Lee was more concerned about the quality of his work and his patients satisfaction. He attentively listened to my feedback and he adjusted the veneer and crown fitting to provide a more comfortable bite. I made an appointment request via the website, but no email confirmation and also no response back from them. The website claims they are available 24x7 all 7 days. But, that's just in words. I called them and waited on the line for more than 20 mins. but no response. If you don't attend customers during weekends or holidays, then don't just advertise on the website falsely. While writing this review, I seen some other person claims that the website form didn't work. But I believe Dr. Lee and his team doesn't care to fix it for more than a year. Dr. Lee mentioned they are responsible via open communication, but where is that open communication. I emailed them asking for appointment. It has been more than a week, but no response. I have never seen this kind of worst customer support|care. There is no way to give 0 stars, so I am bound to give the minimum of 1 star. read more

My dad had an emergency on his dental implant and the whole experience with Dr. Lee's office and his staff was anything but excellent! We received text messages and emails for his appointment updates. Dr. Tu and Dr. Lee were able to see him on the same day. Tracy was very helpful and able to translate for my dad since he didn't speak much English. Dr. Tu & Dr. Lee both consulted my dad and let him know the best procedure for his implant. Everything was explained clearly to him and what to expect before, during and aftercare as well. My wife and I've have been Dr. Lee's patients for two years. My wife did a lot of research on finding a dentist who could correct a problem with her crowns that were causing inflammation in her gums. While other dentists we consulted suggested surgery, Dr. Lee recommended a more conservative approach of deep cleanings followed by crown replacement. He acknowledged that it was possible that well she could need surgery if the more conservative treatment didn't work out. Thankfully two years in the conservative treatment has worked out and she didn't need to go with the more invasive option. We also go to Dr. Lee's office for routine cleanings and dental work. The hygienists are efficient and professional. Ask for Agnes who is awesome. All in all, you should consider this dental practice both for routine dental care and more more involved procedures. PS, their COVID-19 precautions were reassuring: they took my temperature and checked my blood oxygen before letting me into the office. All care providers were wearing face shields and masks. I had root canal done by Dr. Tu on July 11. I had so much pain on my front teeth suddenly , even water with room temperature will caught the nerve pain. I called the office, they schedule an appointment right next day and Dr. Tu did cold test and suggest me to do root canal. I was so nervous since this is my first time. I check out lots of video from Youtube regarding the pro and con of the root canal. On the surgery date I talk about my fear of having the operation. My husband and I have being seen by Dr. Lee since we moved to the Bay Area in 2011. Not one single negative experience visiting his office. the procedures we have gotten done go from semiannual cleaning, root canal and crown, tooth chip repair and cavity treatment. The waiting room has a Zen ambiance that gives a sense of relaxation as soon as you walk in. The desk staff is very friendly and competent. The Zen theme continues as you walk into the Dental Treatment rooms. I was impressed by the high tech equipment, everything from the dental patient chair, the X-Ray equipment even the instruments, everything looks very high end. Gives you the sense that they really care about their practice and are willing invest in the best of the best. Dr. Lee itself is a very serious guy which threw me off a little the first time I met him. What I like about him is that he is very knowledgeable and will sit down with you and explain everything regarding your case. He is a very straight to the point, this is what you have to do, this is what you don't have to do kind of guy and I love that! I think I have seen most of the hygienists and assistants that work at this office, they are all very sweet and friendly. They are also very gentle with their work and will make sure you are comfortable through the procedure. The check out experience is quick and they will immediately schedule a follow up appointment or next semiannual visit. They will also send text message and/or email reminders as your appointment approaches if you request so. We moved to the East Bay recently but as long as we stay in the Bay area we will keep visiting Dr. Lee for all our oral care. read more

I don't post many reviews, but I really enjoy the service here at Bay Smile Design. I have been to a couple different dental offices in the bay area and I think Bay Smile Design gives their most honest opinion. I went in originally wanting to get all my old cavities refilled, not because they needed to be replaced but more cosmetic.  My old cavities were silver and I just wanted to change it to white for a better look. Other office suggested for me to get it replace right away without disclosing what could happen, Bay Smile Design told me since my cavities are still in good condition and removing it can make the current hole bigger. Most doctors act on what I want and not what I really need and that's why I enjoy coming to Bay Smile Design because I can trust them with my teeth. They will make suggestions on what is best for you and not on your wallet which is hard to find nowadays. I was seen by Agnes and she is a phenomenal job, she was super nice and took care of me even though she had other patients to juggle. Got in the office and all research (with information provided in advance) had been done. After a brief explanation of what I wanted done, I was taken to the room, where I was immediately put into a chair by the doctor's assistant, who prep me. Then the doctor came and do his work. He was gentle, professional, and efficient. No fumbling. No frills. No wasted time. The entire office worked like a well oiled machine that does NOT MAKE ME WAIT. I didn't have to entertain myself with TV shows while waiting for the doctor. I have been a patient with Dr. Huang for the past 25 years and I have been very satisfied with his service. His office staffs are very professional and follow-ups are always covered very well. The hygienists are also very good: giving clear account of what is being done and what to expect next. There are some turnover in the hygienists over the years, so when I get to know one better, then someone new may come along. So far, I have not experienced a bad one though. My son is turning 18 in a month and I have no reservation in sending him to this dentist office. I found Dr. Tu very honest and skillful. My examination/cleaning took over 1.5 hours which was impressive. Dr. Tu explained my teeth condition with both X-rays and camera pictures, and answered my questions patiently. She didn't ask me to put fillings on eight of my teeth (as my previous dentist did), and pointed me to the real issues. 8/11/2020. I have been coming to Dr. Lee's office for teeth related issues and cleaning for quite a while. I was going to postpone my July cleaning appointment because the pandemic. Unfortunately, I started to have tooth ache. Went to see Dr. Lee in July. He referred me to an endodontist since it is a root canal related issue. After the endodontist done the root canal work, I went back to Dr. Lee's office. Dr. Tu made a permanent cap for my tooth and also did the cleaning. For COVID-19, they follow ADA rules strictly. They also installed a huge air vent in every room and two huge ones in the hallway. Highly recommend this office to everyone. read more

I recently went back for a cracked tooth and luckily they were open again. SUPER, SUPER clean and the are very conscientious of the COVID19 breakout and take special care in cleaning and disinfecting the office and patient areas. I live in Foster City but will drive all the way to Santa Clara to see Dr Lee. Traveled 1hr from San Francisco to see Dr. Tu and it was totally worth it. Dr. Tu and the staff squeezed me in during their lunch hour since I'm only in the Bay Area during the holidays. You can tell they really care about their patients. From the moment I stepped into Sunnyvale Dentistry I was greeted by their friendly staff. The office is very contemporary and their technology and equipment is state of the art. Take it from someone who is in dentistry; I would not be going or traveling to Dr. Tu's office unless she was the best. Dr. Tu is absolutely amazing. I'm the type of person who was terrified of going to the dentist. It was probably at least 6 years up until a couple months ago that I told myself that I have to go and get my teeth fixed. I shopped around online looking at reviews of women dentists, and once I saw all the positive feedback about Dr. Tu, something inside me told me that I would be ok. Dr Tu did an incredible work on my 3-1/2 year old daughter and kept her calm during her filling. We came to Dr. Tu initially for a second opinion since my daughter had a lot of cavities and with her age, she needs to be sedated in order to operate. Dr. Tu provided us an alternative solution and we were so glad we went through with it without sedation. My daughter was very happy with the results. Dr. Huang and his staff are phenomenal. I love coming here. All his oral hygienists do a great job! They offer me sunglasses during teeth cleanings so the bright lights won't shine on my eyes. I live in the East Bay but drive to his office for my semi-annual teeth cleanings. They do a really good job and are constantly asking if I am experiencing any pain or discomfort. They also describe what they are doing as they are cleaning the teeth (ie. "You may experience some discomfort here because the gums are red"). My family has been using Dr. Lee since he took over (retired) Dr. Huang's practice. The new office is modern, bright, and well-equipped. We have a consistently pleasant experience with him, and other hygienists and the doctors that work there. Dr. Lee is honest, reasonable, and compassionate. He charges fairly for his company-insured patients and offers discounts for cash-only patients. He ever pushes on service you do not need. He has a high professional clinic standard and will readily step in to collaborate with another staff dentist to make sure the right things are done to the patients.
