They also have an in-house phlebotomist. A particularly appreciated this having had poor experiences in the past with annual blood draws. I would definitely recommend Dr. Grossmann, and her whole staff for your medical needs. The staff is polite appointments are almost always on time and run quickly and smoothly. I feel like I have plenty of time to discuss any issues or concerns without being rushed but also don't spend a lot of time waiting within the appointment to speak to anybody.

I really like Dr. Crear and some of the PAs so it's a shame that the messaging service is not held to a high standard. Honestly, it's like talking to a child...but one who clearly uses AI to polish their grammar. The level of incompetence - with incorrect prescriptions called in and incorrect information relayed - is concerning. I hope they don't have these medical assistants completing tasks that require common sense, like relaying important test results. I know practices are trying to increase profits, especially those practices that are owned by private equity (which this place may be--IDK). But please consider your patients. Don't run a competent practice into the ground by having these assistants do what medical professionals should be doing. Employ some actual nurses to answer patient questions for god's sake, not just "medical assistants."

So I went in and waited 40 minutes and they came out and told me there was some confusion on the order and they needed input from Dr. Warfield but she's out of office so PA Lauren Hodgkins is needed but she's busy too. That order had been in their system for 4 weeks before I went in. How is there suddenly some confusion on the order? I had to leave for a meeting so I was forced to postpone by a day. This was very annoying but I was willing to offer some grace. I called ahead today to see if the order issue was resolved. They said they'd speak with the doctor and call me back. Of course they didn't, so I called back and started to get frustrated. The problem is that this bloodwork requires fasting and I couldn't wait long before my day had to begin. They didn't seem to care about it. I was mid sentence explaining that to the second person I spoke with and instead of listening to me, she left the call. In my 38 years of being alive on planet Earth, I've never had a healthcare employee hang up on me in the middle of a moment like this. The apathy is shocking and she doesn't deserve to be in this field. Fire whoever that is immediately. I called back and after 3 attempts to get someone on the phone (3 subsequent calls) canceled my appointment and my bloodwork. I'm never going back to this practice, and it has everything to do with their front staff. They are bitter, rude, unhappy, and unhelpful. They fail to return calls and VMs often. So you're better off finding a clinic that won't disrespect you like that.

No amount of sleep helped or caffeine made me feel alert or awake. My appointment with Amy was to go over the results of my blood exam, specifically my testosterone levels. I was in my early 30s at this time and I scored about 400 on my testosterone, which is borderline medically low. When I asked Amy if there was anything that can be done she quickly said "no, there's nothing you can do and nothing I can do to help you" When I asked if there were any changes in my life style that I can change that may help bring up my testosterone level? I asked could changes in my diet or sleep help? she quickly and abruptly said "no." And told me to go to a men's clinic. The more I learned about how your body creates testosterone helped me understand that everything she said was either a lie or untrue. Testosterone can directly be impacted by getting restful sleep and your diet absolutely plays a strong part in the creation of testosterone. Amy either did not care or did not know about how to help me, not only that, she seemed rude, unsympathetic, and my interaction with her was the last one I ever had or ever will have with Austin regional clinic. I took her advice and made Total Men's my PCP and washed my hands of terrible doctors like her. She is exactly the kind of person that AI needs to put out of a job.
