Just a lil late night spot
    Erin E.

Yaaas. I love finding little late night hole in the wall spots! This was a great find! My guy and I split a shrimp po' boy that was enough to fill both of our empty tanks. The quality was just as notable as the quantity. It came perfectly dressed with a side of done truly stellar potato salad that put even my grandmothers potato salad to shame! (Sorry Grandma). The menu fits simple and cheap, the place isn't overly clean or fancy but the food was really fresh, well prepared, and much appreciated after a night of roaming and drinking our way through Frenchmen and the French Quarter,

This may be a great wing place BUT my wife and I only come here for the PO BOYS!!! She orders the catfish and I order the chicken one!! Ya'll I don't know why these are soooo good but they are!! It's about the only Po Boy I will eat in NOLA and everything I'm on Bourbon Street, I make sure to stop in. My chicken Po Boy had fried pieces of chicken, mayo, lettuce, extra pickles and wrapped in a wonderful French baguette! My wife said the catfish is delish! She agrees this is the only place she would order a Po Boy in NOLA! Maybe next time we will try wings but this officially our designated spot! Happy Yelping!

    No lemon pepper.

First time trying this place based on reviews and I guess you have to dine in for those ratings to be true. I ordered 10 lemon pepper wings and when my order arrived it was 15 regular fried wings with no lemon pepper. A simple mistake I'm sure so I called the restaurant to let them know and after 4 transfers and 20 mins later they approved giving me the order I originally asked for when I called. They asked me to return the other wings which I thought was odd but I did as requested. If you ordered regular hot wings on this date there was a chance you received the ones I had to send back. Needless to say I will not be ordering from them again.

I'm glad I'm the first to review this awesome hole in the wall chicken wings place. We ordered the lemon pepper wings and the wings are big and crunchy. It's a little pricey but everything in the quarter is tourist prices.

    Simple menu = great food.

Always to have make a stop here when we are in NOLA! Great late night pizza and wings! One of my favorite places in the Quarters.

No, they actually DON'T deliver or take online orders. Don't even try. Save yourself the hour wait to be notified of this.

The app said the order will be ready in 30 minutes and to my surprise when I showed up 25 minutes later, they had my order all bagged up and ready to go. I also need to add that my houseguest love these wings and ate every one of them.

We ended up at a little plaza and saw the sign for Bayou Hot WIngs. We made no attempt to look this place up and went in to check it out. What a good sign, first picture we saw was Adam Richman and there was a small blurb that he called this one of the best wings. We decided to check it out and there was no turning back....mainly due to the hour long damn wait for a ride back downtown NOLA. I ordered the hot wings and a drink. My friend got hot wings and some fries. The place had a lot of people placing orders and seemed super popular. It didn't take long and we were out of here with our wings. We decided to eat on some tables that were outside. Beautiful night and the wings were really good. There was pretty decent texture on it and it was sauced well but not over sauced were the wings were swimming in sauce. The heat wasn't bad, a decent level for sure. I'd definitely come back if I was in the area...or would come after every Tulane game. Thanks Adam Richman for dropping in here and convincing me...pretty easily after seeing your reco here.

When visiting New Orleans, we stumbled across The Rum House and got curious. With a name like that,…read moreI figured they had to know rum, so we decided to give it a try. Luckily, we arrived during happy hour. We started with the tuna ceviche, which was half off. At only $8, it was an incredible value. The fish tasted very fresh, clean, and was beautifully presented. My only complaint was that it needed a little more lime and salt to really make the flavors pop. I'd absolutely order it again at happy hour, but at full price I'd hope for a little more seasoning. For drinks, we tried several. The Rum Punch didn't disappoint. It reminded me of a Hurricane but without the heavy grenadine flavor, which I personally prefer. Next was a creamy white rum cocktail with a pineapple garnish (I can't remember the name). It was surprisingly strong, which I loved since rum is usually a softer spirit. It was just a little sweeter than my taste, so I probably wouldn't order it again. The star of the night was the Piña Colada. It was honestly one of the best I've ever had. It wasn't overly sweet, had an incredibly smooth, creamy texture, and was topped with whipped cream and a rum floater that was absolutely perfect. They told me it's double blended, and whatever they're doing works. My only complaint? No maraschino cherry! I'm sorry, but a piña colada just isn't complete without one. One thing to keep in mind is that piña coladas tend to drink more like dessert than a strong cocktail. I had two and barely caught a buzz, but honestly I didn't care because they were that good. We also sampled the White Peach Sangria, and to me it tasted very similar to Moscato. If you're a Moscato fan, you'll probably love it. Overall, I'd definitely come back. Between the happy hour deals, the rum cocktails, and especially that piña colada, The Rum House is absolutely worth a visit. The piña colada would be the first thing I'd order again.
