    Fresh hot Coffee

Came in today with my husband for breakfast, I got a coffee and the breakfast sandwich with extra crispy hash browns it was really good and was really fresh. The service was really good even though the diner was somewhat full with a lot of people. My husband got the classic eggs Benedict with hash browns and a coffee also. The restaurant was clean and the staff always make sure you're well taken care of and that you have what you need. Yes this restaurant is small but it's a great little mom and pop restaurant and it's ran by great people.

We enjoyed the old school atmosphere with a dark wood interior and creative mountain silhouette booth dividers with backgrounds made from beans! The vibe inside was welcoming and Patty, our waitress was an absolute hoot! We loved her. My husband and I each had omelettes; mine with fruit and biscuits and gravy, his with home fries (he's still raving about how perfect they were) and a side pancake. Everything cooked perfectly to our specifications. My only critique is the processed cheese on my omelette. I'm still coming back though - I need some more of the good old days in my life! This is a lodge style coffee shop not a snooty food boutique. Come for the good old days of Ma and Pa owned diners. This place is a dose of nostalgia with a smile.

I like to try new breakfast spots. I came out here from Rancho, based on the reviews. I'm glad I didn't come yesterday, because they would've been closed. They are open Wednesday through Monday, closed on Tuesdays. As it is named, it has the theme of a lodge, inside and out. I come in, and I get the vibe that it is just a down home neighborhood place. Some people sitting and visiting, some reading the paper waiting for their food, etc..... I was served by Leslie, and she was so incredibly friendly and helpful. She asked if it was my first time there, which it was, she suggested things on the menu, told me that the hashbrowns were freshly grated, the home fries were well seasoned, and the biscuits and gravy were very good. I'm trying to eat a little bit healthier, so I decided to go for the seasoned ground beef and veggie scramble. It came with spinach, mushrooms, onions, and bell pepper, which I asked them to leave off. I also asked for decaf, and she made me a fresh pot. The breakfast was fantastic! The ground beef was well seasoned, the veggies were good, and the eggs were just right. Not too loose, and not too tough. They must use a good quality, ground beef, because the dish did not eat greasy at all. Everything tasted delicious. I asked for fruit instead of potatoes, and it came with a nice side order of very fresh fruit. The biscuit I had with it was light and fluffy, the coffee was very good, and she kept my cup full. The price was extremely reasonable, and they do a military/veterans discount. There is a very small upcharge if you use plastic instead of cash. She told me ahead of time, and asked me if that was OK. Of course it was. I'm glad that she asked. Just a fantastic restaurant. I will be back. Thank you.

Stopped by for a quick lunch today. Had a burger and some fruit. The restaurant is very cool. It's like being at a ski lodge in Tahoe. The staff were great and were very nice. I'd definitely recommend this place for breakfast and lunch.

Seen a sign, stopped in to try it out. Man it was soooo good. The beautiful blond waitress greeted us, she made us sit down and get comfy. We ordered food to go and she talked to us until we left. It's family owned and operated. This will absolutely be our new favorite spot.

My daughter and I were in the area and hungry, I wanted to show her the restaurant I used to love. It's still amazing and the same quality and great service. Wait is a bit long, but worth it and the food comes out correct and quick. I had veg head omelette with sourdough toast and potatoes. My child had the Mickey Mouse pancake with fruit and eggs. 10/10 food and service. Thank you for making our brunch date out a smooth and delicious experience.

During that time, they served me a glass of water and I quickly ordered the BBQ Chicken sandwich - I had looked at the menu earlier - with a side of fruit. The sandwich was really great! They served the sandwich with the grilled, chicken breast, bacon, and BBQ sauce with the lettuce, tomatoes, and onions on the side. I'm not a fan of onions, so I did not have those, but it was nice to have the lettuce and the tomatoes have that nice taste when it hasn't been smothered in BBQ sauce or others as it's being cooked by the chicken like other places prepare them. I honestly left satisfied. This place really did live up to the recommendations and reputation it has. Our gym, Positive Impact Fitness always talks about this place and it was really worth it. I shall return in due time.

Pancakes were fluffy and large the portions with everything were actually huge we couldn't finish our food. Good customer service too! Biscuit particularly not good as it was doughy, wet , chewy and tasted of too much baking powder. I did like the big chunks of meat. The country potatoes were typical diner quality, but I just don't like country style breakfast potatoes. No substitution offered. Server was efficient if a bit rough around the edges. I sat at the counter. She made sure that I had everything I needed. That's okay, I'm happy enough, don't need a smile from some one who's bringing me food. Oh, yeah just like my old sourpuss mother. Now the value for the dollar issue... The breakfast was $22, the unremarkable coffee was $4.50. After tax and a $5 tip I was out the door for $33. I recently had a wwwwaaaayyy more satisfying breakfast at Mario's Early Toast for half that price. Hot off the griddle is a big improvement over a Denny's. But that's a pretty low bar for judgement. Sorry, no return for me.
