Sweet tea was one of my go-to spots during Covid but I stopped going after awhile. I was craving boba recently so I decided to stop by with my partner and brother. We got there an hour after they opened and were the only customers. The shop is super cute and I love the teddy bear theme! They have a lot of drink options on their menu so it was kind of hard to pick something. The service was okay. The girl working there was super new and didn't have any recommendations so we ordered two of the brown sugar milk drinks. I was a little surprised the worker was left by herself on her second day but she let us know her manager was on the way because she was struggling with the lid machine. The manager came by and actually fixed our drinks because I thought the milk drink was what I had previously gotten. I appreciated that he was nice and informative about it and made me a pearl milk tea drink instead. Our drinks were good but the only drawback was that we waited over 20 minutes for our drinks. I'll most likely visit again though since it's so close by! read more

I really wanted to like this place because it's so cute with the bear mascot and blue color theme but it was a miss with the drink. I ordered the oolong milk tea and was so disappointed with it. Didn't taste milk. Didn't taste the tea. Felt like I was drinking water with boba. I probably won't be back but the search for a go-to Roseville boba spot continues. Come here a couple times a month to get some of our favorite drinks! We usually come towards the evening so it's not very busy. Staff is always friendly and providing great customer service. I would rate this place a 3 but this place was my first time ever trying Hojicha and I've been drinking these kind of drinks since I was a teen and now I'm a senior citizen lol. First of all the place was clean, nice staff. The decor is what you expect from a milk tea/boba spot in recent years. Bright colorful social media ready. Prices seem to be on par with everybody else. So be aware if it doesn't say Tea on it, there isn't any caffeine. You are just buying more of a milk base dessert drink. We also ordered the Strawberry Blossom. I would pass on that. Just seemed like strawberry milk. The creamy taro wasn't bad. They said they used real ube. It tasted like it so I trust it. My Hojicha latte though was the best. At the time they said I couldnt adjust sweetness, but a review here said they did. I would have preferred it to be a little less sweet, but it was still ok how it was as the bold flavor still stood over the sweet. I added boba the Hojicha and creamy taro. The boba was good/great. Soft and chewy and seemed fresh. You drink boba for a while you know when its not. The problem is this was regular boba. Not honey boba. I think most places now use honey boba as default. Why? Because when you have it with the drink in your mouth its fine, but as you drink the liquid and just have the balllzzz in your mouth, it is now flavorless and to newbie boba drinkers it might be unpleasant. It's been a while since I had regular boba like this so I realize we have been spoiled by honey boba. I think if they started using honey boba instead of the unsweetened boba it would up their game. So overall, if I didnt get the Hojicha, I probably wouldve ranked this place a 3. But this place introduced me to Hojicha so it got a bonus star. read more

We came here after lunch in the area. This was our second time here, and it's never busy, so we were served relatively quick. The drinks weren't anything special honestly. They were just okay. I got the Strawberry Blossom, which was basically just strawberry jam and milk. The others got something from their Creamy series, which had an ice cream base to the drinks. There are better boba places, but I like the cups they use here. I personally reuse them for drinks at home instead of throwing them out. read more

Pros: Ordered the Hojicha latte. It was tasty and adjusted just right with my request of 50% sweetness. I really enjoyed my drink. Customer service was also nice. There was one person working and he was kind and patient. There's low volume music playing which gave the ambience a relaxing feel. There was a sudden rush of customers after me and with just one person working, I could tell it took some time to make their drinks. I don't think I would have liked waiting that long for my drink but it was one person working... Cons: I went to use the bathroom and could not find a coat hanger or anything to hang my jacket and backpack on. I came in to do some work on my computer and they did not have any wifi. I understand not every boba cafe will offer this but it's nice when they have it available for people who need to work for a couple hours while enjoying their drink and dessert. read more

Came on a Friday night and it wasn't too busy. The inside was brightly lit with cute white seating. We loved the adorable bear logo throughout. The menu had your standard drinks and some specials. The desserts sounded great and wish we could try them all. We decided the magic mango, Oreo smoothie, and cookies and cream Swiss roll. The magic mango was a mango milk and was amazing! I've never thought the two could work together but it does! Our drinks came in the cutest cups with the bear lid. I'm so sad we didn't take a picture! I grabbed this for lunch since I work nearby. They got everything done super fast and even had a cute take out bag to use! Takoyaki was delicious to eat. I like that they put the sauce in a cup on the side for me so I can choose how much I want on my takoyaki. The flaming tiger pearl milk tea was very sweet, I think next time I come back, I'll do it at 25% sweetness instead of 50%. The boba was also very chewy and good for a hot day. read more

We really liked this place! This was our first time here. This boba place is in the Bel Air parking lot off Baseline and Foothills in Roseville. There is plenty of parking. It was super cute and clean inside. The girl at the register was really sweet and helpful. The menu is pretty extensive and they also have sweets like cream puffs as well. Stopped by here when we were in the area. I think one of my pet peeves is when a menu has vague names and no descriptions. It either makes me feel bad that I have to ask the workers about different drinks, or it makes me just settle on a drink so I don't have to keep asking. That happened today and I didn't like any of the drinks I asked about so I ended up just getting a watermelon bubbling drink. Tasty, but nothing special whatsoever. My husband had the flaming creme brulee boba milk. It was good but boba was not as fresh as I'd like. Also the top was not nearly as bruleed as you would expect. I don't really plan on going out of my way to come back here but if I'm in the area I'd have to research what drink I'd want ahead of time. read more

I can't believe I'm rating this place 5-stars! But, the boba itself is that good. In fact, the boba may be the best tasting boba I've ever had! The staff here are friendly, polite, and do a good job, but, they are not quick! You do wait a bit for your treats here. I ordered Thai iced tea flavour milk tea with boba; yum! Bubble Tea shop in West Roseville! So happy to see a new bubble tea shop near my home where I don't have to drive across town to get my boba fix. This one is located in The Brickyard at the Bel-Air shopping center (next to Bel-Air) on Baseline Rd and Foothills Blvd. Clean, modern and spacious interior with cute wall art for your iG photos. I placed an order at the counter for 5 milk teas and smoothies: Oolong Milk Tea, Mango Jasmine Tea, Taro Milk Tea, Oreo smoothie, and Avocado smoothie. I had the Oreo smoothie... they skimped on the Oreo cookies which brought the taste down to somewhat bland. Still an enjoyable drink, though, but it could use a little more sweetness. I'll adjust the sweetness level on my next visit and also include boba topping to my drink. Kids enjoyed their drinks except one child complained about her Oolong Milk Tea and said it was too sweet. Upgrade to Large size for just $.50 cents... I like Big Cups and I cannot lie! LoL! They have a Loyalty Program in which 75 stars earns you a free drink (earn 1 Star for every $1 spent). I appreciate the intention if white furniture, but the white chairs look comfy but are super stained - yuck. And, not sure why but being an HR professional, they seem to have a pretty high turnover the last year or so. Decided to try this place out and was pretty disappointed. Ordered 2 drinks totaling $16. Threw in a tip, no thank you. Worker dropped an empty cup on the floor, picked it up off the floor and set the dirty cup on the counter where the drinks are prepared. When she stopped blending 1 of our drinks, she grabbed the dirty cup, lifted the blender, and before she went to pour I asked for a cup that hadnt been on the floor. She said she wasnt going to use it and grabbed a fresh cup but never threw away the dirty one, just moved it to another spot on the counter for the next poor customer. Our smoothie has chunks so big they won't up up a Boba size straw. Needless to say, won't be back. read more

Sweet Lea is located in the Brickyard Shopping Center in West Roseville next to Bel-Air. Sweetea has a great selection of milk teas, teas and smoothies as well as a selection of different types of boba and jellies. They also have a selection of snacks and their special featured item was curry fish balls. We selected pina colada, strawberry colada and oreo cookie. Each with regular boba. The drinks come with reusable hard plastic container and for the price, who can was about $6.75ish for each, not bad for the size of the drink. The staff is friendly and always willing to share their fav's or recommend a mixture that may not be on the menu but have the ingredients to make. So if you're in West Roseville and have that crave for a milk tea, smoothie or tea with some boba, give Sweetea a try. I ordered my go-to Jasmine milk tea and it definitely wasn't as sweet as many other boba places, so I can go with my usual 50% sweet order. I usually have to ask for 25-30%. They also offer a lactose free option that isn't oat milk or nut milk. A nice variety of toppings like ube as well, I'll definitely try adding that in on my next visit. I loved their customer service by a young gentleman...he was sweet. That being said I was somewhat dissappinted in their food and drinks. First, the drinks. The one I got had bit too much of milk made bland (not too much tea flavor....I felt like I was drinking a flavored milk). Second, the food. I've been here a handful of times since the first visit and each order after seems to be less and less appealing. The wait times are pretty significant so I quickly realized that ordering online in advance is the best option. Most recently ordered three drinks, which ran close to twenty bucks. Plenty of parking in the shared lot. Clean interior. No outdoor seating but lots of indoor seating. Hand sanitizer available at the front counter, and the staff wear masks. Very few customers in the late afternoon on a weekday. The service was quick, and the staff were friendly. The jewel lid design for the cups are super cute. Some of the drinks are double-lidded, with one sealing the drink shut, like most boba places, and another curved lid on top. The lychee fruit tea was double-lidded, while the peach bubbling only had the curved lid on top. The lychee fruit tea was good, though I would add a topping if I had to get it again. The peach bubbling was okay. It did spill out a little because it isn't a double-lidded drink. The bubbling drinks seem like they're just sparkling water with cut fruit (and maybe a syrup?). The taste of the fruit was reminiscent of fruit cups that you would get in a school cafeteria. I like that they have more basic drinks priced on the lower end of the spectrum. Ok so since the grand opening, I have returned here a handful of times and am updating my review to 5 stars! This is primarily because of the dessert menu. Omg you guys, the desserts are so good. I've basically tried everything but my favorites are the cream puff, with the lightest and most delicious sweet cream piped inside, the crepe cake, and the delicious roll cake with fruit. The roll cake actually had 5 slices so I shared it with my family who really enjoyed the airy sponge cake and not too sweet whipped cream. I've also swapped my drink order to only drinking jasmine tea drinks or the fruit teas. Their jasmine tea is so good and I like it with the kiwi tea. The worst place to get a drink. I've had some mediocre boba before but it's never been as bad as this place. Their concept and aesthetic is cute and their service is nice but that's all there is to it. The menu has the typical drinks you can get at a boba shop. I ordered the earl grey milk tea with boba. The tea was super watered down and wasn't steeped enough. The milk to tea ratio was basically nonexistent. My friend asked them to add more milk for me and it was still the same. You can tell by the color of it that it's not right. I asked for 25% ice and the cup was basically filled halfway with ice. That much ice with a watered down recipe? No thank you. My friend also got something similar and it basically was water. I don't know what went wrong in the kitchen but their drinks aren't good. The boba itself isn't bad. The texture was nice but I couldn't taste the sugar...probably because the drink was too watery. It's such a bummer because they have potential, but they need to work on their drinks. I was excited to have boba and getting this ruined my day. Truly was a bad omen and I'm not even exaggerating. I hate wasting food but I took a couple sips of this and threw it in the trash. I have been looking for a good boba place and tried this one for the first time. Sweetea was super cute!! I LOVED the cute interior and the logo of this place!! The drink came with an extra lid (dome shape over the regular plastic tight cover) so I didn't have to worry about making a mess when I inserted a straw. I thought it was a good idea.
