My beautiful wife & I are vacationing and for our first night we decided to try this establishment. We are very glad we did! We enjoyed the outdoor seating. My wife really liked the muffuletta (plantation). I enjoyed immensely my pizza with meatball. The sauce , cheese, crust & meat combined perfectly. Caitlin was an awesome server. She was on fire! We both highly recommend the Bayside Gourmet!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Super cute place, absolutely not what I was expecting when I looked at other reviews.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were passing through Islamorada on the way to Marathon and stumbled across this place. If you blink, you miss it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior transports you back to the 80-90's and it's absolutely so cute![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]From the vintage arcade games, to the service and the delicious food, you can't go wrong.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] 10/10 in my books and can't wait to visit again.

Very few 5 star rated restaurants in Islamorada but this one was easily. The waiting area had retro standup arcade games - played Ms Pac Man and got the high score. There about eight tables in the small restaurant and outside seating but way too humid out for that idea. The decor was 1980's themed with Blockbuster Video boxes on the walls in addition to retro album covers like Men at Work and Van Halen. The Grouper Reuben sandwich and the Baby Spinach Salad with Tuna were very fresh and tasty and reasonably priced. The bathroom was updated and clean.

Definitely the best food while in the Keys! We loved the outside patio. Small with 5 tables well spread out. The food was amazing. We split an entree salad as well as an entree so we could have dessert. They have amazing pasta dishes we let our waitress choose for us. Same with the desserts. She did amazing! We split the Greek salad one night and the Caesar another night. We had a seafood pasta dish, shrimp di pomodoro one night and spaghetti and meatballs another night.

Their hook and cook is the best tasting. We did try their pizza the night before and that was delicious too!

    Interior. Casual. Comfortable.

This is a gem and not touristy. Locals love it for the food and prices. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice large outdoor patio and old-time video games make this place an enjoyable spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service is always exceptional. Grouper Reuben is the best in the Keys.

    Key Lime Pie

Came here one night as I was driving through to stop and get some dinner. I was able to get parking right up front. The cashier was super nice and really helpful. Her name was Ashley and she just answered all my questions and helped me out with nothing but patience! I ordered the Chicken Angelini dish and a key lime pie to go. It didn't take long and my food was ready! The portion of the dish was great. I decided to sit outside and eat some before heading back on the road and Omg it was piping hot!!!! (Love to see it) I will say although the dish portion was great, and the chicken was nice, the "garlic white wine sauce" was not much of anything. It just tasted like oil. Nothing else. So I would maybe order again with a different sauce if possible. As for the key lime pie, I take my key lime pies seriously and this one did not disappoint!! It had more sweetness to it, which usually I am against since I firmly believe key lime pies are meant to be a perfect blend of tart and sweet, HOWEVER, this pie blew my mind because the "sweetness" came from something else and I can't put my finger on it but I loved it. Kinda tasted like the caramelized sugar used for flan, so maybe they used caramelized sugar on the crust?? Not sure what it was but I loved it. Really enjoyable and can't wait to come back and try more items off this menu.

The Grouper Reuben is hands down the best fish sandwich I've ever had. Every time I'm in the keys I make sure to have it at least once.

Their pizza is thin crust like NY style, but that's where the similarities end. I found the crust a bit flavorless and the sauce lacking in spices as well. The pepperoni and meatball pizzas were well topped, but the spinach garlic pizza we ordered had barely anything on it. For a large pizza, I'd say each slice had 2-3 small spinach leaves, tops. It was extremely sparse considering you pay around $3 for extra toppings. It's edible for sure but if you want a solid slice of NY pizza, I'd skip this spot.

I could say this has been the worst dining experience I've had in a long time. Not only was the service horrible, but they hardly had any of the items on the menu. I remember the meatballs, pizza and rolls being amazing so we ordered that. The meatballs had potential but they must have been frozen and were warm on the outside but the middle was cold. There was no way of getting the waiter to tell him since we waited about 25 minutes to get our order in. Mind you we were the only ones in the restaurant. The rolls were not edible. The pizza was ok, but the crust had no salt whatsoever so you couldn't eat it. I was going to try the dessert but opted not to since it would have taken half hour more. It's such a shame because they were so good. Never again. I usually do not leave bad reviews, but this was just total neglect of a once good establishment.
