While staying at the three waters hotel, we decided to grab breakfast here one morning. Our waitress was super friendly and very attentive to our party of five. We ordered a variety of things, including coffee and apple juice as well as the egg breakfast which can come with a variety of side options and bacon or sausage, eggs cooked your way. The overnight oats were delicious as well as the avocado toast with smoked salmon are a good portion size. They have lots of seating in indoor and out and can accommodate larger groups as well. read more

I made reservations the same morning for brunch and noted it was our anniversary. The restaurant has a very nice setting inside. The open kitchen set up is my husband's favorite. Once seated (which was immediately) we were provided complimentary champagne. The chef greeted us on the way to our seat and then walked the floor a spoke to each table. The waiter was knowledgeable in the menu. The only short coming was the egg Benedict was over cooked. One the yolk was fully solid and the another the yolk had a solid shell with a little wetness inside the harden yolk. I do believe this would have been quickly resolved if I said something but we had such a good experience and the French toast was sooooooo good, I didn't bring it up to the staff. Kindler could have been kinder. We stopped in for brunch and wasn't thrilled w the outcome. Menu seems promising w a few creative options. Maybe I chose the wrong dish but regardless, the execution was poor. The huge sourdough toast had 1/4 of an avocado so I asked for more. Then realized the Corona cheese was missing. They brought it. No biggy. But the dish lacked some love. Expecting elevated service and food at an elevated type restaurant didn't equate. It's a nice restaurant. Decor is welcoming. Bar drinks looked good. WOW is this place worth the hype!! We were staying in a sister-hotel down the road and stopped in here our first night in Key West and did it set the bar high. We made a reservation day of and were able to squeeze in late, but still snagged a table! Our waitress was so helpful with recommendations for appetizers and entrees for my *very* indecisive husband. The corn and lump crab fritters were to die for, in addition to the key lime pie being the best we had our entire visit to Key West (which is saying something!). It's a beautiful restaurant with ambient lighting, and enough space to have actual conversation without feeling overwhelmed by people. Elegant atmosphere with beautiful attention to detail. The service was also great. I visited for my birthday and enjoyed the the oysters as a starter. The oysters were perfection. The entrée special of the day was the short rib, which was wonderfully tender. The grilled lobster was also amazing, with great smokiness from the wood-burning oven, though it would have been easier to eat if it had been fully removed from the shell and presented on top of shell. My reason for giving four stars is the dessert. The cake was completely underwhelming, and the suggested ice cream pairing ended up costing $20. Most restaurants offer at least a complimentary scoop for birthdays, but not here. I wouldn't have minded the charge if the dessert had been memorable, but paying that much to be disappointed was a let down. Hopefully the dessert menu gets an upgrade in the future. We had a very memorable dinner here this evening. The restaurant is gorgeous and laid out perfectly. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and were guided to our table by the window. The staff are friendly, very helpful and we never wanted for anything. I had the chicken, my husband had steak and nephew had fish. Everything was presented beautifully and cooked to perfection. The seasoning on my chicken dish was outstanding as were the potatoes. We had the butter cake and key lime pie for dessert and it was a great way to end a wonderful meal. I enjoyed the ambiance and the service was wonderful. Blanca was our server and she was delightful. Very attentive, sweet and service-oriented. She was knowledgeable of the menu and able to respond to questions. I was somewhat disappointed in my meal, unfortunately...I don't know if it was just me, but except for the special dessert and the fabulous monkey bread, the main dish wasn't very flavorful...I had ordered the snapper with bok choy and coconut rice. The bar staff was very friendly, we loved the ambiance overall and the food was excellent. (We don't have anything like us where we live!) The prawns and scallops both came highly recommended and both dishes were excellent. The prawns were huge! Night 2 we ordered basically the entire menu! Monkey bread, chargrilled octopus , piri piri chicken and the strip steak. Lots of flavor in everything and beautiful presentations. Kindler is absolutely fantastic! The second you walk in, the ambiance is super cool and cozy, and their cocktails are totally on point--seriously, world-class drinks. The quality of food is great all the way through. We ate a lot, but the lobster was the absolute best thing on the menu; it was cooked perfectly and so sweet, you have to try it. On top of all that, the service was exceptional, especially from our server, Isa. She was friendly, super helpful, and made sure we felt completely taken care of. The food was good. The service was a little too slowww. Took over an hour for our entrees, however the 3 stars comes from the lack of AC. It was so hot that it was difficult to enjoy the experience. Apparently, this is not unusual since their wood fire oven kitchen is open to the dining room area and the AC vents are spaced very far apart. I think with some tweaking, they'll get there, but for now, it leaves a lot to be desired. read more
