I first used these guys in 2011 on a commercial job in Redwood City. They were the sub contractor of the general I had hired. They installed 6 units of various types in our 9K sq ft. office building. There was no issues with HVAC during construction. We signed up for a maintenance plan for them and have had minor issues in the last 10 years and they immediately came out and fixed it. In 2020, I was looking for a company to install air conditioning into my home that had none. Dealing with them direct this time (not through a general contractor) was easy and painless. The owner Mazen is responsive and knowledgeable. Their workers were polite and were sure to clean up every day after they were done. They also worked well with my other contractors that were doing work in the same space. The install way more complicated than I thought, but the end result is a wonderfully climate controlled house. The system is DEAD QUITE and works as it should. I had them come back one time to make some adjustments, and a text message to the owner got that done with workers out the next day to make the adjustments. Very happy with the service... My advice to others not getting great service would be ask to speak the the owner, Mazen. read more

The technicians from Bayside Mechanical performed a good job on a recent HVAC re-installation. They were professional, courteous, and prompt. I recommend two improvements for the administrative office that coordinates the technicians: 1) confirm appointments in writing. Lisa had her wires crossed on days and times for appointments, which resulted in a 3 day delay. Despite her scheduling me and confirming me one week in advance, she had the day wrong. This can be solved with a digital or written confirmation. 2) respond to voicemails in a timely manner. I called during business hours, and left my name, number, and email on the voicemail. I received no call back after 2 business days, and so called again to finally connect with Lisa. read more

I have call the Bayside Mechanical to check my water heater, and when the arrived and check it they determined, that there was water leak and the igniter was defective. The issues started afterwards. Waited for a full day for an estimate and he following day after several of my calls for an estimate they call me later the afternoon and they told me they had a plumber to replace the heater (rate was going to be based on an after hours rate) as the tech was available in the evening. BUT here's the strange of the conversation! I asked for an estimate "Sonia" and she did not have one, I asked for type and capacity of the Heater and she did not know, I asked how much labor and parts and did not know. She further told me, she was check with her boss and get back to me. Well, guess, she never did. Same afternoon, when to Home Depot and got what I needed no hassle got a clear estimate and installation the next day. Be careful with this outfit. read more

This summer, I wanted to replace the 25+ year old furnace in my home as well as my ducts, which I was relocating from under my home to my attic. I chose Vinny and Bayside for the project due to their reasonable quote and the fact that Bayside is Diamond Certified, plus the very positive reviews here on Yelp. I couldn't be happier with my decision. I live in the SF Mission and while some may argue that I don't need Central AC, but my place has glass wall to wall and receives sunlight from sunrise to sunset making it at a minimum 10 degrees hotter than the outside. After reviewing some quotes, I decided to go with Bayside due to their Diamond Certification, Competitive Pricing and Product Recommendation (Brand and Capacity). Vincent was very helpful providing the necessary information for the HOA to review and approve the project. Once approved, Vincent was very receptive on the HOA Installation requirements and prior to installation he, the installation crew and I discussed the best way to install. They met all the requests and were very accommodating. The electrician (not his crew) was a different story. But after some back and forth and Vincent as the intermediary we reached a compromise that met all needs (code and aesthetics). The installation was completed on time and now I have a very comfortable home that no longer is kept in the dark hidden from the outside by shades and drapes. I hired this company to perform a furnace cleaning and investigate a clicking noise from a damper. After the first time they came, the heat from one zone in my house stopped working. After a second visit none of the heating was working. After a third visit they just kept everything open so there was no control of the heating at all. I was then told how my system was to blame and that I need to replace half, or all of my damper system. When I asked how much it would cost they have completely ignored me. When I talked to the project manager at the company he was yelling at me on the phone. I have never seen such unprofessional behavior. Through these awful three weeks we either had no heat or overheating for my two young children. I have worked with many contractors and by far this is the worst experience I have ever had. I don't know if it is incompetence or dishonesty, but either way I would not use this company at all. As a doctor I take an oath to do no harm and we should be able to expect the same from someone we are trusting to help fix our home. I have since hired another company and they were super knowledgeable, efficient and professional. read more

My AC went out last week so I called around for a repair guy. Bayside Mechanical was able to fit me in the next day. Once they were here they quickly got it working again. The tech's were very professional when I spoke with them and the office staff put me at ease when I asked about new Covid rules. As an owner of a fairly new Mitsubishi Mr. Slim ductless A/C and heating system for our home, we developed a problem with one of the air handler units. We of course contacted the original installer (AirMaze Services), but unfortunately they appear to have gone out of business. Knowing how specialized these systems are, you must make sure that any service performed is handled by a Mitsubishi certified facility. If a non-certified technician services the unit, Mitsubishi could void the warranty. I began calling companies from the list of approved providers in my area. I came across Bayside Mechanical. My immediate instinct was to check Yelp. I have used plenty of service providers that receive rave reviews and turn out to be disappointing. I decided to give them a chance. Upon first contacting Bayside, I spoke to Patrick and Vincent and they were both very helpful in listening to my situation and what they thought was necessary to remedy the problem. We had someone come out the next day to inspect and confirm that we had a faulty air handler unit. They communicated their findings to Mitsubishi corporate and made every effort to get the warranty process moving. What makes this particularly stressful is that my spouse requires a specific temperature for health reasons, and being without A/C could be very problematic. Bayside understood this and made it happen. Under the Mitsubishi warranty, we were covered for parts for a period of 5 years. Vincent worked with Mitsubishi to determine what was needed and how long it would take. We were all set to get our air handler repaired when Mitsubishi came through BIG TIME and decided to replace our faulty air handler unit with a brand new one - as this should not have occurred in the first place. Vincent adjusted the plan of action and we had our new A/C unit installed within a couple of days. We just experienced an incredible heat wave and our Mitsubishi system helped tremendously. DO NOT WORK WITH THESE GUYS. We recently had a complete remodel to our home due to fire and water damage. The house needed to be completely reduct and new heating and air conditioning units installed. Thousands of dollars later and five months we are having issues we are having air conditioning issues. Called for an appoint, waited for a call back a day to be told it would be over 10 days before they could get to my home. Took a day off work so as to be home for the tech only to have him be a no show. 'Family Emergency' I am told after I called twice. Once to confirm what time the appointment was (they never called) and the second time to find out why no one came out. I am now waiting for yet another call back.....UGH read more

I needed to start using an old furnace and wanted to make sure it was safe to use. They came out right away and found the exhaust was not installed correctly. They said it was unsafe to use the furnace until the exhaust unit was upgraded. The price was very reasonable, the job was done well, and from bid to completion took about a week.
