Don't come to this dealership for any of your needs. Terrible customer service and here's is my example. Not gonna sugar coat anything, bought my car back in January, brand new 2020 mustang fully loaded. 4 months and 8200 miles down the road, my check engine light was flashing and i brought it in. (May 24th, 2021). No loaner car provided i waited and was told by Abraham in service my car would be done no later than that next tuesday and he would call me monday that it may be done by then. No call monday or tuesday so i go in tuesday to pick up my car. They say there is another issue with the coil pack after changing the cracked intake manifold. They change it out with a new one from another new car on the lot and send me on my way. Not even 1/4 mile down the road the check engine light comes on and i bring it right back only to get checked on for a longer period of time(once again without a loaner car or compensation) James the service manager told me that he preaches to them about how important it is to have communication with the customer. I ask that they give me a day by day call on what is the status. 2 days in a row Abraham who was in charge of, so i had to reach out to them on information on my car. Fast forward a week and Abraham is out sick and i have to call again and tell James to contact me since Abraham is out and he was short with me just trying to get me off the phone as fast as possible and being a little rude to me. So two weeks later after i drove my car after they (fixed it) and 21 days total in the shop they say it needs a new motor. 22 days today it's been in the shop still without my car, a loaner, or compensation from having to ask for rides or borrow cars. This lack of customer service is deplorable and is why after getting my car serviced, the family buying at least one car from them and servicing their car here, this is the last time we will step foot in this dealership. Like i said from this example and from what others have said, I wouldn't step foot in or do any buisness with them as I will be taking my business and family's business elsewhere. read more

Very nice salesmen. Not pushy, down to earth. This dealership is nothing fancy. The management is slow, and it takes forever to close a deal even if you walk in with cash. Really made buying a new car stressful instead of fun. Three hours!!!!! In fact you can buy a $35,000 car and they won't even offer you a coke, unless the salesman buys it out of his own pocket. Absolutely no frills while you wait. Same caliber as a Walmart auto dept. These car salesmen do not work on commission. They work off of a survey that is taken after the sale. If it's not rated perfect on everything, your sales person does not get paid. This makes it bad for things beyond their control. They can't make the finance department do a good job, and they can't control the attitudes of those people. I can't fill out the survey honestly without screwing my sales guy. Catch 22. Would I ever buy a car here again? Absolutely not, and I wouldn't recommend any friends going there either. Long Story but stick with me.... I bought a used 2015 F350 from a Dodge Dealership. 5 days after my purchase the check engine came on. I called the Dodge Dealership and was told to bring it in and they could check it out for me. Had it checked out by their Service Advisor and was told the code indicated a Crankcase Ventilation Disconnect. After researching this issue, I found it was common on this truck and year model. I made multiple attempts to call Baytown Fords Service department. Finally, at 11:08 am on 06/02 James in service actually answered the phone. I told him my issues and what I had already done. He Basically told me he really doubted that was my issue. I asked if I could bring it by so he could run a scan. I was told I would need to schedule an appointment with the service department. I was told they don't have the tools to do it. (Although a Service Advisor at Dodge Dealership had the scanner to check a Ford) I asked if it just happen to be the issue I was referring to; what would be an estimated cost. Around $800.00 is what I was told. My Research had the part from Ford for $80.00 and a service bulletin I found (18-2301) showing 0.7 hours to be charged for this repair. When I questioned the cost - James sarcastically told me "Hey Man Repairs ain't Cheap" Hung up the phone a bit aggerated and Called Cook Ford in Texas City ( I Work in Texas City) and talked to John in their Service Department. Told Him my situation, He told ME it was common and asked me to bring my truck by so he could scan it to verify - I Did and Sure enough its just what Dodge told me. When I asked for an estimate, he said he thought there was an extended warranty on this part. Guess What there was, and the repairs did not const me a dime... My assumption is IF I took my truck to Baytown Ford I would had been hit with some kind of Bill, but again that just my assumption. I have Purchased multiple vehicles from Baytown Ford over the years - and will probably purchase from them again in the future. I Have never had any issues with their Sales Department. But it will be a Cold Day In Hell before I go back to their (Anti) Service Department. read more

Very disappointed with this dealership! I scheduled my F-150 to have 2 Recalls fixed. I wanted an oil change and a brake job as well. I told Baldo the "service representative" that I wanted to see what the oil change and brake job would cost. He took down my information went out to get information on the truck. He came back and said I will give you a call when it's ready. I said I specifically asked you to tell me what the oil change and brake job would run. Baldo replied smart ellically I was going to have a brake inspection preformed. All I wanted to know was what it would cost. So I told him just fix the recalls. Baldo lost this dealership a customer. I took my Ford here for services and was jerked around all week while they had my car. The rep that had did my intake went out on a covid leave which means my car just say there. They wanted me to wait until he came back from sick leave to do anything with my car which is stupid. I spoke to the Director James who informed me he would get the warranty pushed through by the weekend, needless to say he did nothing. when I called to see what was going on the Director in the services department (James) was very rude and in fact told me that instead of contacting hos GM Michael I should be calling the Carlos to release the warranty. When I asked why he didn't call, his reply was so rude, nasty, and unprofessional. He said and I quote "I had a bunch of other stuff to do." How do you decide who's vehicle is more important? Why couldn't another rep push my warranty and get my parts ordered. Why am I being told to do someone's job. So I speak with Michael Thomas who is the GM and he was no help at all, he had James call me to tell me they are refusing to fix my car because of the review I left. What type of bs is this. Crazy thing is the review states nothing but facts. I can't believe Ford would have someone so unprofessional and rude representing them. HORRIBLE!!! FRED from the service department DON'T deal with him. My husband took our vehicle in to get a tune up where he was being charged $700, he dropped off the vehicle at 7am. "FRED" calls at around 3pm to say he hasn't done anything! not only did he do nothing to our vehicle, he goes on to say we need other things fixed starting price of $2000.00! and that's just to figure out what else needs to be fixed. I asked him specifically what needs to be done he said he needed to first fix some battery cables, really??? $2000 for battery cables? I don't think so, then he goes on saying he doesn't do partial work. Which means he isn't about to only do the tune up if he is not going to fix other existing problems. I don't know about his family income, but not all of us can fork out over 3 grand when we are budgeting car repair expenses of no less than $1000. No one asked this man to be our vehicles psychologist, we just asked for a tune up. I bought a new car three years ago and have only taken it to Baytown Ford for routine service. I currently have 70,000+ miles on the car and the service team has never recommended service as recommended in the manual or by manufacturer. When I called to discuss I was not allowed to talk to the Service Director and was treated very rudely by Baldo Gonzalez. I was told any technician that ever provided service on my car no longer works there so he can not help me. Isn't this why they keep service records for notes and documentation? I ordered a 2022 Ford F-150 King Ranch Power boost from this dealership back in October 21. It finally came in last week and I was told that the agreed upon price I was given when ordered, they weren't going to be able to sell it to me at hat price anymore. The Manager that gave me that disappointing news was Chris Interial. I have documentation of that agreed upon price as well. I called Ford Motors customer support and they were no Help. They told me that the price for a vehicle is between the customer and the dealership. Ford doesn't get involved. My argument with Ford Motors was I ordered a Ford from one of your dealers at an agreed upon price. Now that price has changed and there is nothing Ford Motors is willing to do ? I was told No and sorry. So with all this said I will NEVER spend my money on anther FORD again. And to anyone thinking about ordering a vehicle from Baytown Ford, please BEWARE. Whatever that price is when you place that order will change when the truck comes in 10-12 months later. Also please do your research on available Ford options on vehicles being produced at this time. They have removed some options from vehicles But are still charging more for the vehicle being produced. You would think since they are cutting out options the truck should be cheaper. If I could give a negative star rating, I would! I have been dealing with a warranty issue on my brand new truck that I bought in March of this year. For starters, the dealership wrecked my truck and it spent the first 2 months in the shop. Now I'm having issues with my lock actuators on my back doors. After almost 2 months of trying to get my truck into the service department to have the issue fixed, I was able to get it in this past week...after fighting with the dealership about giving me a loaner car because I couldn't be without means of transportation for a couple of days. The day I was promised my truck back and fixed came and I was happy! The service department had been in close contact with me throughout the day. They called me at 4pm and told me the mechanic was putting my truck back together and I could head there to get it. It was going to be ready by 5. At 4:30 I got a call saying that in fact my truck wasn't going to be ready, and that they had ordered the wrong part....umm....needless to say I was beyond pissed. The rental that I had was only covered until that day and the dealership said they would try to take care of another day on the rental. I told them I was just come get my truck and bring it back after they could get the right parts in to fix it. When I got to the service department to get my truck, it was pulled around and smashed up into the curb, rim touching the concrete. I went to talk to the GM, Craig Chaudoin, refused to speak with me on the phone, I decided that since I was there I would talk to him in person. Well, he tried to avoid me and didn't want to talk to me but was left with no other option. When I was finally allowed to talk to him, he wouldn't even come greet me at the front of the dealership. I was asked from across the dealership to come into an office. This is where I find the GM kicked back with a horrible attitude from the start and his foot kicked up on the desk. The first thing he said to me was "what is your problem? Why would you want to talk to me over a service problem?" I said what I needed to say, some of which wasn't very nice, after him telling me "leave the keys to the rental car and go find your truck keys and don't bring it back here to get it fixed. Take it somewhere else" What the hell kind of service is this? You can not treat customers that way. I will never go to this dealership again and I pray that if you are reading this and looking to buy a new car from here....DO NOT DO IT! read more

Well to start off with it saddens me to have to write this review. I have been a long-term customer and have purchased many vehicles from Baytown Ford. I have also had all of my service work done there also, somewhere in the neighborhood of 17 years. This morning I made multiple phone calls aimed toward their customer service manager and the manager of the dealership in an effort to fix this, however, all I received was generic excuses from the service manager, who I told the operator directly I did not want to speak with. The quality of their service department has hit rock bottom. Recent service performed by Baytown Ford service department has produced a situation where they break about as much as they fix. In the past years I have had good service or worked these problems out with them. This week phone calls placed to try to set up service appointments for three vehicles purchased at Baytown Ford were greeted with the rudest most condescending conduct imaginable. I have never experienced a business that would talk to customers in such fashion, unacceptable. Even with a service appointment booked a week prior they informed me that I would be waiting at a minimum an hour and 45 minutes for a simple oil change. My experience in purchasing automobiles from Baytown Ford was the normal car buying experience, something that I expect. I however do not expect service department personnel to treat customers with this level of unprofessionalism. It's also a little hard to stomach when you bring in a vehicle with no malfunctions for an oil change and come out with major malfunctions, like I wouldn't notice? Maybe they will get their act together, but for now I would not spend any time here. read more

Bought a used car from them and that was Ok until I got home to Houston and found no key to wheel locks = a probelm if i drove it and got a flat. Saleman was apolgetic and said he would get me the key. Parts dept. told him they had ordered and sent it to me - 2+ weeks later no sign of key. Now sale guy doesn't respond to call/texts. Called customer service. very nice lady said she would investigate and get back to me shortly - that was over 24hs ago. Bottom line: don't expect more than lip-service on after sales and outright lies appear to be the method to get you to go away. Sorry that doesnt work here these are bad people - stay away!! I live in The Woodlands and was traveling to Baytown for business when my tire pressure light came on after I hit something in the road in the rain. They were very quick in turning my car back to me and stated my tire just needed air. Two days later the tire light came on again! Turns out there was actually a NAIL IN THE TIRE along with a low tread tire which means I was very close to a blow out! read more

I drove down from Austin the weekend of Jan 30th with the intent to purchase a 2016 Chevy Sonic LT, LS or a 2015 Ford Focus SE. I was pending final pre-approval from my bank and wanted to get the final test drives out of the way before I started talking numbers with the sales team. I went to Baytown Ford and drove the Focus first. I was able to speak to an associate (Brian Clay) who was very knowledgeable, could answer all my questions with in-depth feedback (I did my research beforehand so my questions were more for reinforcement than actual information). He was pleasant, conversational, and seemed like he truly wanted to assist. We ran into a snag with my pre-approval and ended up having to finance through the dealership. Of course after that is was snag after snag after snag. However, Brian and his finance manager worked their asses off (sorry for the language) to make sure I left there with a new car. They gave me more than I was anticipating for my trade (lots of miles) and made sure I was truly happy during the entire process. In the end I left with a 2015 Ford Fiesta and could not be happier!! This was my second car purchase from Baytown Ford and they have made a lifetime customer out of me. I truly appreciated the friendly atmosphere and how hard they were willing to work on my behalf. read more

Found a vehicle my husband was interested in on Cars.com and filled out the online form for someone to contact us. We were contacted by Shaun Collins. Interested in the car, I asked him to send us a deal sheet with his lowest price (which was the same as list; shocker). We were unable to see the bed of the truck or the wear on the tires from the photos listed online, so on Monday, we asked for pictures of those specific items (via text). He never sent them, so we followed up on Wednesday and he said he was busy yesterday (Tuesday) but would get them to us. Still no follow up, so I called and asked for a used car sales manager to see if another salesperson was available. We shortly received a text indicating that he failed to press send on his last text and the car was sold. Too bad. We could have bought it on Monday. Do a better job communicating with customers. If someone named Tony Waite approaches you, ask to speak with a different sales person. We dealt with Tony and at first he seemed to be very helpful. He was very straight forward and asked the questions that mattered. What are we looking for, price range, payment price range, credit score etc. After gathering information and analyzing our situation, he threw us completely off track and suggested that perhaps a smaller, but brand new car would be the way to go. He told us how he'd been doing this for many years and based on his experience, he thought it would be possible to get us in a new car while staying in our monthly price range. So we applied. It was a NO GO. Fine. We were not shopping for a new car. No big deal. So then I ask about a used car that I had eye balled earlier. He says "That is perfect. That will work for sure." Since he had already had our applications, we asked him to process everything. He came back 30 minutes later and said everything was approved. $300 mo. $0 down. Great! The only thing was... since it was memorial day, capital one had a TON of loans to work on. He asked if we could return tomorrow to sign everything. He said he'd get the car detailed for us, the works. Gave us his card with his cell phone number on it and said to call him when we were about to head out so that he could prepare all the final paperwork. Well, I called... he answered very quickly and hung up on me. I called back about 45 minutes later and I was able to leave a message. He never returned my call. I showed up to the dealership asking for Tony and... "Tony is off today". Tony TOLD ME TO MY FACE... "I will be here tomorrow, I am not trying to ditch you." He then shook my hand and said "Congratulations" . Once we explained the situation to the manager, he apologized and said he would look for the application or deal in progress and process it so that we could leave with our car. They didn't find anything. He never processed anything! They had us apply (again) and tried to get everything done. 2 hours later. The deal was completely different. $1,000 down, Mo. payments would have been way above what was discussed initially. We went our own ways and were appalled by the amount of lies that were fed to us. Lie after lie after lie! It's really sad. The dealership is great and most of the people there are great but to continue to have on sales people like this is just sad. I'm not upset about the deal falling apart. That's fine. I can still get a car, no problem. It's just the fact that he lied to our faces over and over. That really stings. read more

I recently drove 4 hours to Baytown Ford to buy a used 2011 F-250 Super Duty 4x4 with the 6.7 liter Diesel, Reg. cab and 89k miles. I got an excellent price at $21,000 and exactly what I asked for my 1999 trade at $4,000. The purchase experience was MUCH better there at Bayside then at my local Hyundai dealer in Austin when my wife bought her new car. Hyundai wanted a credit card or check 30 minutes after getting there for a deposit and we hadn't even gone into financing to talk terms yet. Bayside Ford was absolutely the best experience i've ever had buying a car, the best and i'm 42! These guys are honest and friendly. I would drive there again in a heartbeat to buy from them again! I drove from the Golden Triangle to get the truck that had everything I wanted in the color I wanted. I called and was transferred to Marisol. She is wonderful. She always answered her phone when I called or texted. I hate car shopping because of the BS you have to go through and all of the games they like to play. I told her up from to be straight with me and she was. No games, no crap. The team stayed late so I could make the drive after work test drive the truck, get my car appraised, and sign the papers. She insisted that she wanted to make sure the truck was completely detailed before I could take it so I had to leave it and come back the next day to pick it up. That is ok, because they through in a full tank of gas for having to come back. BTW, I got the extended gas tank...a full 36 gallons...on them. The financial lady was a blast to talk to. She has been in the business a long time and explained everything to me so it was crystal clear. I will be going back if I ever get tired of my dream truck. read more

So my truck was sputtering and died on me. I went to Ford and talked with a guy named Steven in service. My fuel pump had to be emergency ordered and they found some water in my fuel tank. They also found that half my oil leaked out because Elite Oil and lube forgot to twist my oil plug in. I called Elite and they said they fired the guy for something else after my oil change and offered me a free oil service and refund. I'm just relieved it didn't get worse. Well, Steven at Ford Baytown already topped my oil off for free. That's right he rushed my parts in, found a problem, filled up the oil for free and looks like I'm getting my truck back today. Steven called damn near every day or 2 just to keep us updated and to decide what we wanted exactly. This experience has been nothing short of amazing. I NEVER go to no damn dealership unless I got no choice, but now I really just wanna keep going there. Great customer service, and going that extra mile to make us happy. He didn't have to call repeatedly or fill my oil back up for free. Baytown Ford you got a client that's happy with ya, and bet your ass we will come back. Steven, you the man keep it up. read more

I purchased the vehicle brand new from them. they couldn't figure out the problem. it took them 2 months to fix a problem for a vehicle made by them. after they finally were able to fix the problem I asked that we be compensated in some way for the 2 months we were not able to use the vehicle. the person I was on the phone with told me he couldn't. so I asked that he get with a supervisor and get back with me. and to please do so as soon as possible. Went here today, a two and a half hour drive, after checking TWICE, with TWO different people (Matt & Alvin) to make sure I was approved financing, my payments were where they needed to be, and that the car was still there. Make it to the dealership, to find out that the person I'd been speaking with (Matt), wasn't even there, after he'd texted me a couple hours prior, informing me he was. Then, find out that the car I'm coming for isn't even there! They loaned it out to someone having service down on their vehicle, the day prior. I was put under the impression, that I'd be signing papers and driving off the lot, as quickly as possible. After having us wait for over an hour, we were told that our payments would be much higher than previously quoted. It was a complete bait and switch. These people are completely unprofessional and I recommend them to no one. No one even introduced themselves to us. Customer service is obviously dead at this place. I was flat out lied to throughout the whole process. I wasted an entire day and a tank of gas on this, and time is money. BUYER BEWARE! I am glad I didn't pay for the wash would have been very upset with the results. Inquired about recalls on my car told had 3 but didn't have the parts to repair. My husband and I bought a new truck that we found via the website. When we got to the dealership Bethany had the truck pulled up front for us to look at and drive. When we decided we wanted to purchase the truck, they stuck to the price advertised and gave us a fair price for our trade in. We were in and out of there in less than 3 hours which is a huge plus to me. Most of our car buying experiences have taken most of a day to complete. Thanks to Andrea, the Finance person, for your professionalism and not adding on those hidden costs that happen so often to people. UPDATE: my husband is a Purple Heart Vietnam veteran and has Purple Heart license plates which stay with him on whatever vehicle he may purchase. When he went back to Baytown Ford to pick up his registration and so he could put his Purple Heart plates on his truck, they had registered his truck with regular license plates instead of the Purple Heart plates which they knew he had and had taken a picture of at the time of purchase. When he told them they screwed up the plate registration, they told him they could not help him and that he would have to go to the courthouse and take care of fixing their screw up himself. Well. It has turned out to be a HUGE hassle. Needless to say, Baytown Ford didn't care, and offered no assistance in fixing their screw up. So this just totally ruined our car buying experience with Baytown Ford. If you have disabled plates or any kind of plate that stays with you as you our has cars, know that Baytown Ford does not care if they screw up your registration for those plates. They will not help, nor will they even acknowledge that they have created a huge mess that they tell you to fix. Will think twice now before buying from them again!! read more

First, the good. What little there is. The internet sales mgr. was very nice and prompt in his responses via text and email. Now the bad. During truck month I arrived at the dealership and parked right up front. As my daughter and I walked past 5 or 6 sales people standing around the bed of a truck talking to one another, not one person acknowledged our existence. We walked the lot for at least 45 minutes looking at trucks and had even picked one out to purchase. Of course all vehicles are locked so I could not get inside nor test drive obviously. So we walked back by the same sales people in the same spot and received the same treatment. As we began to pull out of the lot, I called the dealership and asked for the mgr. and informed him of my experience. He promised to take care of the sales team and deal me directly. However, in the end they expected me to forget about my experience, pay what was offered, and ultimately lost my business over an extended warranty. Go elsewhere. read more

Looks like I need to find a better Ford Service place while living in this area. My engine light came on while driving down to Houston and I tried calling Baytown Ford several times for service with no answer so I got on their website. The website allowed me to make an appointment for my truck and the only availability they had for the week was Thursday or today. So I had to choose Saturday early morning bc of other prior appointments. After a late night at the hospital it really sucked getting up early to take my truck in but you do what you need to do! I pulled up to service and Noone comes to greet me. I walk in and tell them I have an appointment only to be informed they don't make Saturday appointments. I told them their website allowed me to do it and I never received a call even though I made it Monday. They wouldn't even come out and look at my truck. They didn't have any other autos waiting that I could see but who knows. Finally I tried to make an appointment for Monday and the guy wouldn't even take my information. Here's what I was told: "The prices you see online for the trucks includes $500 Ford Discount for financing with Ford Motor Credit, and $1000 Baytown Ford/Sonic discount for trading a vehicle. Since you are not doing either, you loose $1500 total," So, I wanted to pay CASH and had no trade-in. The price I saw online did not apply to me. I'll take my car buying elsewhere. read more

Their service department could use some help! The majority of the times that I have gone for an oil change, recall, maintenance or small repairs the personnel at the service department just don't seem to have much of customer service. Compared to Ron Craft and others, they definitely need to work on it. read more

My service person was good. The services provided were good. The parts department and cashier were not friendly. They did not make me feel that my patronizing their business was appreciated. The employees need to work on their customer service skills. Even the person answering the phone for the company sounded like she was annoyed with the fact she had to answer the phone. read more

The service was the worst I've had at any dealer. The financing people lied to me on multiple occasions and attempted to use their financing although I had been preapproved. The vehicle was sold to another person as we attempted to give them our down payment. I will never use nor would I recommend using Baytown Ford. read more

If I could give a double negative star I would. Had my car brought to the service department because the engine went out on it after having it for 8 months. I talked to Robert, the "service" advisor twice In the whole time that my car has been there, which has been 4 months. Supposedly the car was not covered under warranty, even though it was under 60,000 miles. Was quoted a price of $109 for diagnostics, now that has ballooned up to $413.00, to break it down. I did not agree to this. Now, I have been told that they have put a mechanics lien on the vehicle and it will be sold at auction. Seems like they are trying to steal my vehicle for some reason but I'm sure my car finance company and my attorney WILL NOT let that happen. I am also contacting the Texas Attorney General's Office. I will never bring another vehicle to this dealership as long as I live. Poor customer service, poor communication between the service department and the customer. Robert claimed that he called me several times. Funny with caller i.d. and voicemail you would think that I would have seen that.My number has not changed. I purchased a brand new Ford Flex off the showroom floor in December of 2016. I was very pleased with the sales dept. but the service department is horrible. While driving my new Ford home in the rain I noticed that the sunroof was leaking. I brought ot back a few months later for a oil change and for the service department to check the roof out. I dropped it off on a Tuesday and was told to pick it up on Friday. I drove about a hour to pick up my car only to find out they never had a chance to check the Sunroof. Needless to say I was very disappointed with the service department. On top of that the servive man seemed very nonchalant that I drove a hour or my roof was not serviced. So, you may want to purchase a Ford closer to you if you are looking for good service. read more

Took my truck in for warr. work on the turbo, And was given my truck back with Niagara falls coming through the ceiling, when they pull up the truck out of there shop. The truck has never leak one drop of water. This was gallons of water coming through the head-liner. Which they tell me of course is not war. And had the Audacity to tell me it must had already been leaking. This was a 62,000 $$ truck 2 yrs old and has been in there shop at least 6 times for all kinds of things. To me it looks like some one forgot to close the moon roof and they are trying to cover it up. I am trying to let everyone no don't use there shop. read more

New Ford F250 superduty started leaking oil at 358 miles,,took it in, diagnosis was overtightened head bolt/stud that cracked head,,told general manager that I wanted a new truck since this one was defective,,he agreed to get one from dealer in Boerne,,fast forward three and half weeks, defective truck could not be fixed because of delay in getting new head,,finally they "demanded" I go pick up repaired truck all other agreements were null void,,told me they did not want my business,,,guess I complained too much about getting defective new vehicle,,,,recommend you do not buy here or any other Sonic Automotive dealership,,,really nice people until you catch them screwing up, lying, misrepresenting facts figures,,lesson learned read more
