My first time at Ken's Steakhouse in Natick. Used to drive by it lots and heard other people went. So one day I decided to go with my daughter. I have to say inside it's very nice. Paintings, furniture, lights, the decor is really beautiful. We were seated in the lounge area with the big TVs on, but it was still very nice. Comfortable chairs. We first started with the fried calamari which was very tasty! We both had the prime rib. It just comes with your choice of house or Caesar salad. I had the house salad. It was simple and I've had better with cucumbers, carrots included but it was fine. My daughter had the Caesar, nothing special here too. You pick sides to go with your meal. For the price, you should get it included but you don't. I ordered the mashed potatoes and my daughter had the butternut squash. Well, the prime rib was very good and so were the sides. They were delicious! We ended with a Ken's Brownie Sundae which was good! I was glad I came. Was it expensive ? Yes but then other restaurants are much more so this is not so bad. The waiter we had was very good at checking in on us. We ordered a soda to drink and he kept bringing us a refill when we needed. We didn't have to ask. There's plenty of parking in the lot. It's in a great location if you want to shop after. Would I come again ? Well yes I would. I was happy with the food. So if you haven't tried it you must.

A couple friends and I came here for a late lunch. The interior was classy with old school charm. There was a warm ambiance to the place. We started off with Fried Calamari, tossed with cherry tomatoes, garlic, and basil. The Calamari was oh so mouthwatering! It was satisfyingly crispy in a light batter, full of bold flavor. For my entree, I had a tough time choosing between Filet Mignon and Prime Rib. I went with the Filet Mignon, which came with a side of Demi-glace sauce and Garden Salad. The lettuce of the Salad tasted old and oddly off. I substituted it with Fries, which is what should always come with steak. Filet Mignon was a perfectly cooked cut of meat with nice grill marks. This was tender, juicy, and well seasoned. Steak Fries were nice and crisp, with yummy potato taste. I also got to try the Onion Rings, which were delightfully crunchy and addicting. Service was wonderful. Our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Prices were pretty high, which is to be expected at a steakhouse. We were well taken care of throughout our time here.

NY Strip for $30. No sides.

What a shame ... this place has so much potential. If you ever wondered what dining in 1984 felt like, this is an opportunity to experience it. They put some lipstick on the dining areas, which actually makes them feel cold and sterile. They should have embraced their inner-1980's vibe and go full retro. The white paint over the paneling makes this look like a cheesy wedding venue vs. a dining room. Beyond that, the cavernous dining area is kept pretty cold. Given how empty the place was ... and how many staff members were just standing around ... I guess they can't afford to heat the place. We dined with our jackets on. The prices here are pretty damn expensive for what you get. If I order a nice steak, I won't complain about the price but a $50 filet mignon here tasted no better than what you'd get at Texas Roadhouse for half the price. You can tell an expensive, dry-aged steak from an average steak ... and this place has average steaks. The chicken Parmesan was probably one of the worst we ever had. The sauce tasted like high school cafeteria food. It really was awful. The strip steak was probably the best meal out of any we ordered and for $30 it was maybe 6 - 8 oz. Definitely not enough to fill someone up and everything is a la cart. So for $30+, you get a small piece of meat and nothing else. The French onion soup was good but nothing I haven't had anywhere else. Salads were bagged 1980's style salads. The dressings are what you'd expect from Ken's. Not fresh or homemade ... no chunks of blue cheese, or anything. The bar and lounge is the best part of the restaurant. It feels like an upscale golf course ... leather furniture, dark wood, gold framed paintings of horses and a big bar. The restaurant dining areas are cavernous spaces with wedding style stackable chairs that make you feel like you are in a banquet hall. The walls are white painted paneling and the back has that warm, brown 1970's brick and a fireplace that isn't lit. There are 5 foot tall green leafy trees throughout the dining room. It just feels 'off'. It would be so cool as a 1980's retro vibe ... but instead they made it seem like a banquet hall in New Jersey. This place is a staple that's been around forever ... but it's just not what it used to be. Sky high prices ... mediocre food ... odd atmosphere ... and poor value. I wanted to love this place but couldn't on a lot of different ways.

I was really looking forward to this spot however it has become all à la carte in the past year would be my guess. All entrees do come with a side salad, but for the prices it not worth the food to me. The 6 scallops were $44 and came with no side. The best options pricewise are the pasta which was OK, but not my favorite chicken piccata I've had. The surface was quick and I'll be honest was very fine dining experience for Framingham. Overall, I don't think the prices are is worth the food. You can find much better options elsewhere.

Well, their time is past, I still love their salad dressing, yet their prices in the restaurant are comparable with Ruth Chris. Service was pleasant, we went on Veterans Day, and there were only a few tables. There is so much history there, food is ok, nothing to write home about except that you dined at Ken's steakhouse.

The restaurant is an icon thanks to the salad dressing. Came in on a Friday night and was able to get quick seating. While we ate in the dining area the karaoke or live music (not sure which) was definitely loud enough to have to raise voices to have conversation. Staff was very friendly. FOr meal decided on the cobb salad and the Ken's sirloin steak. The salad is probably close to how it would always have been done here. Primarily ice berg lettuce, and a good amount of dressing. The steak was fine, cooked to order, but nothing magnificent. In short I would say Ken's is exactly doing it as they have always done it. Unfortunately with so many elevated steak options throughout the area now this is more is more of a throwback to time past. Very affordable, but nothing amazing if it wasn't for the iconic name.

I would firstly like to say I have come here for about 5 years now once a year for a family christmas dinner. I am really at a loss for words as to how clear it is that there is no love in this business. lazy servers...a chef that is working at a steakhouse that cannot cook a steak properly is a real problem. The first issue was drinks took forever. Waters had no ice in them, 3 alcoholic beverages were ordered and strangely enough a beer took the longest to come out... about 7 minutes behind. The appetizers were fine and came out at an appropriate time but the server failed to clear the table when it was needed. The meatballs were a little strange tasting. Now, it seemed like our waiter wasn't sure if he took our order or not so it took a really long time for him to ask what we were putting in... really drawn out. The wait wasn't too bad. Firstly, the tomahawk steak. The steak was listed as 24oz but came out with probably 18oz of bone and 6oz of steak. It was flat and small, smaller than all other steaks that were served including the 10oz filet mignon. The filet was the real issue. I personally ordered it myself and am baffled as to how horribly the chefs execution of this steak was. I ordered it medium, something you'd automatically expect a steakhouse to understand but it was certainly not the case. It came out true rare. I asked for them to cook it more, then it came back beyond well done, no pink in sight. I had tried to accept this but did not wish to eat the equivalent of a brick. I sent it back once more and they made me a new filet. This final filet was somehow, miraculously, completely charred on the outside but rare on the inside. It's almost as if the chef cooked it for only a moment then used a torch thinking it would've cooked the inside. It was the strangest consistency, crispy, charred outside with a gooey inside, not my cup of tea. I ate around the edges as I had ran out of patience. It was clear the chef didn't want to spend time making quality food, so I simply gave up. Sides tasted like canned vegetables. Please note our servers were very kind but perhaps a little forgetful. Because of their kindness, I will give two stars. There's no love in this restaurant and it lacks culinary attention. If you want real steakhouse steak, Ken's is not your place. I'm so disappointed as this place used to be so lovely and a great experience but I believe it's time to change tradition and go to a different restaurant for our family dinner.

    Chicken Picatta
    Tom G.

This review is from May 2nd. I ate in the lounge and had a fantastic meal. I started with the meatball appetizer. The angus beef porterhouse meatballs were very moist and well seasoned with the perfect amount of sauce and cheese. The chicken piccata was excellent and they nailed the sauce for both flavor and consistency. Often times I find the piccata sauce is either too thin or too thick. This is one of my favorite dishes to make myself so I have high standards. I also appreciate the use of penne over spaghetti or linguine as restaurants usually overwhelm the dish with those pastas. On a previous occasion I had the filet mignon which comes with a Demi-glacé on the side that is spectacular. I ordered rare and it was cooked perfectly. This is a big restaurant with several different dining rooms that is a Framingham landmark. A note about dining in the lounge. There is often live music (classic, lounge singer music) so if that is not your thing, no worries as there are many options including outdoor seating in the summer. The vibe of the restaurant is classic and a bit old school although not old looking. Definitely worth trying especially if you haven't been in a while. The service was excellent for both my recent trips.

    Dry Manhattan at the bar.

I really want to love Ken's. And every time I go back, I hope they will "wow me this time." But it never happens. I always leave feeling like "that was okay -- but it could have been so much better." That said, I would describe Ken's a reliably okay. I can't really imagine anyone having an awful experience here -- the food, the service or the comfortable dining experience -- but nor can I imagine anyone raving about it. Example: What's up with the bright red cherries in the overly sweet Manhattan? (You'd be surprised how much a dark albeit more expensive cherry warms the heart of a Manhattan drinker.) I grew up in this area, and Ken's has always been a stable presence on Route 9 in Framingham. And in my book, staying power counts for a lot. But not enough to pretend it's better than it really is (or as good as some of the other choices not so far from it). I encourage anyone reading this to try it if they haven't; or keep going if you like it. But I suspect there are lots of locals like me who will keep giving Ken's a shot once a year to see if they've upped their game.

Food was amazing, my drinks were great and the service was fantastic! I want to say my servers name was, Diego. I was dining alone since I was on a business trip and he made me feel very comfortable. I wish there was a Ken's Steak House in LA California.

I got one of the newly renovated rooms which was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The bed was great and I slept really well. The gym is simple but completely serviceable. Staff was friendly and welcoming. The location is also excellent. It is very easy to access from the freeway and it is close to great food, shopping, and anything else you might need. Overall this is a hotel that is actually enjoyable to stay in. Clean, comfortable, full of character, and just fun to be in. I loved it and would absolutely stay here again.
