Came here on a Friday night and it wasn't too busy at all! My friends and I ordered the following: - Spicy Galbi wings - Gangnam Style wings - Kimchi Fried Rice - Rose Ddeok Bokki Wings were crispy and the flavors were all pretty good! Honestly, the fried rice was fire and the rose ddeok bokki sauce paired nicely with the wings. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the fact that pickled daikon costed extra ($1.00 each). Maybe I'm just personally used to daikon radish being complimentary when you order fried chicken but that threw me off a little. Other than that, everything else was pretty good!

Was craving Korean fried chicken, so we decided to come here on a Monday night. There was plenty of parking, and the restaurant had ample seating. Upon entering, we were greeted by the server and quickly seated. The restaurant was clean and had K-pop music playing, which created a chill and fun vibe. We ordered corn cheese, Tteok-bokki, and 16 wings (Spicy Galbi and Soy Garlic flavor). The corn cheese was probably one of the best I've had! It was sweet with perfectly melted cheese on top that complemented the dish well. The wings were delicious as well, made to order and super crispy with a satisfying crunch! I was a bit nervous about the spicy galbi being too hot, but it was manageable. The pickled radish that came with it helped cleanse the palate and added a refreshing touch. Overall, it was a great experience! If you're looking for crispy chicken with fast service, definitely check this place out!

More like 3.5 but I'll give 4. I much prefer their Katy location over Bellaire location. Did not realized they have a Westheimer location in Houston so I'll be making my way over there soon enough. If you're craving for Korean fried chicken, bb.q Chicken is where it's at. They use olive oil (I need to confirm if they use extra virgin olive oil) and flavor-wise is pretty consistent with all their locations that I've been to. Spicy original, soy garlic, and gangnam are my top 3 flavors for their wings. This location tends to be less crowded compare to their Katy location. Wings comes out in about 20 minutes. Sometimes the server will see you and sometimes they forget you. At this location, you sit down and order at your table then they bring out your drinks and foods. Sometimes I pay at the register and sometimes I pay at my table. It depends on their mood. The staffs are what makes the business. Corned cheese is served in a rice Japanese bowl... strange that it doesn't burn the bowl when they burn the top. Good but probably better if served on a small cast iron. Wings are usually pretty good. Sometimes, you might get a lot of broken bones within the wings. Not sure why it's only at this location that happens so be cautious even though you're eating wings. The music gives a fun vibe but most people are just on their phone and not interacting with each other (how boring). Parking... well, have fun finding it sometimes. Most of the time, it's not hard to find parking near this restaurant.

Severe Food Safety Hazard & Unacceptable Management Response I am writing this to warn current and future customers about the serious health hazard and extremely poor management at bb.q Chicken Bellaire. [Incident: Sharp Metal Fragment Found in Food] On Friday, July 24, I ordered 1.5 orders of chicken (Secret Sauce Boneless & Golden Olive Boneless). While eating at home, I found a sharp, dangerous piece of metal--likely a fragment from a metal scouring pad--embedded inside the Secret Sauce chicken. [Employee vs. Manager Response & Unprofessional Attitude] When I called the store on Friday right after finding the metal piece, the staff member offered an apology. However, the manager offered NO apology at all. Despite knowing I live a 40-minute round trip away (requiring toll fees), management insisted that no refund could be processed unless I physically brought the food back to the store. The following morning (Saturday, July 25), the manager called me back. Throughout the call, she was extremely rude and dismissive, repeatedly hiding behind "policy is policy." Only as the conversation was wrapping up did she half-heartedly toss out a dry "I'm sorry this happened." It was an insincere, dismissive statement that made the entire experience even more offensive. [Store Policy Does Not Override Food Safety Laws] I did nothing wrong, yet the manager ruined my Friday evening by stubbornly enforcing store rules. A restaurant's internal "policy" does NOT override food safety laws. Before demanding that a customer drive back to return contaminated food, her absolute priority should have been providing a sincere apology and an immediate refund. [Not an Isolated Issue] Only after I personally revisited the store to return the food did I receive a full refund. Furthermore, looking at recent Google reviews, another customer reported finding a foreign object (a piece of cloth) in their chicken just a month ago. This shows a serious, ongoing hygiene and quality control failure in their kitchen. [What You Should Know Before Ordering] As a regular customer who used to order from here weekly, this experience completely ruined my weekend. If you decide to eat here, please be aware: If you find a dangerous foreign object in your food, be prepared to waste your gas money, time, and appetite. Be prepared to be treated poorly while the manager hides behind "policy is policy" with a completely insincere attitude. Check your food carefully before eating.

We went because we were craving Korean fried chicken. Overall, the experience was okay. It took a lot of flagging down the staff as we ran out of water or something wasn't right about the order. The chicken was okay and the fries were just plain. It wasn't too busy on a Sunday night. Probably wouldn't be back.

I think out of all of the korean fried chicken places in Houston this one is my favorite. I like the flavor and how crispy the chicken is. I will say that some pieces of the chicken look like babies but other than that it's good. The soy garlic chicken was super crispy and the flavor was amazing. For the chicken mayo rice bowl you can choose what flavor you want it and I chose honey garlic. They added the sauce to the rice which I liked a lot since it packed flavor. The interior was clean and organized. The service was pretty good as well, they were kind and fast.

If you're looking for a place to bring a crowd, this is it!! I came here with all of my siblings and my absolute favorite flavor that I always get is the cheeseling which comes boneless. It looks like a lot of cheese powder when you first get it, but it is absolutely necessary because the cheese powder is so delicious. This is my first time getting the normal fried chicken that was supposed to be spicy. The chicken was cooked well but honestly, I didn't taste any flavor so it's good if you're into basic but it's not my cup of tea. Last, but at least we got the honey garlic, which was perfectly savory and sticky! All the chickens come with the side of radish, which pairs great with the hot chicken. One note is if you do dine in and you come in person they do have a gratuity charge is automatically added so just watch out for that on your receipt. Overall an iconic Korean fried chicken spot that is sure to please!

The place was nice with music in the background. The server was quick with our food as well. The chicken was packed with flavor, and the soy garlic boneless wings were the absolute highlight. The original was decent, and the cheesling on the side was pretty good, too. Overall, delicious food and great service. Would definitely love to come back!

FOOD Honey Garlic Wings - probably the CRUNCHIEST chicken I've had. It's actually so good and flavorful. The garlic flavor really sticks out which I like. But yeah - good amount of sauce and godly on the crispiness!! VIBES Really crowded on a Saturday evening with lots of friends hanging out and groups! Perfect place for delicious late night chicken and drinking (or just chilling). SERVICE Took around 20-30 minutes to get my order but there were tons of people coming in for pick up orders! Very nice and friendly service!

My favorite KFC spot in Houston! I know bb.q chicken is a chain but both this and the Westheimer location don't miss! I love how crispy the outside always is while the inside of their chicken is juicy and tender. The flavors for the wings though does feel limited to me, like I wish there were some more unique flavors, but a solid favorite of mine is the soy garlic wings. My boyfriend and I will usually order half order of soy garlic wings and a half order of another flavor and that's more than enough food for the two of us where we end up with leftovers. This time we got the soy garlic wings and the spicy galbi, and we thought the spicy galbi flavor tasted a bit too smoky and not much else to it. The service is quick and they do inform you that the chicken usually takes 15-20 mins to cook, but that's when you know it's freshly made because it do be cooking out hotttt. If I'm hangry, I'll usually order a quick app like fries to munch on while I wait. It's a very casual and chill spot, good for group hangouts.

New location in Bellaire super convenient but was a bit apprehensive based on negative reviews. However, glad we did try and we will definitely return! Service: 5/5 Food quality: 5/5 Seasoning: 4/5 Cleanliness: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5 After trying most of the Korean fried chicken places around town, we've decided we like bb.q the best. Unfortunately our usual place on Westheimer has really gone downhill and is not somewhere we're willing to go anymore. For one, the service is good and fast here. You get your food within 10-15 minutes and it is piping hot, juicy, and crisp! Each medium order comes with 9 large wings so one order was more than enough for each person. Note they do not accommodate requests for all flats or all drums. This location has some flavors that the other location does not so that was nice surprise. The interior is pretty spacious and everything looked well maintained / clean, which I would expect given it's new. The only weird thing was all the tables were 4-6 seaters. No small tables for 1-2 people. Now there was never a line for seating but if it gets busier, it seems like the table setup is not the most optimal. Bathrooms are large and clean and there's a log showing when it was last cleaned, which seems to be more than a few times a day. Now to the food! Everything was cooked well, crispy and held up with the sauce, tender and juicy! Ratings on the flavor: - Secret sauce (3/5): sweet and tangy is the description and I would agree. I did not enjoy the tangy as much as I thought. It's ok to me, nothing wrong with it but just not my preferred flavor. This one has a little bit of heat. - Soy Garlic (4/5): this is usually my favorite but I don't think they did a good/consistent job of saucing the wings, so I didn't get the expected flavor - Caribbean Spice (4/5): This was an interesting new flavor - hard to describe but we both enjoyed it! A little heat here too but nothing too spicy. The pickled daikons were fresh and crisp (more so than the other location) so also appreciated that. Want to give soy garlic another try next time to see if it's more like I remember!

I was impressed by the portion size, because each half could've been placed in a separate bowl, add more broth (shaved ice and a slice of Korean pear optional), and that's two portions in most places. Historically, these noodle dishes were a rare treat and a delicacy, as these noodles were very labor intensive and hard to make (although I'm sure they're mass produced now), and had to be served cold in the summer heat. Banchan was tasty too, including the kimchi which was early in the fermentation stage. The kimchi pancake was huge, definitely had to take this one to go, and came with an optional Korean-style spicy soy dipping sauce. I ordered the combo and went with the Bulgogi, which was tender and tasty, but didn't come sizzling so the pan it came in was more for display. Still, great good, fantastic value, and definitely the real deal. It's not as fancy as some of the more expensive neighborhoods of Houston (and a bit out of the way for me), but sometimes you just want some really tasty and unpretentious Korean comfort food.

Personally, I haven't tried those because Korean BBQ and sushi together just feels a little odd to me. I grew up in LA where we usually went to separate places for each, but I'm sure plenty of people enjoy having both options. The meat quality is really good, and everything is well-seasoned and flavorful. My only complaint is the soups--they don't really taste like the traditional Korean soups they're supposed to be. They could definitely use some improvement. That said, other side dishes like the tteokbokki are actually really good. For the price, it's an excellent value. The service is usually good, although it can be a little inconsistent depending on your server. One thing I really like is that they include dessert, such as Korean ice cream bars, regular ice cream, and other sweet treats. We've been here several times already and definitely plan on coming back. That said, the consistency of both service and food quality between visits can be noticeable. Service can be very slow at times, even when the restaurant isn't particularly busy. We've had issues with banchan not being brought out, grills not being turned on, and fish orders taking nearly an hour to arrive. Food quality can also be hit or miss. For example, the Cheese Crab Puffs have occasionally arrived completely cold with barely any crispiness or color, and we've had similar issues with other appetizers. My favorites are the Garlic Salmon Sashimi, Black Angus Marinated Short Rib, Wagyu Beef Belly, Black Angus Rib Finger, and Thick Cut Pork Belly. I also enjoy the Takoyaki, Crispy Tuna Rice, and Tteokbokki. There are a few dishes I would skip, including the Spicy Scallop Sashimi and Nigiri unless you enjoy very small scallops, the Baked Green Mussels, which are overly sweet, and the Prime Beef Brisket, which I've found to be tough and dry. Overall, there are plenty of dishes I genuinely enjoy here, but the inconsistency keeps this from being a place I can wholeheartedly recommend. When everything is executed well, it's a great meal, but you never quite know what kind of experience you're going to get. That being said, I tend to get good ones the majority of the time.

This spot is located in a small plaza next to a busy trampoline park, and inside, it's very clean and well maintained. Each table has a menu of the offerings WITH pictures (so you don't have to scour Yelp like I usually do for pictures....). The waitresses come by to help answer any questions if you have any. To be honest, I think the menu tablets are a bit overkill since they have a small enough menu to look though, but it is good for people who aren't familiar with Korean food or the establishment itself. What's nice is you can get many of the dishes with noodles or rice as your starch of choice. 10/10 Jjamppong - the broth is flavorful, seafood rich, and noodles perfectly bouncy. SOO good. I couldn't finish the whole bowl, so it's easily shareable. 7/10 Chicken Fried Rice. It's expensive for the amount of rice you get. Flavor is good, but there's not a lot of chicken. Would suggest an appetizer as well if you want to stay full. This location does not have unlimited pickled radishes like the Spring Branch location. All in all, I really liked the food - I'll only really come back here for the noodle soup, but that's enough for me since they specialize in both the jjamppong and jiajangmyeon.

We ordered the following: (out of 3 *rating) **Bulgogi Tteopoki - delicious but not what I expected. The sauce is similar to a stirfry, but the Bulgogi is done very well. Think of a japchae flavored Tteopoki dish Dumplings (Mandu) - they gave us the option to pan fry or steam, we chose to steam! Did not try, cannot rate ***2x assorted meat platters (enough for 6)- worth the quality of cut and preparation, done tableside. Each different platter was done beautifully, and grilled tenderly. The marinade was well done on the short ribs. **banchan- my favorite was the pickled radish and cabbage kimchi. Not a lot of variety compared to other places, but each dish was done very well. I didn't really care for the potato salad. * doenjang/soybean soup: maybe it's just me, but it was very salty. Not my top choice of soup regardless. **kimchi-jjigae : very solid kimchi stew. The right amount of heat to pair rice with well but it's so rich. I could only have a couple bites to the end of the meal. ***hotteok with chocolate ice cream. It's a simple dessert and done very well. The cinnamon and sugar come out balanced very nicely with the chocolate. Service: So attentive and fast ! Staff was very respectful and quick, on par with fine dining. Had to wave over some folks to request another order or utensils and they were on it. Kudos.

The service was a little slow at first, but I saw the owner of the manager come out and make sure everything got taken care of so props to him for being aware and making sure all the clients were taken care of. Food: everything we had was simply amazing. The beef fried rice was made to perfect perfection. Every single bite was so good. You can tell the use quality, beef here and quality rice. The fried dumplings were amazing. Every bite was so good. Last the chicken dish I can't remember the name of it, but oh yes, maybe it was called bolugi chicken? It was so good, had a very good spice to it. Every single bite was amazing. You can tell they use quality ingredients here. We will definitely come back. We enjoy this meal. Great job team. Keep it up.

The service was good, and the food was okay for what it is. The standout dish was definitely the LA Galbi. It was flavorful, although the portion size felt a little small for the price. On the other hand, I would not recommend the Spicy Pork Bulgogi. The meat had a mushy texture and was not enjoyable to eat. One downside was that there were quite a few flies inside the restaurant, which became pretty annoying during our meal. Overall, it is a good spot if you are looking for a quick meal to satisfy your Korean food craving.

I went to the back and there was an employee who said sit wherever you would like. Hardly a propitious start. It only went uphill from there! Service was excellent - the waiter explained the menu to us - food, obviously all cooked to order, took about 10 minutes. Food was brought out as it was prepared so we got our lunch entrees at different time (within a few minutes), but we were sharing so this was good. My daughter loved the steamed pork dumplings. The savory pancakes with bulgogi were outstanding. This is not my area of time, so it took us about 20 minutes to get there - ample parking. A huge number of restaurants in this strip center area - you should explore.
