We were in a rush during our road trip and stopped here hoping to grab a quick meal to go. It was Sunday late lunch time, we ordered a small Gangnam Style boneless chicken (8 pieces) for takeout, but ended up waiting almost 30 minutes. it's frustrating, the restaurant wasn't packed at that time, there were only two tables occupied, and a group of eight people who came in after us, dine in, they received their food before us. It was surprising that a small takeout order took that long. Anyway, the Gangnam style flavor was quite good with black pepper sauce and garlic mix was flavorful. We've late for our next destination due to the wait.

Tried BB.Q in Oahu and have been craving it since. So happy that it's now here in Oxnard. Ordered the Honey Garlic, Secret Sauce and Galbi. L

BB.Q Chicken Oxnard just opened here in The Collection and is a nice addition to the area. I love Korean Fried Chicken and tried the BB.Q Chicken chain at other locations. Service was okay -as he seemed a bit reluctant to grant my request, when I ordered a 24 pieces of chicken (12 pieces Gangjeong flavor and 12 pieces Honey Garlic). Both flavors were good, as next time I'm going to order a flavor with more spice/heat in it. Lots of breading, nice and crispy, but a bit oily (see my pics). Indoor and outdoor seating available. They have multiple TV's with sports playing (see my pic). The Collection has lots of free parking -but can get busy on the weekends.

We've been to BB.Q Chicken several times in LA County and Orange County, but this was our first time trying the Oxnard location and it did not disappoint! It was pretty crowded when we went, but in the best way. You could tell everyone was really enjoying their food and the atmosphere was fun and lively. They had the NBA playoff game playing, which was really cool, and the music added to the vibe too. Overall, great food, great energy, and definitely a spot we'd come back to!

Ambiance is always clean and welcoming. Service is typically friendly. Be aware that there's often a decent amount of waiting time for orders to be ready. We come here for the Cheesling fries - 5/5 delicious!! Definitely would recommend. It is sweet and flavorful. I can say it's addicting. It's always perfectly seasoned. Sweet potato fries - 2/5 the little one really wanted these. They aren't impressive at all. Very plain and soft. Son rarely touched them, which is rare. Their chicken pieces are often great in size compared to other places. Soy garlic chicken, boneless - (4/5) flavorful and delicious. It comes out soft and moist, definitely lacks that crispiness/fried chicken coating we are expecting when we order Korean chicken. Gangnam style chicken, boneless - (4/5) you can definitely taste the pepperish flavor as stated in their menu. It has the right amount of sweetness and subtle spice. Would recommend nonetheless. These were also not crispy at all. So that can be a bummer. Their ramen dishes are pretty good along with their rice cakes. Some dishes are spicier than others, but they're all tasty. Will have to return to try their tofu option.

I cannot believe I've been sleeping on bb.q Chicken at The Collection in Oxnard...honestly, shame on me because this place is BOMB! Football Sunday felt like the perfect excuse for fried chicken + beer, so I finally pulled up. The menu is stacked...chicken wings, boneless wings with over 10 sauces to choose from, rice bowls, soups, and even Ddeok-Bokki. But here's what I tried: Soy Garlic Korean Fried Chicken: If you've never had Korean fried chicken, prepare for your world to change. It's crispier, juicier, and more tender than anything else out there. That soy garlic glaze? Sweet, savory, addicting. Easily some of the best fried chicken I've had in a LONG time. 10/10 Bulgogi Rice Bowl: If "bulgogi" is on a menu, I'm ordering it, no questions asked. Tender, marinated beef over white rice with green onions and a mountain of danmuji (yellow radish). Simple, comforting, and the perfect sidekick to the chicken. 10/10 Kloud Korean Beer: Why did no one tell me about this beer sooner?! Malty, refreshing, and dangerously easy to drink. The perfect match for a carb-heavy feast. I may have finished it a little too fast. Lol 9/10 (had they served it with a chilled glass that would have been perfection). The vibes inside? Super clean, friendly staff, food coming out hot and fresh, and plenty of big screens to catch the game. Low-key, delicious, and absolutely worth a stop next time you're at The Collection. Trust me... don't wait as long as I did. This spot is SPECIAL. :)

This was a good experience! The place is small but there is plenty of seating inside and some outside as well. You are quickly greeted by staff as you walk to the cashier counter. We had wings, fried rice and the poutaine. The wings were pretty good but I favor the honey garlic over the Gangnam style. The poutaine was amazing and every bite was full of flavor. The rice was just ok to me. Clearly the food is made super fresh because it takes time for it to be served to you and it's always crispy and hot. I will be back to try other menu items and flavors. bb.q Chicken is a great place and I recommend you give it a try!

Went here after they've been opened for a few days. The line for to-go order was quite long. We opted for dine-in and we waited for 20mins... not too bad. The staff was very nice, attentive, and one came to welcome us and apologized if the wait was long. That was a nice gesture. Ordered the gangjeong wings & honey garlic wings. Both are good. Although I prefer the gangjeong, more flavorful. I just wish it comes with more radish, although they do sell it if you want extra. The fries is really good too. I'm just glad 805 finally has a legit KFC. Will return.

So happy to finally have a Korean Fried Chicken place in Ventura County! It was really busy for opening day. The dining area was full, there was a long line to order, and some confusion on where you can pick up takeout orders. Service can still be improved. However, the food was delicious! Tried the half and half chicken with original and secret sauce flavors. Chicken was flavorful and juicy on inside and crunchy on the outside. Secret sauce was tangy, sweet and mildly spicy. Also tried the rose ddeok-bokki and it was so good! It was mildly spicy, creamy, and had a nice seafood flavor. The rice cakes were chewy and the fish cakes were delicious! Overall, a bit pricy for what you get but totally worth it if you're craving legit Korean fried chicken and rice cakes. So happy to see this spot open up at The Collection and definitely coming back for my K.F.C. Cravings!

First can I just say I am absolutely Obsessed with the honey garlic chicken here!! Second, I am very disappointed by the amount of users giving one and two star reviews to this BRAND NEW business! Especially those judging for things that are clearly not the fault of the restaurant like the long wait time for food when they are very busy! If you don't have time to wait for food at a restaurant that just opened and is very popular, you should come back at a later date when the hype has died down. This is my second time here since initially coming in on within their first few days opening and it is 10x more busy today so I asked them how long the wait for takeout would be before placing my take out order. They told me about 15-20 minutes for a small takeout order which is in line with the 18 minute wait I had on my initial visit. It did however take a bit longer today, (25 minutes) but I had a feeling it would not be 15-20 minutes given how much busier they were. Although I didn't dine in either time, I have had no issues whatsoever - everyone has been very friendly on both occasions and happy to help answer any questions. It is clear to me everyone here is trying their best and they deserve some grace in their opening week! The food itself is incredible and generous portions - the chicken was so moist and flavorful and crunchy on the outside. The 8 pc boneless wings came with 10 pieces of varying sizes during my first visit and 9pcs during this most recent visit. It was extremely filling. I was sad that the corn cheese is only available for dine in but I understand why. When the hype dies down I will come back for dine in so I can have that. Nothing special about the ambiance. It is a casual place and the seating looks comfortable. There are a few big screen tv's which had games on. The only negative thing today I experienced is the takeout waiting area no longer had any chairs , so I was left standing for quite some time (I have back issues which can make this difficult at times). My guess is they needed the extra chairs to move to the entrance area where many people were waiting for a chair. Hopefully they will order a few more chairs soon so people waiting for takeout have somewhere to sit. Overall, I think this is a great new spot to have in the area and expect to regularly pickup takeout for the honey garlic boneless wings! I also hope people will be a little more understanding and patient before leaving garbage reviews... I would also recommend they update the app to allow orders to be submitted as it would cut down on people having to wait around for their takeout orders.

An order of four corn burritos costs $7.49. They took about 25 minutes to prepare. They are larger in girth than the Fosters Freeze corn burritos, and thus hold more refried beans. We ordered a Two Trees Burger through DoorDash. DoorDash describes it as a **two-patty burger on a…read morebun with cheddar cheese, pickle, onion, lettuce, tomato, and sauce.** We selected to hold the toppings except for the cheddar and pickles. What we received was a **single patty with shredded white cheese and guacamole on sourdough bread.** Not even remotely what we ordered. My husband took it back and was told, "No, this IS the Two Trees Burger." He explained that it was not what we ordered. The server took it back to the cook, who apparently just took the same burger and threw it onto a bun. My husband had to go back in **a THIRD time** and explain again that the order was supposed to be a DOUBLE patty burger on a bun with cheddar and pickles only. The burger went back to the cook again, who scraped off the guacamole, threw some pickles on the bottom, and then tossed the order onto the counter, clearly irritated. At that point, my husband gave up and just took it. I called the restaurant and asked for a manager. I spoke with Junior, who said he was a manager. Before explaining what DoorDash showed, I asked him, "What comes on your Two Trees Burger?" Interestingly, **he described the burger we had initially received**--the single-patty burger with the completely different ingredients. When I explained what DoorDash lists as the Two Trees Burger, his response was, **"We have no control over what DoorDash puts on their site."** That response was probably the most frustrating part of this entire experience. This restaurant has a direct link to DoorDash from its own website (and yelp!) and is accepting and fulfilling orders placed through DoorDash. If your third-party menu is advertising a completely different product under the same name, that is something the restaurant should be concerned about and work to correct--not simply tell a customer it isn't your responsibility. I also explained that the cook seemed irritated when my husband repeatedly tried to get the order corrected. Junior immediately told me that wasn't true and said he was right there when it happened. So instead of listening to a customer who had already received the wrong order and had to make THREE attempts to have it corrected, the response was simply to deny our experience. I even checked the restaurant's own website afterward. The version of the Two Trees Burger that Junior described--and confirmed they serve--isn't even listed on their website. Yet apparently it is different from the Two Trees Burger they are selling through DoorDash under the exact same name. The original mistake could have been resolved easily. What made this a one-star experience was everything that happened afterward: the wrong order, the first "correction" still being wrong, the second "correction" consisting of scraping ingredients off the same burger, the cook's attitude, and finally a manager who took absolutely no responsibility for any part of the experience. We cannot possibly be the first customers to order this burger through DoorDash and receive something completely different from what is advertised. Completely disappointed and dissatisfied. We will not be back. **Buyer beware, especially if ordering this restaurant through DoorDash. Apparently they're happy to accept the orders, but when their DoorDash menu doesn't match what they're actually serving, suddenly it's "DoorDash's" responsibility.** No wonder this place has gone so downhill. FOLLOWING IS MY RESPONSE to the owners reply... I/we never said there was "arguing" or a "REFUSAL to correct." My images clearly show an INACCURATE description. While I can appreciate a business owners attempt to review and resolve a less than stellar review, STILL the actual issue is not resolved and we are being questioned now about whether or not WE even ordered the correct item? No it was never the Smashburger. The gaslighting from the phone call with Junior to the owner/manager response here is, palpable. Pun intended. That's wonderful you're doing so great. I'm happy to have given this platform via my review for you to brag about your business. Cheers indeed. I will continue to brag about the poor encounter myself. Imagine just actually listening and taking the time to read and view the attachments provided.
