I grew up in Koreatown (Los Angeles) and moving to the valley I haven't found a GOOD Korean cuisine spot and I can honestly say that this is THE spot to get it from. Their chicken is CRISPY and FLAVORFUL. The Rose' Ddeok-Bokki holds great flavor and even though it's considered mild in spice it is spicy but I would get it time and time again. My most favorite dish is their bulgogi rice bowl. It is hands down one of their best dishes. You can't go wrong here. If you're here for the weekend or if you're a local this is such a great spot to stop at and enjoy some great food! read more

We went to this place for a light dinner and I was delighted by the delicious wings they served. I love Korean fried chicken wings, especially the crispy ones and this restaurant delivered exactly that. The crispy wings were really delicious though a little bit too salty for my taste. The kimchi fried rice was also really good. But what was more pleasing was the service. The lady who took our order was wonderful. The restaurant itself was also very clean with some interesting decor that shows their clear Korean ties. Overall a good place for Korean fried wings. read more

BB.Q Chicken is a small Korean chicken chain that offers Korean Fried Chicken (KFC) as well as common basic Korean dishes and sides. They do also serve both domestic and Asian beer, Makgoelli, Soju and wine for you to enjoy with your meal. Employees were nice, it does take a while for your order to come out after ordering, so order ahead if you plan on doing takeout and if dining in, be prepared to wait a bit. The have a small bar area if you plan on ordering takeout and waiting. We only ordered some KFC to take back to our timeshare to eat as there is not a whole lot of seating here and it was petty full at dinner time. We ordered a 16 piece wings with bone on (half Gangjeong and half soy garlic). The chicken tasted good overall, not the best we have had, but tasty and the size of the wings were a good size. They are located in a shopping center next to Ralph's Supermarket and is surrounded by golf courses as well as the J.W. Marriott Desert Springs and the Westin Desert Willows timeshare resorts, so if you are staying at one of the timeshares or golfing nearby, it's a great place to grab a drink and some tasty Korean dishes. read more

I'm so happy that there's a Korean fried chicken spot in the desert. It's in a good location, in a plaza with various businesses and a grocery store next door. There's a large parking lot in front. This was our first time here, I thought it was just takeout only but I was surprised that it had more of a sit down feel. We just ordered to go anyways. We ordered the half whole chicken (8 pc) Golden Original and the small boneless (8pc) Soy Garlic. We waited inside for our food, wait time wasn't long at all. It was about 15 to 20 minutes. I liked the ambiance indoors, there were many tables to choose from. And I loved how there was a US Open tennis match playing. The chicken was pretty good. I really liked the Soy Garlic. It was saucy, but not too saucy. Texture was wonderful. The soy garlic sauce was a nice sweet and savory mix. And the Golden Original was good too. Texture was perfect, it had a nice crispy and crunchy outside. We also got the pickled radishes on the side, and it paired very nicely with the chicken. One thing I will say, is that I wish the Golden Original's batter had a little bit more flavor. Although it had amazing texture, it tasted bland to me. I was left wanting a little bit more every bite. We had a great experience and I'd definitely come back again to eat inside. Service was helpful and friendly. read more

First time here. Nice vibe, slow service. The outside signage says bbq & pub, which is a cool idea. The vibe was a mix of music playing inside, a few TVs with games showing and one TV playing K-pop videos with no sound. On the way out noticed that Looks there's a fire pit on the patio, maybe that'll come in handy in winter, but right now it's over 110 degrees out. The temperature inside was fine, not too hot or too cold. Can't wait until the fall and winter to be able to sit out on the patio. The Honey Garlic chicken was fresh and crispy. Our server forgot to put in our tteokbokki order, so we had to ask about it and then wait while they made it. It tasted great but was way too spicy for my husband. I liked it though. We really liked the Honey Garlic Boneless chicken. Good flavor and a nice crispy crunch. We also tried the Galbi Boneless chicken. It was just ok for me, with lots of fresh green onions and a smoky taste, but something in the flavor profile was missing. It wasn't as crispy as the Honey Garlic and didn't have that extra something. Missing the it factor. We ordered some radish, which was tasty. A must add. The unsweetened Pure Leaf Teas were good, but we were OVERCHARGED a $1 each for them. if the price is now $3 each, please put those stickers on your menus to correct it. That's frustrating & if I would've had a chance to see the charges, I would've brought it up and got it resolved... :( Normally, I check the receipt before paying, but I wasn't given that option. The server just told me the total and brought the handheld payment thing to the table for the payment and tip without showing any breakdown. I couldn't even find the subtotal. Service was friendly but slow. We had to ask for basics like extra napkins, a to-go container, and even to remind them about the original order. Also, for non alcoholic beverages, it will be non-refillable Can or Bottle. For the most part, we liked it & now we know what to expect. Next time, we'll do our own math & have our tip ready bc this payment system bases the tip on the after-tax total. I don't get why some places do this and some don't. Maybe it's the system default or that smaller restaurants just don't think about tips correctly?!? Either way, it can frustrate us customers. It might be worth fixing the tip to calculate based on the subtotal instead. I love this chicken! I have one of these locations near my home, and I'm in there frequently. While out in the Desert, I noticed a new location near my hotel, so I decided to stop in for dinner. The service here was great. They quickly took my order, and bagged it up nicely for takeout. As for the ambience, I appreciated that this location has a small patio; next time I will bring my puppy so we can enjoy this together. The chicken is fried fresh and to order, so you will have to wait 15-20 minutes for the food to cook. It comes out hot, juicy, and delicious. I get the honey garlic or the spicy galbi sauce for mine but with so many sauces, you can find one that fits your tastes. By far the best chicken wings both bone-in and boneless I have ever had. I got the bone in galbi wings and my mom got the honey garlic boneless wings. I dined here 2 years ago and was excited to find an Asian place near the resort. Each year we visit, one meal would be from bb.q. I ordered delivery last night, it feels like ownership changed or something. Ordered soy garlic wings and only 3 out of 8 wings were coated with sauce. The other 5 wings had specks of sauce it was really just a plain fried wings. No daikon radishes came with the chicken. I also ordered streamed rice and it was obvious that the rice had been made in the morning and sat there since 5:30 pm. Ordered a side of dumplings, they were okay and came with packets of soy sauce. Being from LA, I have been to the OG spots for this franchise and I must say this doesn't disappoint. The chicken is crisped to perfection, flavorful, and very much on par with the K-town location. If I had to quibble, I do wish the prices were not the same as the LA prices but I can't bump off a star for the economics of deliciousness. The staff are super responsive, quick and friendly. They are happy to check in often as well even without prompting. The big difference here vs LA is that they have a happy hour, and that makes crunchy wings even more tempting (one could argue too tempting). read more

The chicken is so moist and delicious. The texture is just right between crunchy and soft. I came the day before when they ran out of chicken. I am willing to wait, but others may not. It isn't fair to give them low reviews when they have been only open a few days. All the workers are new and getting used to everything. Did I have to tell them I needed ordering because they didn't notice me? Yes. I am not stressing. I complimented them on their food and they were happy. The workers felt good and celebrated when they were successful. That is all I need from a staff (a willingness to learn and work hard). I had the spicy kalbi and it had a kick, but it was the right amount. Yesterday I had the cheese ramen and it was great because of its flavor and simplicity. It's good food and it looked like they did a lot of online marketing. They are small and getting there.
