Spicy rigatoni

Gorgeous spot. Menu was awesome. Tuna tower was underwhelming. Pappadelle was nice and the spicy rigatoni could have been spicier but it was good. But worst dirty martini I've ever had.

Came in without a res on a weekend night and were luckily seated immediately. The service was fast and attentive. Love the chill, warm, and hip ambience of this place! The standout to me was the tuna tower that we got! It was like sushi but without the seaweed essentially. The fish was so fresh and tasty. The bolognese was also very delicious with great pasta as well. Overall would recommend this place for a nice dinner on the town! Ps Easy parking along the street.

Very cutesy, very demure, very mindful -- that's exactly what comes to mind when you step into this space. The beautiful grand doors make for a perfect photo op, as does the entrance area. We came for lunch and they were super friendly -- and dog friendly! My dog Enzo loved it just as much as we did as he patiently waited for a fry to fall (see pics). We arrived right at opening and were seated quickly. They have a lovely bar and a great menu with a mix of American classics, pastas, sushi, seafood, and more. We ordered a burger with fries and a salad, and both were fresh and elevated. They use organic ingredients and offer vegan substitutions, which is always a plus. Would definitely recommend if you're in Palm Desert.

Such a beautiful restaurant downtown Palm Desert! This is our go to restaurant when in the area, it makes for a beautifully light lunch! You can't go wrong with any of their salads, the salmon is also phenomenal! They make beautiful, cocktails, ideal for a date or get together with friends! I suggest making a reservation, especially for dinner. Plenty of easy parking, highly recommended!

Beautifully designed restaurant located on El Paseo in Palm Springs. From the moment you walk up, the restaurant gives you perfect Palm Springs mid-century vibes. The interiors are done in Kelly Green fabrics, Noguchi paper lanterns, and Ipe wood. It's absolutely stunning! I love the little corner booth that we were seated at. They are scattered throughout the restaurant and are very comfortable. The restaurant has both inside and outside dining. Where we sat, we watched a table fill up on the outside that had their dogs with them. I love restaurants that allow dogs! Once we were seated, our waters were brought to us immediately and our server came over quickly. Since we were out shopping, we just stopped in for a light appetizer so all I can speak to is the appetizers, but these were delicious! We both grabbed a cocktail, my friend had the Cali cleanse while I had the Seaside gin and tonic. I would say hers was delicious and although mine was good, it lacked a little flavor. For appetizers, we went with the tuna tower and guacamole. I love that they serve the guacamole with both tortilla chips and carrot chips! And the tuna tower was outstanding! Next time I'm in Palm Springs I would like to come back here for dinner so I can speak to their dinners. However, if you want a good lunch, but I think this is a really good choice.

I have been here several times and am never disappointed. We did start out outside, but it was a little warm, so we moved to the bar area. The service was quick and friendly. My drink was very good. I ordered the Porta Via salad, which I highly recommend. My husband had the park chop, he liked it too. We shared the crab cakes as an appetizer, they were crunchy, but a little fishy. I'll be back!

Highly recommend making a reservation and sitting on the patio if the weather permits. The menu is great we had sushi, blackened salmon and the meatball appetizer. Everything was fresh and delicious. Highly highly recommend the meatballs which were tender and delicious. Attire is nicer than casual.

Made a reservation for 7:15 for a group of 5. Showed up right on time, and didn't receive a server to take our drink order till 7:40. The server was apologetic, we ordered drinks and food and then the server never checked back in. I work in the industry so I'm not one complain but for a place that came highly recommended this was not great and was underwhelming on the service front! Food was great! But the manager sat us and walked past us 3 times and never made sure we were taken care of which was shocking!!!! No manager ever came over after a long initial great! Working in the industry I would have asked a manager to table check, no one ever checked in! Even though the food was great, the service was not worth going back for!

A Rocketship! What an amazing ride from start to finish. As we walked into Porta Via the mood was hip, fun, and the music, crowd set the tone for a good night. Service was spot on, friendly, quick, and informative. A pleasure to dine with. Now the FOOD was out of this world! My son had the Salmon which he loved, I had the Paperdella w/mushrooms both were fantastic! We started with Carpaccio and calamari, by the end we were so satisfied and in a food coma. When in town check out Porta Via, they'll take you to the moon and back!

10/10 I love the service and food everything well Seasoned I love will Come again great environment

A classic Palm Springs fav, with the best vibe and great food. I come here yearly and look forward to it every time.

Was really looking forward to having lunch here based on all the great reviews but left underwhelmed. Not sure if it was because we dined outdoors or what but service was definitely lacking. We had to keep asking for our water to be refilled, got charged twice for a drink, and waited quite a while for our check to come and then had to wave down another waiter because ours was no where to be found. The food was also slow which was unfortunate because we were a bit hungry after a morning at the zoo. The spicy vodka rigatoni sauce was very overpowered with garlic but the butternut squash ravioli was good.

Beautiful interior, awesome service, and great food. What more could you want? The restaurant has an open air concept leading from the main dining room to wraparound patio seating with really nice natural light. The rigatoni with spicy vodka sauce was delicious. Let me tell you, I ate it all! Lovely lunch spot with nice menu items. I will definitely be back for some dinner & cocktails.

The bartender did this on his own. Really nice gesture and it was delicious.

Can I be able to bring a birthday cake to the restaurant ? Just to take a cute pics since the place looks so nice

Sure. Saw other guests doing that. You will be charged cake cutting fee.

Is this a dog friendly place?

Julie, there is an outdoor patio and there was a table with a very well behaved dog there. I remember seeing water bowls outside, as well.

There were a lot of breakfast options, from specialty pancakes and waffles to unique omelets and Mexicandishes like Chilaquiles. I got the Biancasada omelet, which has carne asada, peppers, onions and cheese. It is served with your choice of side (I got potato wedges) and bread (I subbed the grilled peach specialty pancake). The omelet was ok...the carne asada wasn't great and the other ingredients could have been cooked more. The wedges were good, but I didn't like the grilled peach pancake as much as I thought I would and wished I would have got the lemon blueberry. Portions were big, and I took half to go. Hubby got the chorizo con papas omelet with hash browns cooked extra crispy and a buttermilk pancake. The omelet was really good, and the hash browns were cooked well. The pancake was a pancake. They only have Pepsi products, so I went with water, which they refilled well. There is indoor and outdoor seating, and they had Hawaiian music playing. I'd come back to try lunch. It was my first time to the area, and I was blown away by the beautiful views and the weather! Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at the Westin, and it was the perfect venue for a corporate conference. Check-in was severely delayed on the day of our check-in, but it did not affect us since we were out exploring the area. I overheard several very irritated people, though, as they were waiting to check in for many many hours, and rooms were not yet clean and ready until after 5pm. I enjoyed the spread out layout of this Westin, and it was convenient to have a room on the main floor. The convention spaces were good, but the air-conditioning made it feel like it was 50°, and everyone was shivering most of the conference. We enjoyed all of the food that we ate, and especially enjoyed the outdoor welcome reception that our conference hosted. It was such a beautiful backdrop, and well managed with great bar service and food options. We also enjoyed the adult pool area, and it was very convenient that it was just steps from our hotel room. Our room was a bit dated, but worked just fine for us. The bathroom was quite large, and easily accommodated multiple guests in one room. Beds were comfortable. The biggest issue we ran into was the power in our room didn't work all the time we called in maintenance, they fixed it, but then it broke again the next day it caused a fair amount of frustration, but the staff really worked hard to get it resolved. We enjoyed long walks around the golf course each morning, the coffee shop, the restaurants, and the ease of parking. We also saw a prom being hosted there and a wedding. The staff was friendly, and overall it was a great hotel for a conference!

Our rooms were supposed to be ready at 12:00 PM, but when we got there around 12:28 PM they still weren't available. We ended up waiting in the lobby for about 25 minutes just trying to speak to a manager because the front desk staff couldn't get the rooms unlocked. The employees at the front desk were polite and trying their best, so this is not directed at them, but the communication and management responsiveness really need improvement. After traveling all day, it was frustrating sitting in the lobby with no clear updates or help. Then after finally getting into the room, I went to take a shower and the shower hose had been pointed straight outward. The second I turned the water on, it sprayed directly into my face and all over the bathroom floor. When I turned the water back toward the shower, I noticed there was already a towel sitting inside the shower completely drenched, which honestly made the whole room feel like it hadn't been properly checked or prepared before guests arrived. The property itself is beautiful, but the overall experience definitely did not match the level of service I expect from a Marriott property.

Ordered the New York style hot pastrami on rye with coleslaw and a Dr. Brown's Cream Soda. The pastrami was the highlight. Piled high, tender, and full of that classic deli flavor with just the right amount of richness. The rye bread held everything together well and had a nice bite to it. It's the kind of sandwich you have to take a second to look at before figuring out how to eat it. The coleslaw was fresh and crisp, a good balance to the sandwich, and the cream soda was cold and refreshing. Also ordered a slice of pistachio cake to go. Absolutely delicious. The place has that old school deli feel, busy but in a good way, and full of character. Service was friendly and efficient even with the crowd. Definitely a spot worth stopping at if you're in Palm Desert and want a proper deli sandwich.

The everything bagel was perfectly acceptable, not too "bready." So: service good, pastrami good, and bagel good. Everything good about a deli is covered.
