This not only made up for the last experience but surpassed each and every expectation we could've had. My mom is so important to me and was literally blown away by how great everything was. The General Manager had given my mom a gift card to make up for the last experience and so my mom wanted to use it since Mr. Guy was incredibly professional and able to provide true reconciliation which prompted us to try again but this time at the Palm Desert location. Our server was happy, smiling, proactively providing refills, asking in advance if we need any more sauces. The ambiance and atmosphere was incredibly inviting. To the managers: Art & Mr. Guy please protect this server as her career is bright!! Dining there with her as our server, showed us that there is literally nothing better she could have done. We laughed Somehow the bill ended up perfectly coming out to the exact amount that our gift card was for. As we were about to pay the bill, my wife made a funny comment saying "This makes up for your birthday, the only thing missing is the cake." Stuft pizza has always been one of my go to spots for happy hour in the Coachella Valley. Every day they have happy hour inside the entire restaurant, but I usually just sit at the bar so I can watch some sports. They have a great selection of food and have never been let down. The bartenders are always cool and fun to chitchat with when they have a moment. It does get very busy during happy hour so you. If you do have to wait a few minutes. My friend in Palm Desert kept talking about Stuffed Pizza. I thought she was referring to stuffed-crust pizza from Pizza Hut. It wasn't until I went to place an order that I realized she was talking about Stuft Pizza! We ordered online and picked up to bring back home. They have a special pickup area, so you don't have to go into the restaurant, which is nice. The pizza was ready when I arrived and in their warmer, but I had to wait for the salads. It's nice to know the salads are made fresh and not premade, but it was strange that the salads took longer! When I got home, the pizza was amazing! Seriously, one of the best I've ever had. Just the right amount of spice in the sauce, the cheese was well melted, and I loved the crust. And it passed the sitting in the fridge and reheating test the next day, which is probably the most crucial test. This pizza was amazing but as a warning whenever u order things that have seeds such as dates always eat with precaution. I found a large seed on my pizza. The cook forgot to put onions on my pizza but staff was very kind & offered to add onions to pizza for just a 2 minute wait. This worked out well since the Brie cheese was not baked into the pizza but just added on top. We are from Northern California and this was our first visit to the Palm Springs area. The hotel we are staying at (Omni Rancho Mirage) recommended Stuft Pizza to us. This is my favorite restaurant in the Coachella Valley. I've been going since they opened over a dozen years ago. The owner, John, sets the outstanding tone for the restaurant and the entire staff is awesome from the bussers to the shift supervisors. The food is great and there is a truly great variety. The prices vary, so you can get food at almost any price for any budget. The location in the mall (the Palm Desert shops) is a convenient location at Hwy 111 near Monterey. ***FiSH HAPPENS*** About Last Night: Was leaving the mall, with intentions to eat another Sunday dinner at home, but wifey & I made a spontaneous decision to try their Baja Fish Tacos because we didn't feel like cooking again. Their Happy Hour(s) is 3pm-6pm daily and it was 5:40pm when we strolled by on our way out the mall. Glanced at the HH menu outside the resto...and we both said "Fish tacos" with a smile. Nicely greeted & seated by the hostess. We asked to sit inside the restaurant area in a booth opposed to the bar because it's more quiet. It was freezing cold throughout the resto and all the vents were blowing strong -- so strong it blew the check, receipt, and cash away, while I was trying to pay the bill at the end of din din. There's a few tv screens on the walls which is nice because I was able to see the last few innings of the Dodgers/Cubs game. In case you're wondering? The Dodgers lost to the Cubbies. Once seated, we were immediately approached by Armando, the fantastico waiter. I recognized him from the last time we came here for dinner a few years ago. Unfortunately, he and the outstanding service from the entire team were the only bright spot this visit. The Baja Fish Tacos were terrible. The pan seared sea bass was like mush. Had better frozen fish sticks from the school cafeteria in the 5th grade. Even if the fish were better, these tacos are so uninspiring. Who wants plain sour cream all over 3 fish tacos? Have you ever ordered a piece of fish and said "can I please have some sour cream with that?" If so, you're the only one I know. At least kick it up a notch with some more flavor. The corn tortillas used for these fish tacos? Awful and chewy. Only reason why we decided on these is because I/we love fish tacos, and a few years ago we had their sea bass piccata entree and it was good. Also, there was barely any fish inside the tacos. I guess that was a good thing -- if you prefer 3 slaw pico de gallo tacos with sour cream. These Baja fish tacos had zero game. McDonald's filet of fish is better than this. I highly suggest the management and head chef here rethinks how the Baja Fish Tacos are prepared and served, and the accompaniments and condiments too. I've eaten my fair share of fish tacos but these were honestly the worst ensemble ever. Fortunately, Armando the waiter was on his A-game. When he asked "how is everything?" we nicely told him the truth and asked for the check. When he resurfaced, he apologized and said he spoke with his manager and they'll find out what's going on in the kitchen, and explained that he took one of our orders off the bill. Thanked him but also expressed how disappointed we were with the meal since we had such a good experience with our sea bass a few years ago. Only reason why I'm giving 2 stars instead of one is because of Armando and the friendy service from the entire team at Stuft Pizza...and a more favorable experience here a few years ago. The manager is the worst I asked to speak with her after sitting there for 45 minutes not being served in every table around us got their food and they came in after us I never complain the manager should be fired. Mom and I couldn't believe how good it was so we returned two weeks later for prime rib Wednesday. What a joy that it was even better than our first time! Someone is training these servers right. I ordered a side of dressing with my meal and it was not brought out, that happens sometimes, but the issue is actually that our waiter didn't check on us for over 20 minutes once the food came out. The club sandwich was stacked and honestly delicious but kind of dry (hence the side of dressing). I didn't really dig into it until our waiter finally brought out the dressing after practically waiving him down. The salad was good-nothing impressive but not bad. The Mac and cheese with delicious but the chicken was pretty dry on top and lacking flavor.
