I was expecting this to be like the one in the city. But, it is not. At this location, they charge you by the piece. So a 5 piece chicken is upwards of $13. Which i find to be insane, especially since the location in the city gives you a full box of chicken for that price. Seeing the prices, made me go in and turn right back out. They do an excellent job at creating Korean BBQ Chicken. When you are in the area, I recommend seeking this place out. It is low key, high quality fast food, plenty of seating for a small place. That said, it does have heavy breading plus a syrupy sauce, and the wings of course have their skin, so while it is delicious and fun to eat, I personally would not eat it every day. More for a special occasion or once in a while as a treat. I would love to see them offer a lighter version of their chicken products, perhaps with no breading and with light sauce, or light breading and a light sauce. This new spot is such a great addition to the neighborhood. The staff is very friendly and helpful with questions, there is also a bathroom which is very clean. Service was professional and quick, I came on a Friday evening and got my order a few minutes after placing it at the front register. They have so many flavors available for the fried chicken so the food is never boring. My friend and I got the soy garlic which is the go to sauce for most Korean fried chicken, it's savory and fragrant. We also got the gangjeong which is savory with a hint of spicy, very pleasant for those who have a lower spice tolerance but still want to enjoy that taste. You can't have fried chicken without pickled sides! I also got the pickled radish and it has a good balance of sweet and tangy. Perfect palate cleanser with an enjoyable crunch between trying all the yummy foods. The cheesy fries has powdered cheese with secret sauce on top, this was soooo good I ate it up- slightly sweet and salty taste it's very addicting. The portions were all very generous, well seasoned, and best of all- really delicious!
