You come here for one reason. The wings. These are definitely the best Korean Wings around. I find this place better than Bon chon. Another recent discovery is that their boneless wings are just as good as their regular wings. I generally avoid boneless wings as they're nothing chicken nuggets or chicken tenders disguised, but here, these boneless chicken are battered and fried and are absolutely delicious. I recommend a side of white rice with it. I only come here for pick ups but this place has ample seating throughout the restaurant. They also have a full bar, but since i don't drink, its kind of a loss for me. I'd come here more often if the food was better for me, but I have to take it in moderation unfortunately. However, I've been here often enough that I've tried mostly every flavor. While I was running errands in the Bel Pre area (Silver Spring, Md), I came across this new restaurant. I thought by its name, it was traditional Korean food. They do sell Korean dishes, but most menu items seemed chicken based. I trithe chicken sandwich. Wow, it's better than any fast food chain I have ever had. It was hot, crispy, and juicy. It comes with spicy Mayo sauce, which is mild but very tasty. This restaurant features a full bar. No bartender on staff during my visit, so I did not partake. Our first experience here and we weren't disappointed. Upon entering, we weren't sure if it was seat yourself or order at kiosk. We planned to dine in, so we were pleased when we were immediately greeted and asked if we wanted take out and once we said dine in, she directed us to sit wherever we liked & she'd come with menus. Service was prompt, we had time to browse the menu & once we ordered she confirmed everything, told us chicken takes about 20 minutes & if we wanted the onion rings first, which we did. Nice to know food is cooked when ordered and not sitting waiting for customers, very hot & fresh! The onion rings were delicious with a slight spice to them, not over whelming but enough to notice. You have a choice of boneless or wings or half chicken. We both ordered the smallest quantity offered for the boneless of 8 pieces and we both were full! Portion size is great! I got the Secret Sauce which was delicious, a touch of sweet to the heat which was right up my alley. My husband got the Galbi. Both of us tried each other's and both were happy with our own selection. The batter on mine seemed less hard than the Galbi but both definitely were delicious. We want to definitely return to try some of the other flavors we had our eyes on. The restaurant was clean with a nice bar area, some tables & booths and several large screen TVs. I have now done carry out twice and dine-in once and I am adding the 5th star for this place. Their wings are so delicious and well prepared! I have tried numerous flavors of their wings (see previous review for two of them): - Secret Sauce Wings - The BEST! These have an amazing combination of savory and sweet. I will order these every time. - Soy Garlic Wings - These are seriously delicious and mysteriously better reheated the next day...so order some extras. - Cheesling Wings - okay so these are an acquired taste...which I have not yet acquired. Imagine fried wings dropped into a huge vat of Kraft Mac & Cheese powder and completely covered. If that sounds like your cup of tea then you are going to LOVE these. - Galbi Wings - These are a huge winner too. Bursting with flavor but watch the heat...unless you want to order them "spicy" in which case, you're on your own. - Gangnam Style Wings - I really loved these too. There's no sauce on them as all the flavoring is in the batter...which is thick! There's jalapenos in there but I didn't find it very spicy. And I am picky about fried chicken after growing up in the south where cooking fried chicken was a weekly occurrence. I only ordered whole pieces of fried chicken. They are diminutive pieces & I think a whole breast is divided into two thigh-size pieces. But these sizes are perfect for us. There is not too much breading and the chicken is not greasy. Looks like stellar ingredients, correct frying temperature, & cooking skill. One thing I need to add is that for my super sensitive palate, there is a touch of spice in the not spicy chicken. I visited for a take out lunch. I ordered the secret sauce chicken. The chicken pieces were small but delightful tasting - sweet and spicy. To order take out you use a kiosk in the front. My difficulty was there is almost no description for each item on the kiosk and no printed menus are available. So I read Yelp reviews to figure out what to order. It takes about 20 minutes to get your food (so I recommend you order in advance vs coming to store as I did) - good news is that results in a very freshly cooked order! The place has very nice pretty decently stocked bar with 4 tvs showing mostly sports plus a biggggg screen which shows whatever they elect to play. Prices are appropriate. We thought we'd give the business another try and had another LF so we ordered bone-in wings and different flavors (Original and Honey Garlic) to go. Both were good. The issue came when we tried to use the LF. The owner got animated, saying they coupons didn't work and that he had issues getting reimbursed from LF, so he wasn't sure he'd accept them. We told him we understood, but that we don't have anything to do w/ his dealings w/ LF. It was an odd moment, especially since the coupons worked fine when he scanned the QRcode. The waiter was really nice and professional, so we tipped on the total bill vs what was owed after the LF. Then he said we couldn't use them on the same day, even though they'd been purchased separately by separate people and for separate orders. He got upset and said he'd have to void the order vs honoring the LF. We told him if he preferred that route, that's fine. We were just trying to try more food and use our coupon. He ultimately let us use them, but it was pretty off-putting and unnecessary. We tried to tip on this order also, but the owner told us not to since he would probably have to void the order anyway. I've been waiting for this place to open for over a year, so I was super excited to finally have the chance to dine in recently. There is no Korean fried chicken in the immediate vicinity, so the prospect was super exciting for me. If you've never had Korean fried chicken before, it tends to be extra crispy (much more so than American style) and feature bold flavors. This bb.q Chicken location is bright, clean, and welcoming. There is actually an impressively-sized, full-service bar inside with with beer and liquor. There are stools at the bar and TVs as well. The TVs were playing sports games while we were there, and they very kindly put the Caps game on at our request, which we really appreciated. I'd love to see them utilize their bar to its full potential and put on happy hours or other events (maybe sports watch events?). The surrounding area could definitely use another small community bar! The food was so, so good. We ordered several flavors of wings and they were all really good but the spicy golden original blew us away. The breading was amazingly crisp, flavorful, and just the right amount of spicy (appreciably more spicy and flavorful than Popeye's spicy) and the chicken was incredibly juicy. The soy garlic and spicy galbi were both also very good, but we agreed that the simple perfection of the spicy golden original was our favorite of the evening and something we planned to order each time going forward. The location is brand new so we expected opening month hiccups, and there were some, but nothing major and I'm sure they'll get smoothed out in time. I haven't gone to their other locations but I can say I sincerely like the service at this one. The DMV overall has a lot of Korean fried chicken joints but this one is my top 3. We always order the half and half which comes with the original and the secret sauce (a little spicy but more tangy and sweet). However my family LOVES the gangnam style boneless and I definitely recommend that if it's your first time trying out the place. I have tried this place twice this month! I have only had boneless and traditional wings. I think I prefer the boneless with its crispy battered coating. I usually visit in the evening and the two times I was there the place was pretty empty (1 guy eating at the bar). Carry-out orders are self-placed at the front of the bar. They don't print receipts so, I won't be able to scan it into fetch. You can sit on the bench and wait 20 minutes for your food or wait in your car. Be sure to come back as they will not text you when your order is ready. I was the only one waiting for an order but the waitress still asked me if I ordered and what I ordered. It was hard telling her because I didn't have a receipt. After fumbling a little I saw my name on the receipt and said it was mine. The wings are pricey but I will be back. read more

I have to give this place 5 stars because the chicken is delicious! Crispy, flavorful, everything you expect. There are some reviews that talk about the service and although I have not had a sit down meal, I have carry out at least 2x week. I was waiting for a carry out order and one of the employees came to check in on my kid and I. She was very sweet and talkative with him, and I appreciated the interaction with her, but I am sure the gentleman that was in line to pay his check couldn't appreciate his wait. If you are looking for a place to eat and watch the game with a good pint, we finally have a place at Plaza del Mercado. The employees are young and with time the service will improve. They were served hot, fresh, crispy, and super crunchy. One thing I feel upset is, it wasn't spicy as I expected. (Next time I have to try the hottest obe) The staffs are friendly and my ordered was ready on time. Inside the restaurant looks very new style and comfortable for hanging out and party. I also ordered sweet potatoes fries about $7. It was as good as usual. Event though it's nothing fancy and a little bit pricey but at least I have a place to get it now because most of restaurants around my area doesn't have it! Maybe I'll swing by one day to grab something in person based on reviews of the food, but as a warning to others I wouldn't order something from them via Grubhub. My order was supposed to arrive at my house by 6:30pm. I get a call from their restaurant at 6:17pm saying they can't make my order because they see my Grubhub order but they don't have a "ticket" printed. When I told them the orders been paid for and the driver is waiting outside, the only answer I kept getting was "sorry we don't have a ticket". Luckily Grubhub canceled the order for me and refunded it. 1) if you see an order from Grubhub, it's been paid for because they charge you as soon as you submit the order. You're getting paid, not sure why you need a piece of paper to confirm that when you're looking at my order details on the screen. 2) your continued explanation of "I need a ticket to cook" doesn't explain to your customer what the issue is...again, you just told me you see my order details from Grubhub...you know what to cook, not seeing the problem. 3) the lack of offering the solution was the most annoying part - ok you don't have a ticket, so what can you do to help remedy this situation instead of continually telling me you don't have a ticket (I heard you the first 3 times) 4) why are you just now calling me 15 mins before the food is supposed to be at my house to tell me you can't fulfill the order?
