Food is not bad, price is reasonable for all you can eat. Rolls are not as good and taste a bit too oily. We had the all you can eat and like the Ribeye Steak, Pork Belly and Bulgogi. The place was pretty packed so I recommend reservation instead of walk in. There is a parking lot across the street on Wayne St for easy parking. Wait staff was ok not the best. Oh and be prepared to cook unlike other Korean BBQ where server cook it for you here you have to cook it yourself.

I love this place so much. I think I've eaten there at least 10 times in the past year and I've invited different people and they love the food also. The meat is high quality and always consistent! The waiters are always on top of changing the grills, and they always answer any questions about how to do KBBQ if it's not someone's first time. I think the ambiance is quaint, but I'm not actually a huge fan of seeing k-pop videos/ music selection, but it's not distracting

Went here on Veterans Day to catch up with a friend. I believe this is my second time getting Korean AYCE BBQ. The rarity it is for me to come to Silver Spring but it was worth it. I wasn't a fan of the wait but we were eventually seated. It was kinda dark in the restaurant, gave off blue light vibes. We ordered the option A (it was 24.99 or 29.99, can't recall) 90 minutes lunch special & partook in the all day 50% off Happy Hour for drinks. I must say I was highly impressed with the food and the drinks. We also got the Fall season themed drinks (also 1/2 off for Happy Hour) & they were FANTASTIC. Of course I had to get the Pumpkin Spice expresso. I would definitely come back again and get full as a tick again. I couldn't tell you the distance from the Silver Spring Metro because I drove.

    "japchae"

Calling is korean kbbq is a joke. Food is white washed to the max and everything is either drenched in sesame oil or spice to make it "asian". japchae with only noodles DRENCHED in sesame oil mind you and offering sushi that's as good as gas station food. thin slice brisket is THICK sliced and thick cut pork belly is THIN disappointed considering the 4 star reviews. wouldn't come back here

Wenthere during a recent visit to see friends. I'll give it 4 stars. If you're expecting a traditional authentic Korean BBQ, this is probably not the place for you. Firepan is more of a modern spin on KBBQ. We got the all you can eat, which is a great deal. You can pick any of the meats and you get. I would recommend the soy and spicy marinated meats. The kimchi is ok, but you won't get the 8 or so banchands that you would at other places. Our server was excellent and I don't remember her name. She was attentive and gave us a rundown of what to expect. She brought most things promptly but it was a busy night. Parking maybe challenging but you can also take the metro. All in all, I'd probably go back again. But my KBBQ pocket is only half full.

Of course as a first timer I was excited to see the hype. It's definitely hyped sadly I couldn't enjoy my entire experience because it was super busy being Valentines Day evening but even with that the server was forgetful, and wasn't really attentive to the table. We ordered the steak & chicken , also sushi rolls the sushi 10/10 !! Definitely worth a try and the K-Steak was delicious very tasty. The only issue was the Chicken it wasn't flavorful and was very easy to burn on the grill. I have to return for a better experience because it wasn't bad just busy and I understand crazy nights happen

We had a fun experience at Firepan. I thought mostly everything we had was good, including the strawberry soju and old-fashioned. The bar looked nice and I'd stop in for just a drink. Salad and kimchi were delicious. We all liked our meats. I recommend skipping the Korean fried chicken. I thought it was going to be Bonchon-style, but it was very lackluster and not even close. Server was friendly, though inattentive. We definitely had trouble flagging her and getting more water, etc. It also took forever for the check to come. We went early enough so there was not a wait, but I definitely recommend reservations. I'd return if wanting KBBQ and not wanting to drive to Rockville.

Went to Firepan for a nice weeknight dinner. The restaurant was mostly empty and quiet but more people started to come in as the evening got later. We ordered the Option A which is All-You-Can-Eat and included different cuts of chicken, pork, and beef. Our server was very attentive and our meats came out quickly. While it's not the best KBBQ in the area you get a lot of value for what you are paying. I would put it on the same level as Iron Age for KBBQ in the MD suburbs.

It's probably harder and bigger groups but if you're just coming in two or four or even six, it should be pretty manageable. My favorite here is the pad Thai. I get extra lime and the spicy tray. And it's one of the best pad Thais I've had. The drunken noodles was OK and the green curry was OK for me. Not bad but also not what I'd be returning for (I'm coming back for pad thai!) my husband loved the green curry though. The decor was lovely and the ambiance represented an upscale experience in my opinion. They even offered free champagne and it was good! My friend and I tried: the Sticky Ribs Suya, Jerk-Braised Short Ribs with Curry Pea Risotto, Oxtail Mac & Cheese, and the Suya-Spiced Lamb Chops. All of the food was absolutely delicious, my only gripe would be that the lamb chops didn't come with enough green beans. The "Up All Night" (their version of an espresso martini) was also pretty good. Next time, I'd opt to get a traditional espresso martini though. Lastly, the service was outstanding. Our waitress was very kind, attentive, and timely. We even left her an extra tip. If I had to make a suggestion, the big ape could be moved elsewhere. It really does take up too much space.

The…read morerestaurant is relocating to Miami, and unfortunately, its sister restaurant Huncho House closed a few months ago as well. Since I've enjoyed both restaurants, I definitely wanted to stop by 1123 one more time before they left. The restaurant is still beautifully decorated and has a really chill vibe. The music was mostly R&B, which fit the atmosphere perfectly. Service was still as great as I remembered it. Our waitress was friendly, very knowledgeable about the menu, and offered some great suggestions when I asked for recommendations. I started with the Laugh Now Cry Never cocktail, which kind of reminded me of a Painkiller. It was very fruity and very sweet, so it's one of those drinks where you need to be careful because it doesn't taste nearly as strong as it actually is. For an appetizer, we got the Jollof Rice Arancini. It was pretty good and definitely satisfying, although I thought it was a little dry and slightly overcooked. Even with that, I still enjoyed it and would probably order it again. My friend ordered the Oxtail Ramen. She thought it was okay overall, but the soy egg was aggressively salty. She had the Chicken Ramen back at 1123's soft opening phase and she enjoyed that one a little more. The Lobster Mashed Potatoes were still really good. They were very buttery and flavorful, and this was definitely one of the sides that stood out to me. The Oxtail Mac & Cheese was a first for me at 1123. I actually liked it much more than the version I had at Huncho House. I really enjoyed the pasta they used, and it was much cheesier. The Scallops with Crab Risotto was my absolute favorite. I'm not a huge scallop person, but I do love a good risotto, and the risotto is definitely the star of this dish. I will say I was slightly disappointed because I had this dish at Huncho House a couple of years ago, and the scallops were much bigger and tasted a little less fishy. Even so, the risotto was so good that the dish was still my favorite of the night. We also had the Plantain Bread Pudding for dessert, and it was delicious. I liked that it wasn't overly sweet, which can sometimes be an issue with bread pudding. It was a really nice way to end the meal. All in all, I'm really sad that 1123 is closing and moving out of state. Although I visit Miami occasionally, there are so many amazing restaurants there that I don't know if I would necessarily go out of my way to seek out a restaurant that I've visited a few times before. But I really enjoyed my experiences at 1123 and Huncho House, and I'm glad I was able to visit one more time before they closed. Best wishes to the 1123 team on their move to Miami. I'll really miss this place.

None of us were from this area, and we intended to go to the Mayflower Chinese Restaurant, based on Yelp reviews. We walked next door to the Meleket Ethiopian restaurant. However, the place was deserted, and we didn't stay there either.
