Our whole table (one of their rules) got the second-level option which allowed us to get some bulgogi. We ate mostly that and ribeye. 2 orders of each meat fed 5 of us, and we are big eaters. The appetizers and sides were good as well. Our waiter was attentive and on top of it. The service is awesome, even when it got really busy on a Friday night. The inside of the restaurant had a fun KPOP vibe with several TVs playing KPOP music videos. The interior was nicely lit and decorated for the occasion. We will be coming back! OMG I can't believe I let almost a month go by without writing this! We went for DGD's birthday dinner back in March and it was terrific. Parking isn't fun - there is a big garage across a very busy street, and it's free, but man! taking your life in your hands to cross? No thanks! Anyway, we had to wait somewhere around 5 minutes, which isn't bad considering how busy it was on a Saturday evening. We were just extra glad that (1) we had a reservation and (2) we made it for early. Our server was very efficient and took good care of us, although not especially friendly or fun. It's OK, since we make our own fun, and there are times when I at least prefer less interaction. I don't know that any of my family members were bothered by it. The food was excellent and it's always fun to cook your own. One other thing we were very glad of and that is we were finishing up when they cranked up the KPop music to ear-splitting volume. Went here on Veterans Day to catch up with a friend. I believe this is my second time getting Korean AYCE BBQ. The rarity it is for me to come to Silver Spring but it was worth it. I wasn't a fan of the wait but we were eventually seated. It was kinda dark in the restaurant, gave off blue light vibes. We ordered the option A (it was 24.99 or 29.99, can't recall) 90 minutes lunch special & partook in the all day 50% off Happy Hour for drinks. I must say I was highly impressed with the food and the drinks. We also got the Fall season themed drinks (also 1/2 off for Happy Hour) & they were FANTASTIC. Of course I had to get the Pumpkin Spice expresso. I would definitely come back again and get full as a tick again. Wenthere during a recent visit to see friends. I'll give it 4 stars. If you're expecting a traditional authentic Korean BBQ, this is probably not the place for you. Firepan is more of a modern spin on KBBQ. We got the all you can eat, which is a great deal. You can pick any of the meats and you get. I would recommend the soy and spicy marinated meats. The kimchi is ok, but you won't get the 8 or so banchands that you would at other places. Our server was excellent and I don't remember her name. She was attentive and gave us a rundown of what to expect. She brought most things promptly but it was a busy night. Parking maybe challenging but you can also take the metro. The food was great! Our waitress was very attentive to everything. Anything we needed she took care of it, even before asking at times. Ambiance is good, very dim lighting. Happy Hour now it gets loud at the bar so be prepared. The ventilation was great my clothes didn't smell like food/smoke after! We haven't been back in over a year, and honestly, we should have chosen somewhere else. It was very busy for a Saturday night, and I understand how hectic it can be for the hostesses and staff. However, the service we received was disappointing. My husband and I could barely place an order because our server stopped at our table so briefly each time. We ended up having to flag down other waiters just to get assistance. When I asked for another pair of scissors because the ones provided were dull, he aggressively took them and began cutting our meat into tiny pieces without asking if that was okay. It felt very rude and unnecessary. Additionally, when I informed the hostess that the soap in the women's restroom was empty, she brushed it off as if it wasn't important. It's definitely hyped sadly I couldn't enjoy my entire experience because it was super busy being Valentines Day evening but even with that the server was forgetful, and wasn't really attentive to the table. We had a fun experience at Firepan. I thought mostly everything we had was good, including the strawberry soju and old-fashioned. The bar looked nice and I'd stop in for just a drink. Salad and kimchi were delicious. We all liked our meats. I recommend skipping the Korean fried chicken. I thought it was going to be Bonchon-style, but it was very lackluster and not even close. TLDR: One of the best AUCE KBBQ spots in MoCo. Excellent service, quality meats and reasonable price for the selection. Vibe: 5/5 - Firepan is located in the heart of downtown Silver Spring, so come prepared to street park or garage. Fortunately, there is a huge garage across the street from the restaurant that is reasonably priced which we opted for. Firepan has a deceivingly small storefront that can be easily missed, however once you are inside the restaurant goes deep within the building. With around 2 dozen grill tables, Firepan gets popping at peak hours. My party of 12 were able to comfortably sit at 2 adjacent tables for our 8pm reservation. The restaurant is well laid out, clean and perfect for groups both small and large. Service: 5/5. The Firepan staff were very accommodating from start to finish. My party of 12 had staggered arrival times for our 8pm reservation, however the hostess was able to seat us after we had more than 50% of our party present. The reservation process was also a breeze, as we had to call it in due to the size and they were able to accommodate our 2 tables adjacent request. Our server did a fantastic job keeping our group happy with taking meat orders, drinks and fresh grill pans. This is a grill yourself KBBQ experience vs. the server doing the cooking, so be forewarned. Bonus points for the staff accommodating a birthday with free dessert (ice cream for the table) and candles! Food: 5/5. In a sea of AUCE KBBQ restaurants in MoCo, Nova and DC, Firepan is a solid contender for best in show. My group was impressed not only with the quality of meats they use, but the selection was also robust enough to keep is happily munching away for the full 2 hour dinner duration. Highlights included the chadol brisket and the thin sliced pork belly which are staples for any KBBQ but when done right are amazing. The banchan and side items were also noteworthy. The kimchi was crisp and tart, the steamed egg was perfectly umami and the rice cakes were spicy and chewy as they should be. We opted for the most expensive all inclusive menu which included premium items such as bulgogi sushi and calamari which were tasty as well. The place looked mostly empty and there weren't any other groups waiting. Watching a half‑empty restaurant refuse to honor a reservation was baffling. On March 7, 2026, my family and I visited Firepan Korean BBQ. While the food was okay, I was disappointed with the service. The waitress did not come to our table often and did not ask whether we had been there before. She also did not explain the menu or how to cook the food properly. When I got home, I noticed that we were overcharged on our receipt for an extra person, which was my one-year-old grandson. This really upset me. The tables had to split with 5 people per table but we were right across from each other and seated pretty close to our reservation time. Our food selections were delicious and what you expect from a prime Korean bbq. Our servers were pretty attentive and kept the soju coming. Decent all-you-can-eat (AYCE) Korean BBQ place in Silver Spring. We made a reservation but didn't need it (Sunday dinner). Among the many AYCE meats, the highlights were the soy pork bulgogi and the soy chicken thigh. We ordered Option C ($37 for dinner), which comes with all items in Option A (mostly chicken and pork) and Option B (various sushi rolls), plus a few specialty items. We tried the butter ribeye (it got overcooked and didn't have great flavor) and the marinated shrimp (honestly quite good, and it had a nice lightness that contrasted well with the heavier meats). Overall, Option C isn't much more than either A or B, but I think there's a reason for that. We really enjoyed the shrimp tempura roll, the bulgogi, and the thick-cut pork belly as well. The thin-cut pork belly was not as good, but maybe that was because we let it cook too long (it's very thin). Their banchan wasn't very expansive (only five items) and the sides generally left a little to be desired (I wished there were rice paper wraps). But, we were there for the meat of course, and they did well in that department. I think I would come back. This place is not like that at all. The meat was flavorful and a good cut. The spicy firepan steak is 10/10, K-ramen 10/10, spicy begulgi (beef) 10/10. The atmosphere is a cool vibe that is perfect for either a family or date night. It is dimly lot to provide that romantic feel but also entranced with a unique design and color scheme to make it family friendly. You are able to have conversations and hear one another. The service was excellent and the staff work together to make sure you have a pleasurable experience. When we first got there we had to wait on our table but the hostess directed us to the bar to wait and the bartender was friendly and engaging. This was a nice little venture! Met up with a crew randomly to enjoy some KBBQ. I've been eyeing the spot for a while... it's one of quite a few locations in the area now. Most recently, I believe one opened up in Waldorf. First off, huge shout out to the staff for accommodating our desired seating arrangements, since there ended up being a little less of us then planned and we didn't want to be split. Once we got settled, service began and it was lovely! We all got Option C to optimize our options. Squid, ribeye, bulgogi, thin-sliced steak... we tried all the things. Some meats had more flavor than others, but the sauces were able to easily compensate that. And you know what was good? The sushi! Usually it comes second fiddle in any restaurants where BBQ or hot pot shine, but it was good! Great place to go if you're feeling hungry! The price of all-you-can-eat is hard to beat compared to other kbbq places especially because the meat and sides are quality. Everything is so flavorful; the classic brisket, pork belly, soy pork belly, and steak are delicious. The sides are also just as good, our table had many servings of the soup and steamed egg. The orders came out very fast and our server was very respectful and made sure we had everything. She visited the table many times and the pacing of food was on par. The service at Firepan Korean BBQ was exceptional! The waiter was so attentive...asking us what our next requested meat would be before our plates were emptied. We never had to look for him,and he was constantly changing the pan, so it was always clean for our next round. We started with thin sliced brisket and pork, and although they were definitely tasty, I think I'll skip them next time and go straight to the bulgogi. The chicken thigh was tastier than expected, and nothing labelled "spicy" was TOO spicy! Just the right amount of heat. The BBQ was served with the traditional Korean sides...kimchi, pickled radish (my favorite), sweet potato noodles, and another I don't really remember...and three condiments...one suggested for marinated meats, one for non-marinated meats...and one that was really salty! They added another kitchen tool to my list of favorites...scissors! It was SO much easier than cutting things to bite size with a knife! Made it more fun, and faster!
