Everyone there was super nice and on top of everything, we felt very welcome. Our food came out fast and we tried all of their sides while we waited. By far our favorite was their potatoes! I don't know what they do differently from other places that I've had them but they were perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. Then out comes our BBQ and it was amazing. We got one beef bulgogi and one spicy pork bulgogi, both were really good. The beef was our favorite, it was so savory and tender and had a delicious sauce. The onions on both were also really good. The pork was still really tasty, we liked the spice a lot, but it was a little fatty which is to be expected with the pork. I can't wait to come back for more!! read more

We found a new hidden treasure in Orlando! Before shopping at the market in the plaza, we wanted to shop around for a place to eat. Right next door was this Korean eatery with enticing pictures from their menu. The pictures alone made our minds up for us! Yelp 100 Challenge 2018: 98/100 Absolutely loved this place, so much that I came here twice in a week! The restaurant, as most restaurants probably do around this area, closes very early at 8:30pm. My coworker and I walked in 15 minutes before the restaurant closing time and was welcomed without any looks. We sat down and quickly ordered the seafood pancakes and the ramen soon tofu, and side dishes were immediately brought out to us. The food came quickly and I really liked how they gave us two bowls of rice to share between the two of us for one order of soon tofu! The seafood pancake was amazing! It had tons of shrimp and octopus, and the imitation crab meat flakes on top were all amazing! The soon tofu portion was also huge, and we also had lots of complimentary side dishes to munch on! We came back a second time within the same week cause my coworker and I were craving their seafood pancakes and wanted their black bean noodles (jajjangmyung) which we thought was served on Friday. We were so disappointed to find out they didn't have the black bean noodles, but they were willing to make it for us off the menu!!! For the price we paid, the portion was more than what I had expected. The quality of the food was much better than what I would expect in the outskirts of Orlando (coming from Los Angeles), and the service was impeccable! This is one of the best Korean Restaurants in Orlando. There were numerous things that stood out to me. 1. The Banchan - at least 6 different types all of them delicious. For me good Banchan needs variety of the traditional Asian palate: sour, salty, sweety, & spicy. This banchan combined hit all those notes. The kimchi - cabbage & radish were both delicious. Right mix of sweet, heat, sour, crunch & funk. 2. I got the combo platter: seafood tofu soup & the bone in galbi. The tofu soup was spot on, right flavors and nice mixture of tofu & seafood. The galbi was delicious and grilled properly. My wife got the plain bibimpap. It was a huge bowl and also delicious. My only complaint and it is minor one is that it is on the pricey side. However since orlando lacks the Korean community like DC or Chicago or LA, Korean food prices will remain higher than I would like but the food quality was so good, it's worth the price. Two things: 1. The owner is Korean/Chinese. I was thrown off by the wait staff being Hispanic but after speaking with the owner I was confident that I was going to get authentic Korean food. 2. You can buy any of the banchan and Kimchi. So if you have a hankering for Korean food at home, buy some of the banchan and take it home with you. I would buy this kimchi over any kimchi here in town, including the Korean grocery stores. Go and enjoy this awesome restaurant. read more

We were in the Pine Hills Asian plaza area and was craving Korean food. From the outside I was a little skeptical to try it out but i was very satisfied with my meal here! The place was closing at around 8:30, and we arrived at 8 and they didn't seem to mind that we arrived 30 minutes before closing. Staff is very friendly and greeted us right away. We ordered the tteok-Bokki which are rice cakes and another entree that had teriyaki chicken with melted cheese on it. Entrees come with rice each and sides such as Kim chi, Japchae, bean sprouts, potato, rice cakes, and pickled cabbage. The food came out fairly quick and everything that was ordered was super flavorful! The tteok-bokki had a spice to it which was different from other Korean restaurants cause it was actually spicy. And the teriyaki dish with melted cheese on top was also very delicious. We shared this meal amongst 4 people and it hit the spot and we all left very full. read more

Environment This is right beside the Oriental supermarket near towards the Magic Outlet building, if you are facing Oriental it is to the right side. Originally, my parents and I wanted to dine out at a Chinese restaurant but we decided last minute to try BBB Tofu House! We were surprised to see a pretty full house at 8:00PM and how busy they were! From the start, the staff and owner were kind and courteous. We were sat immediately and we decided the dishes we wanted to order! We got the bulgogi tofu stew, galbi and seafood pancake. We didn't realize that they only provide us 2 bowls of rice so we asked another bowl (seafood pancake does not come with rice since it is an appetizer). My dad and I loved the galbi (which you can never go wrong with). My mom liked the seafood pancake because of the variety of seafood in it (shrimp, imitation crab, squid, etc). She also enjoyed that it was crunchy on the top and soft and chewy on the bottom/inside. My dad and I went to BBB Tofu House one time before and we agreed that the seafood tofu stew is much better than the bulgogi tofu stew that we got this visit. Though I am a huge fan of bulgogi, I am not sure why I did not like it as much as the seafood tofu stew! I'm a Korean BBQ fan. Just read my headline. I live for this stuff. From what I understand, this place has just recently opened and is not in full swing yet. I look forward to the full potential of this restaurant. The place is well decorated. I actually had a great time eating my Galbi and watching Kpop on TV. The quality of the food here is phenomenal. Clearly a lot of effort was put into my dish. I'll admit that I'm a glutton when it comes to Bulgolgi and Galbi, so I usually frequent the all you can eat places. But I truly do feel that for what you pay, it's a superb quality/ quantity ratio and I hope that never changes. I grew up on Korean food so when I ate here, it reminded me of home. It's always the hole in the wall places that make the best meals! I loved that they offer boricha, a roasted barley tea, which can be served hot or cold. My party and I ordered the tofu ramen stew and seafood pancake. The spices in the stew were on par, ramen wasn't over cooked, and it came with excellent presentation delivered to your table while it's boiling and pipin' hot enough for you to crack a raw egg in. I didn't feel like they skimped on any seafood ingredients so it wasn't just 95% tofu stew. One is enough to share between 2 people. The meal came with an assortment of fresh and well seasoned bonchon (side dishes) to compliment the rice and main dish. They offered a nice variety. The seafood pancake was pretty good with ample amounts of krab. It comes with a soy based vinegar dip and best ordered to share amongst a big party. Definitely coming back here. Oh My Goodness!! finally a good token homey Korean restaurant in Orlando :) For the past few months, this restaurant has been gaining traction within the asian community for being a solid tofu soup place. During my short visit in Orlando, I had to check this place out and confirm these honorable mentions. My mother and I ordered the kalbi and tofu soup special along with the bibimbap and it was definitively more than enough food for the both of us. The side dishes that was presented were all my favorites and definitely paired well with our dishes. The kalbi was super tasty and you could definitely tell that the marinade was A+. The bibimbap came out blazing hot, which I loved l, as it made for such a wonderful crispy rice ending at the end of my meal. Pair that crispness with the soup and I'm in heaven. This is a great place to go if you've got a tofu craving and you enjoy spicy Korean food. But even more than that they have tons of other great options from seas food, clams, shrimp and beef, you'll want to try it all. The bulgogi (Korean bbq beef) and the Galbi (Korean beef short ribs) were both very well marinated and cooked. I enjoyed the flavors and they went very well with the sides. BBB is worth a try and for me I hope I have time to go back and try some more foods! Seating for groups of upto 8 this restaurant isn't destined for huge crowds but when it gets busy the waits aren't to bad. Great place to come in Orlando's Chinatown when craving for korean food! They are known for their sizzling bowl of korean soon tofu, spicy super soft tofu soup! It comes in a little cute size when you order it with the lunch / dinner special combo. Their portion is really really big for the combo, because you get a choice of meal that comes with rice, side dishes, meat and soon tofu. Enough for 2 people to share tbh. The spicy rice cake was really great, I added cheese for an extra charge, and definitely recommends it with the cheese. Usually the rice cake is like an appetizer, but even the rice cake cake in a really big bowl, and really really filled us up. Their kimchi fried rice was okay, a tad too salty for us. I just wished that they didn't mix up the rice and cheese "for us", cuz it would've been nice if we could've don't it ourselves. Our family has been coming here for close to 5 years now and it's still our favorite restaurant in Orlando. I've been here a couple of times and I have to say, it's the most authentic tofu house there is, in Orlando, at least. I like the combo one seafood, extra spicy! The customer service is great as well, the owner was very friendly. Once he realized I can speak Korean, he got much friendlier. It was definitely a good vibe. The side dishes are also really good, you can tell they took their time making the side dishes. It might not be a lot for many but for Koreans, it's the staple of the meal. But the reason I give it a four star is because of some of the prices. I don't know if they have changed certain prices but some of the prices were way out of proportion and I personally didn't think it was worth the price (chicken, etc) As for the soup, it's very fairly priced and it was amazing! If you're wanting some traditional style bibimbap and Korean soups (with side dishes of course), look no further. BBB Tofu House is some of the best I've had (outside of Korea). I've been twice and have had the Spicy Pork and Kimchi Bibimbap in a hot stone pot, Original Beef Soon Tofu, Clam Soon Tofu, and the Spicy Pork Bulgogi. Each dish was absolutely delicious. The Bibimbap comes out in a hot stone pot with assorted veggies, spicy pork, kimchi, and an over easy egg. They also bring you gochujang as well in case you like it extra spicy. Traditional bibimbap typically has beef bulgogi but I love spicy so I wanted to try it with the spicy pork. Honestly, I think I like it even more than the beef. It gives a nice flavor to everything, but if you don't like spicy, go with the beef bulgogi and I know it'll be just as good. The Beef Soon Tofu is similar to that of Yukgaejang. It doesn't have quite as many veggies in it but the beef is very good and the base is a spicy broth with tofu. If you don't want the spice, they also have non spicy soon tofus like the Galbi Soon Tofu (also yummy). The Clam Soon Tofu is basically the same but with clams. While very good, it's a little messy to get the clams out. And with the heat that these soups are served at, some of the shell pieces can break. For the Spicy Pork Bulgogi entree, it comes on top of sautéed onions. They give you a very nice portion with a bowl of rice as well. It's the same spicy pork that's in the bibimbap so very good if you're wanting just some great Korean bbq. Like typical Korean restaurants, you also have an arrangement of banchan (side dishes). The kimchi is amazing. Some of the best restaurant kimchi I've ever had. The kimchi radishes are extremely good too. They also have things like black beans, bean sprouts, fish cakes, etc. The prices may be a little higher than other Korean restaurants, but for the quality and amount of food you get, it's totally worth it. read more

I was soo happy to have discovered this place! It kind of reminds me of the tofu house in Irvine/SD. My bf and I discovered this place after dropping off our ballots (yay voting) and wanted to celebrate by eating somewhere new! As we drove up we discovered that BBB Tofu house was in an Asian shopping center! Who knew?! (Well tbh I'm still new here from the West Coast so I'm still figuring out my bearings). We were sat safely away from other patrons and were greeted by masked servers. We ordered the la kalbi combo entree which included a soondubu soup. They offered an option to upgrade the soondubu soups to their other soup selection as to which we happily did! We also ordered dinner Mackerel entree. All meals came with a bowl of rice and korean side dishes to share. We devoured the whole meal and were actually hungry for more. (NO judgement zone) So we decided to order a full galbi meat entree. The server didn't judge and happy rang up our order. I mean my bf is a bigger guy so you gotta feed him right? Also we like to bring home a to-go box of all the leftover bones for our dog at home (she knows that we went to get bbq the moment we get home so we can't make her mad at us!). I got recommended by a friend. This place is located in the Asian shopping plaza where Sapporo ramen is. I often go to Sapporo however I did not know about this place! I loved that they serve choice of Grilled entree w/choice of Korean soap! You get to taste two different stuff at one time! I had grilled pork with Galbi soup. We also ordered kimchi fried rice they cook in front of you on the hot stone pan. And requested vegetable pancake. They were all super tasty! Yes very good! (11/24/2018) was heading to 1st Oriental to do some grocery shopping with mom, wanted to try something a little different for lunch than the usual 2 meat and rice lunchbox combo. The signs in the windows in Chinese touting tofu specialties caught mom's eye, I was intrigued by Korean food in west Chinatown. I was misled by the BBB, my brain was thinking Korean BBQ. It was a touch early, so we were seated immediately. Interestingly, didn't see any Asians working there until the very end of our meal, when the owner showed up and he and our Hispanic server were speaking Mandarin! Mom was a little shocked. Food was Korean-style. Most dishes seemed ever so slightly out of step with the Korean food I'm used to (at establishments where the owners, staff, and patrons are Korean). The clientele for here was more the half white when I was there (soccer moms ordering hot sake in the middle of the day). The dishes had good flavors, but like I said, ever so slightly different from most Korean places. One example, an overly crusty seafood pancake, with the shredded surimi broiled on top like hash browns and a seafood soup the felt more northern China than Seoul. I am vegetarian and if you let the staff know, they are more than willing to accommodate many of their dishes for you. Food was great, and portions sizes are huge. Seafood pancake was amazing and Soondubu Soup was lit. 10/10 would recommend

I was pleasantly surprised with the portion at BBB Tofu House. I came in during lunch time and got the Galbi and tofu soup combo. The Galbi was a decent size and was soo delicious.
