    Chicken Katsu curry
    Christine S.

I was going through my Yelp recommendations and Yumee popped up. I love Korean food! The pictures others took made me hungry, and I needed an excuse to get something out haha. The location itself it gives a hole in the wall vibe, with some tables and chairs scattered around the dining room. You order at the kiosk and then pick up your food at the counter when your number is called. I got the chicken, Katsu curry and a small order of the soba . The meal is massive! The curry comes with a good portion of rice and a large chicken Katsu cutlet . With it comes a tempura, dipping sauce, dressed cabbage on the side and bonchon of kimchi and pickled radish, perfect palette, cleansers, and snacks! The soda came in a cold broth, and it was extremely refreshing and delicious, it reminded me of my time in Japan . The curry was perfect with a bit of sweetness and a hint of a chocolatey flavor, but with a savory base. The whole meal was perfect, and the service was wonderful, I will definitely be back. The portions were amazing for the price, which was not a wallet buster!

I went to Yume Katsu and really enjoyed the food overall. I ordered the cheese katsu and the chicken katsu, and both were crispy, flavorful, and well-balanced. The texture was really satisfying and everything was nicely presented. The only downside was the side dishes -- they felt a bit limited in portion and variety, so the meal felt a little lighter than expected. It is a bit of a far drive for me, and while I liked it, I'm not sure I would drive across town just for it. I'd probably come back if I'm already in the area, but not go out of my way.

This place was just okay! First let me start off with what threw me off the most: on all tables was a QR code saying they will give you a free beverage for a 4 star or higher review. Are all the high reviews on this place really honest or did they want a free beverage? We just came back from Japan where we ate plenty of Katsu and my husband wanted to take me out to surprise me as he saw good reviews on this place. We ordered on an iPad at the front door and prices were pretty high but we came far so that didn't stop us. He got chicken katsu and I got pork curry katsu. The restaurant was half full which made us feel like it was a good choice, but they must have been there because I think all foods are cooked one at a time it was so slow to get our food. I'd think it was fresher, but the curry was lukewarm and the rice was cold. There was heavy seasoning on the katsu and rice but no katsu sauce offered. The cabbage had a strange dressing on it served to us, it tasted like applesauce? Not sure where other reviews say no tipping because the iPad definitely had a section for tipping. Please note that they do not serve you here - you grab your drink from a cooler, you pick up your food at the counter and you place your dirty tray on their rack. For the price and the quality, I can't say we'll be back. Just a pre-heads up on the potentially unhonest reviews on here for an exchange of a free item, we wish we knew that before we came.

Honestly really impressed with this katsu spot! It was a little pricier than I expected, but it also came with a lot more food than I expected! The fry on the katsu is so good, it's like light and crispy and not super bready. I really liked the assorted katsu but I wish it also came with the fish katsu so that you really can try a bit of everything. The shrimp katsu was a big favorite of mine too. Again the fry was amazing and the shrimp itself was so soft it all practically dissolves in your mouth. The curry is also really good. It tastes like grocery store curry but in a good way, like very homey and familiar. I also love all the side dishes. The pickled veggies and cabbage work so well in brightening the heaviness of everything. And I really loved the wasabi and salt on the katsu. The soup was also really good, and it had a bit of heat to it which was nice. Only things to note are that if you get the cheese katsu, make sure to eat it when it's hot. It's not as good when it cools. And also you order off kiosk which is all good and dandy, but it's so close to the door that once it starts getting busy in here, the entrance way gets so clogged full of people.

Came here with a friend who recommended this place and it definitely did not disappoint! They specialize in katsu curry but they also serve other dishes like bulgolgi, tteokbokki, and noodles. It's a self serve casual style restaurant. You order from a kiosk and pick up your food from the counter. But all the staff were very nice! There's a good amount of seating and the turn over is pretty good so I don't think it would be hard to get a table. The food came out fairly quickly in my opinion and it was definitely fresh and hot. It was also delicious! I wish it wasn't so far from where I live. But I would love to come back!

Yum! This just opened and I was so excited to try it! It's a no frills restaurant with a kiosk in the front where you can order from. My friends got some katsu entrees and I got the tofu soup. When it came out we were pleasantly surprised by the presentation, it came with a bunch of sides and was a great portion. Once we tried our food everyone immediately agreed that we picked a good spot to try. Instantly we knew we would be coming back again. The service was also good as well, even though there is limited interaction with the employees the ones we did have were great. Very friendly and they even asked across the counter if we enjoyed it. Loved the place and hope to come back soon!

    Shrimp tempura and udon soup

I finally made it to Yumee Katsu in the Woo Sung market plaza and it was everything I hoped for. The closest thing I've found to teishoku dining in the area! I had to start with my favorite dish, curry katsu, and because the place is making both Japanese and Korean dishes it came with spicy and sweet pickled radishes, a cabbage salad with a sweet tangy dressing, and a cup of broth with some tempura puffy bits soaking in it. The pork katsu was expertly fried, crunchy to the last piece but not rock hard or too thick, and perfectly tender and juicy pork within. The curry wasn't overly sweet and had that silky richness that you don't get with box roux so you know they're doing it from scratch. My friend got the udon which has a light broth, nice thick and chewy noodles, fried bean curd strips, tempura bits, scallions and seaweed. We also tried the tempura shrimp which had the same perfect crust but creamy and sweet inside. Don't be thrown by the $20 curry katsu price on the kiosk, it doesn't mention the sides and soup included and it was very filling. Absolutely worth the price. The place is self-serve but the staff were still present and very welcoming and attentive. It's quiet and clean, not a lot of decor aside from mouthwatering photos of the food. If I had just a few suggestions that would bring this place to a 11/10 it would be some togarashi available on the tables (I enjoy a bit more spice) and the option to add an egg in the udon. Otherwise zero notes, I will be making it a point to go back as often as possible to try all their menu - definitely need to give the cheese katsu a try and the soondubu.

Love the kiosk order, no tipping system here like they have in Atlanta! Order by kiosk, grab your own drink and meal from counter, and put your own tray back and the food is GOOD! This is a Korean owned katsu place. We got the curry pork katsu with both rice and udon, and the fish katsu. Highly recommend asking for wasabi which was mellow enough to add a great flavor add to both the fish and the pork. Curry was flavorful, sweet, and not spicy at all for my scaredy cat tastes! Fish katsu came with a tartar sauce and each item had a nice cook and crisp! Wish the tonkatau was slightly more fattier but overall would definitely come back! Cabbage salad had a sweeter pear style dressing. Same plaza as Woosung Korean market for asian grocery shopping and Skycraft Parts & Surplus for electronic parts. There are some differences between their online menu with the kiosk having more options available. Would recommend to the owners a second kiosk to keep the front moving if it gets busy.

Tried this place for the first time a few weeks ago and i'm hooked! I have gone back twice since then and plan on keeping this in my rotation. I dropped one of my shrimp katsus and they insisted on bringing me a fresh one even though i said its okay! Also love that its self service. The katsu itself is great and i love to get a side of curry to dip it in.

I have been trying to find a place that makes udon curry katsu in Orlando and I'm so glad I finally found yumee katsu! You order at a kiosk and they will call your number when it's ready, service is pretty quick depending on how busy it is. Nice open spacious place with plenty of tables.

I have now made it to Yumee Katsu twice and both times I absolutely loved it! I drive from Tampa to Orlando regularly for shopping in the area, but honestly I'd do the drive just to visit here in a heartbeat. Both times I have gotten the Pork Katsu Curry Rice and my mom has gotten the Pork Katsu Curry Udon. Both dishes are so good that it makes it hard to get anything else! I'm always craving it when I'm in the area. The kimchi that comes with the dish is always crispy and fresh with a little bit of spice, and the pickled radish is nice and tangy. The cabbage salad is delicious! I finish it very quickly every time. The soup that also comes with it has a lot of flavor. The second time I visited mine actually came with a tonkatsu sauce that it didn't the first time! I wish I had gotten more of it, I loved it that much. The pork is fried to perfection and is nice and crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. Honestly there is not a single complaint about either dish except I wish I bought a second serving every time. The restaurant is self service, with a kiosk at the front to order from. There is also a menu on the table next to the kiosk as well as QR codes outside to view. I really do like kiosk ordering since it takes away a bit of anxiety of figuring out what to order as quickly (and is nice for anyone who may have issues with pronouncing dishes!). They call out your number when your order is done and you pick it up and take it to your seat. There is a cart to put your empty tray when done by the pickup counter. They also have self serve water available, but you can also buy a bottle or cans of soda. They just recently added drinks and I absolutely recommend them! I cannot fully remember what I picked since I picked at random, but we did get a lemonade and a strawberry tea and they were delicious. I do recommend putting a small hole in the paper lid/covering along with the straw hole to add some airflow otherwise it suctions a little when taking a drink and makes it hard. Overall, this is one of my favorite places to come eat. The staff is wonderful and so nice. The food is good. It's so worth the trip!

King Donkatsu: A massive, oversized pork cutlet served with a special dipping sauce.

Yumee Katsu is specializing in Korean-influenced katsu, known for being exceptionally crispy. It's a quick counter self service restaurant, however all food is made to order so it may take some time but it definitely worth the wait. The King Don Katsu on their menu is massive, king-sized panko-breaded pork cutlet that is very Instagram worthy. The Assorted Katsu has the trio including pork, shrimp, and cheese katsu, great for the people like me who have hard time making decisions. Both dishes I had today were great at the portion sizes and reasonably priced. Although the interior dining area was just simply decorated with few food pictures and totally not fancy at all, I still think it is a great lunch spot and will recommend it to everyone I know.

    Cheese katsu
    Marilyn S.

We came to this place specially in search of the cheese katsu! We shared the dish because it was too much for any of us as an entree. Cheese melted perfectly within its panko crust served with a light cabbage salad, a soup, a dab of wasabi and a tamarind sauce. The chicken and pork katsu were cooked perfectly and served with the same cabbage salad. The side of kimchi and daikon pickles were great companions to this dish! Self service in this establishment from placing the order at the screen at the door to bussing your own table. Personally would have liked to see a "cleaning station" that holds paper towels and sanitizer to clean tables but it wasn't in place this visit. We sat at one of the tables without crumbs....this was the only down side. They have a no tipping policy in place, a unique concept in this country!

For this night we arrived at 5:45pm, right before the dinner rush hit. We did the Bite30 menu and between the 2 of us we had the deep fried beef dumplings, the buldak (spicy chicken), the Korean bbq combo, beef tongue, and for dessert we had the bungeopang and the hotteok. Everything was so delicious! Our waiter, Andy, was really really sweet and basically cooked the first tray of bbq for us and told us how he likes to use the banchan. He and my husband, who is Spanish, chatted about struggling to eat their culture's food growing up, which made me feel a little better about ordering my kid's chicken nuggets. We basically let him choose all of our food and he was spot on with all of his recs. If you can sit in Andy's section when you come, you must!!

My favorite meal of all time is Bibim Naengmyeon. I specifically came to try theirs out. I've had it at many restaurants, and have my own preferences on it. I'm unsure the official way it should be made or prepared, so this is only based off my preference. Theirs was chilly but not cold. For example, the apple slices were room temp, but the bowl was cold to touch. It didn't have ice in it, and the noodles were very chewy like japchae. So chewy that it was difficult to bite. They did provide scissors for this reason and the waitress cut it up a bit at the table before serving. The taste was fabulous. The classic flavor we know and love. I will definitely order it again even though it doesn't fully meet my personal preferences of ice and less chewy noodles. My table also got the dumplings and the dumpling ramen. Both were delicious. The lack of a star is for the service and the smell of the place. The smell wasn't of pleasant food, more like dirty dish water. I'm hoping this was a fluke. The service was dismissive, but efficient. I was ignored to my face, but I'm not too upset because everything came out fast and fine. I know this might bothers others though.
