The galbi was a bit underseasoned compared to other spots I've tried, but it still had a nice, homemade feel. The real star here is the soondubu -- it has an incredibly rich, deep broth that tastes like it's been simmering for hours. You can tell the chef knows this is the main attraction, and they do it justice. The sundae (Korean blood sausage) was a generous portion and such a rare find in Jacksonville, so I was really happy to see it on the menu. Great spot in the food court at Lotte Food Market. This is my second time dining at this spot. Last time I went, I tried their blood sausage and some kind of spicy fried chicken dish. Both were very delicious. This time, I got the combo of soondobo and kalbi. I got a buzzer from the woman at the counter waited not too long until my order was ready. The soondobo came out bubbling hot and I ordered medium spicy. It was packed with flavor and had just the right amount of heat. It was actually the best I have had. The kalbi came with white rice, and a tiny bonachón of black bean, and kimchi. It was a decent portion but the flavor was lacking. It was a decently cooked meat but it was missing that signature kalbi flavor like it wasn't marinated and grilled. I saw someone else mention the same issue on their review so it doesn't seem like a one off thing. I always get the Spicy tofu soup/Spicy pork combo. The spicy soup is usually seafood but I change it to kimchi instead. The soup is always a hit, very flavorful and spice is up to my standards. For spicy pork though, I think over the years they've made their spicy pork not spicy anymore.. I don't know if it's because other customers complained it was too spicy but that's why it's called spicy pork! I hope they make it as spicy as it was before they changed it, now the pork isn't even red at all. They've changed the sides from beans to different vegetables that I like way better! I decided to have jjam ppong (noodles with spicy seafood). Sure it is not their main thing (tofu or dooboo), but the picture on the menu twisted my arm...very firmly, albeit virtually. As you can tell in the picture, the portion was huge. It smelled and tasted wonderful. The broth was spicy, and the clams, mussels, and prawns were all there appeasing my palate. I'm a huge fan of tofu, especially when it's incorporated into curries or thick broth. That being said, Seoul Soon Tofu's chicken bulgogi and tofu stew really exceeded any expectations I had. For $16, I definitely wanted something decent, but it was actually amazing. The stew was served boiling in a pot with an oozing egg garnish to add a wow-factor. The aroma was all I needed to know I had paid for an experience on top of a meal. The chicken was a little greasy, but that barely took away from how delicious it was. I didn't do a lot of mixing between the two dish components, but I thought they shined individually. To eat here, you have to visit the Lotte Plaza Market and try out their food court. It's attached to multiple other businesses and has a central seating area that's first come, first seated. Jjamppong: The most tastiest seafood stew I've ever had This place was life-changing! My combo came out to almost $20 and my sister's jjamppong was $10 and hers was definitely a better deal. I would have to agree with the rest of the reviews and say the for the price, the portion is quite small. I had four thinly sliced pieces of galbi and a small tofu stew for $20 while my sister's seafood stew was $10 and was huge! I would definitely go for that next time. I've eaten here twice and I enjoyed the first time so much I got the same thing the second time as well. I had the #1 with mushroom veg. I'll admit that I'm not familiar with Korean dishes so I'll explain it as best as I can. What I got is a tofu stew that comes sizzling hot in a small kettle pot. The smell was incredible, and the taste; delicious! It was deeply flavorful, spicy! but I couldn't stop eating. Checked out this food court option in Lotte market. I got the seafood tofu soup with spicy pork combo. I agree with prior reviewers. It lacks spice so in retrospect would definitely ask for extra spicy. The soup was good, it comes in a 16 oz container (not 32 oz like the jigae they sell at the premade section at the back of the market) so keep that in mind if you really wanted to chow down. It was flavorful with lots of seafood/tofu inside but again, it lacked the essential spiciness. The spicy pork was okay, way too much oil though. I'd probably order something different if I were to try them again. read more

Get the jjambong (Seafood noodle soup)!! If I'm not getting the noodle soup the tofu combo with the pork or beef is always a great option. The broth is flavorful. We've had other dishes on the menu but not memorable to want to get it again (fried pork, jajangmyeon) read more

Definitely SPICY, but not enough to stop eating. There was a little bit of beef but an ample amount of the silky soft tofu, and a beautiful egg inside. The pork itself also came with rice, with black bean and kimchi banchan. I'm not normally a fan of the beans, but the kimchi was delicious, and the pork itself was stellar. Loved every bite of food. Also got a gimbap to split with my mom. Super tasty on its own and dipped in the soup broth! This is my second time ordering from them - the first time I ordered Jjajangmyeon and a gimbap as well, but took it home 2 hours away. Still tasted absolutely delicious. read more

We ordered Kimchi Soon Tofu with Spicy Pork and Seafood Soon Tofu with Grilled Mackerel. They're delicious. My daughter ordered the Jjol Myeon and it was just ok. Went here for lunch while in Orlando while looking for boba to drink. The food was good, although portion sizes were a little small for the price. It was approximately 15 dollars and my girlfriend and I both left hungry, which could've been prevented by going to other places in the food court. Food had good flavor as well. Huge fan of Lotte mart, been to one in Asia so was hoping for some good food at the food court and Soeul soon tofu did not dissappoint. I got the spicy pork with soondubu combo for $16-$17. Seems expensive but it definitely was not a small meal, it was like having 2 courses with the amount of meat they gave. Also the black beans are good and the soup broth is actually really flavorful. Most of the time, I've had food court soondubu and it takes kind of watered down, this one was real rich and good heat(ask for medium or HOT). Also the spicy pork soft tender goes great with rice. Only thing I would complain about is the styrofoam box, if I'm eating in can't they just put everything in a metal bowl and not cause so much trash waste! Seoul Soon Tofu is a Korean food court located in the Lotte Market on the corner of West Colonial and John Young Parkway. It's essentially, a big Korean Super Market with 5 food stalls. Parking is ample so no complaints there. Walking in, you will immediately see the fruits and vegetable section. Immediately to your right is the food section. Ample seating arrangements unless you come on a Sunday around noon. I was lucky to get there around 1145am with a few open spots. I ordered #6 Galibi with the tofu soup. I elected not to get the soup as I ordered another dish from Taglish. They charged me the same price and offered me to add more meat to the dish. I said yes! The galbi came sizzling hot on an iron plate which was in top of a wooden cradle along with 3 small sides. They consisted of kimchi, shredded veggies and rice. The meat was seasoned perfect and not overly drenched in the sweet sauce. It also had onions that was buried underneath the mound of meat. The menu has a lot of options I have yet to try.
